Was looking for a place to buy another firearm and comparing shops so I read through the reviews and came up on this one in which I copied and will paste here. The owners response is as BIGOTED as they come wowWent there today, first time customer, wanted to try out the range and the staff was not very friendly. I was expecting more of a one on one explanation on how everything works but they just expected me to read a paper. My family and i left.Response from the owner4 years agoThey refused to read our rules, and did not want to pay the lane fee. The staff bent over backwards to help these (Spanish )visitors. Just goes to show you cant please everyone

Well, I dont know squat about guns.My oldest nephew died suddenly last June of a heart attack. He was 49!Living in Miami he also had a concealed weapons permit.While cleaning out his brothers home my other nephew found guns and ammo which he had no use for, so I called Fowler Firearms to get some info about what he found.I spoke to Mike who answered my questions explaining his answers to me, a novice about guns and ammo to where I understood enough to pass along the info (with notes of course) to my nephew in Pembroke Pines.I appreciated him taking his time with me. He was polite and answered whatever inane questions I had for him.As a woman, I would feel welcome and comfortable going in their store.Thanks Mike!

Although my father and I had a great time shooting at this facility some of the staff seemed impatient with our questions about the weapons we chose to rent. We are both new to guns considering we are Canadian and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and understood how to operate each weapon before entering the range (we shot 7 different weapons). 2 of the pistols we chose jammed every few shots and each time we asked they come into the range and fix the gun but they didn’t seem thrilled. Ammo is expensive compared to other ranges in the area. They have a nice variety of guns but some of the pistols clearly need to be cleaned and oiled more often.

Great shooting experience for us as beeing tourist! The men were very helpful by introducing us to the guns. It is a family friendly place and also the price is really cheap compared to German prices. We would suggest every tourist this place to get his first shooting experience or for more.

Been to a couple other ranges in the area and they act like the are doing you a favor by being there. These people are passionate about what they do and want to help you find the right fit. Super happy with the customer service and reccomend anyone in the area to stop by.

I am a member of this range went to shoot my new pistol there. They didn’t have any ammo in stock and then they charged me to shoot my own ammo. Unbelievable.! Stay away from this place. I won’t be back.

I was recently in this store looking at a semi-auto rifle which was laying on the counter in front of me as I was talking to the salesperson about it. Another salesperson grabbed the rifle handed it to another customer and told the guy behind the cash register to ring it up. The rude salesperson looked at me and said we dont have time for browsers.Worst experience ever in a gun shop. Ill never go back there.

Very professional and friendly staff. I have visited this Fowler Firearms a few times and have had no issues and only positive experiences.The store has a nice open layout, its an average size and they have a good selection of firearms in various calibers and at reasonable brick and mortar prices. They have a wall of range bags and tactical style backpacks and another wall with accessories such grips and speedloaders.The range serves its purpose. I believe there is 6 lanes, they all have a nice barrier between lanes and there is a bench behind for seating. They have a large selection of rental guns from .22 to slugs. They have rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers. The only constraint is you have to use their ammo which I believe is because of their insurance. A 50rd box of 9mm runs 18.95 as of (May 2017). They offer 100rds of .22 ammo for $13 and 50rd of .45 for $27 just to give a price range. These prices can vary.They offer a yearly membership that allows you to have free rentals and range time, you just have to pay for ammo and targets (unless toy bring your own targets). They also have free range days for women and men, check their website for additional info on that.Im am overall happy with the service and professionalism I receive every time I go. I would definitely recommend.

Not their fault, but due to the ammo shortage they provide (9mm) lead bullet ammo in bags that gunk up the tip of my barrels. I will not return until they replace their ammo or allow customers to use their own.2 Stars because I enjoy coming over with my son and simply shoot.

Very helpful staff. I took the CCW class and it was quick and painless. If you can go during the week its not nearly as busy and you can get to a lane right away. I would suggest going somewhere else if you need an FLL for online purchases because you can get a better price.

Im going there frequently, or when ever I have time because the people there are friendly and very helpful, willing to answer all questions about guns, ammo and regulations. I cant understand people who complain about this gun range and the ammo prices, range fee and so on. Inform yourself before you go somewhere and if you dont like the price and the rules go somewhere else. I think they are fair priced all around, the range is clean and safe. And before you complain ask yourself if it is possible it is you who act like an elephant in a china store. Then I would ignore you to. In my book, this people and the range are great!!

Had a great experience today as a woman buying my first gun. The staff were friendly, and patient with me. They allowed me to shoot the gun and I was even able to take the concealed carry class.Side note: my dad and husband are retired Army and it was not my first time handling or shooting a gun, just the first time buying my own.

My buddies and I stopped in a few weeks ago. We spoke to several of the staff there and they were very helpful, honest and spent as much h time as we needed, even though they were crowded. Im retired LE and its a huge plus when you have qualified and staff that are patient with people.we didnt get a chance to shoot bc we came in late, but were going there tomorrow to try the range out. Ill leave another rating tomorrow evening.

Some of these reviews are just insane! The staff is very nice, and the range is very clean. To complain about sweeping your own ammo is ridiculous! People complaining about the price is ridiculous! I find the ammo prices to be reasonable. I mean, how do you expect this place to make money?! Anywhere you go, ANY STORE anywhere charges reasonable prices for services to guess what people ?! MAKE MONEY. Why else would you open a shooting range or any store for that matter. Clearly all of you complaining about the prices don’t have business knowledge. A facility not making money goes out of business. Don’t listen to some of these reviews ! I highly recommend this range. I’m a woman and have never felt uncomfortable, patronized or felt like I was being dumbed down by the staff. My family & I will continue to come here !

Charge three times as much for FFL transfers as the nearby chain firearm store. So much for giving my money to small businesses. They feed you BS about why they charge so much, say it’s “complicated”. Their system is antiquated and inefficient, that’s the real problem.

I was in the market to purchase my first handgun and decided to give Fowler a try. And let me tell you I was not disappointed. I was able to try many different guns to find what fit me. The staff, especially Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did not try to sell me more than I needed and helped find the perfect fit for me. The range is clean and fun to shoot at. The deal they have on Thursday’s and Fridays is awesome. They also offer the CWP class here. And with the class you get their platinum membership. I highly recommend Fowler Firearms. I will definitely be a customer of Fowler for life.

I went to this range over a year ago. As I have said in my other reviews and I am am not a newbie to guns and gun ranges albeit 22 target rifle and hunting. With that said I have never shot an AK47 or AR but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The gentleman that helped me was a vet and served in Vietnam. He was very professional and friendly. He helped us fire multiple guns that fit the amo I bought. Extremely helpful. Lots of selection of guns to try.The range was smaller than the range in went to this year but it was far bette.r My son and I shot 4 different weapons and we were there for over an hour and it cost around $60. The pricing structure was very easy to understand. And again they really wanted us to have SAFE fun and it was not about the elite. Even if you are intimidated by guns they will be happy to help... no JUDGMENT. Great place to take someone with no experience. There is NO chance of the staff there making fun of you behind your back over their little internal radios like some places...All around a great experience and I look forward to taking my wife there and she is not a gun person at all and I know she will enjoy herself.Go and enjoy yourself!

A bit pricey, would recommend going on one of their free rental/range days.Could do without the Trump memorabilia everywhere, though. Great range, not all that busy so you feel you get a more personal experience. Only thing keeping me from rating 5 is the ammo is a little expensive @ 20.00 a box being the cheapest ammo they have for .40. that combined with the fact you can’t pay as you go kind of seems like a ploy to get you to run up the bill without you realizing . (When I asked for 2 boxes of .40 he gave me to and when I tried to hand the card over he told me you pay at the end . ) just know you’ll pay a little more for the more personal experience. BUT OVERALL AMAZING

Very nice place! Me and my husband went here for our very first time shooting, we walked in and were helped right away even though it was a Saturday and pretty busy. The waver and shooting process was very simple which we really appreciated. The staff was very informative and very kind to us newbies lol. With the gun rental you are able to fire as many guns as you want with the purchase of the ammo and we had a blast with the few we picked! I would recommend to anyone and we will be going back!

Knowledgeable patient staff! Every indoor gun range makes you buy their ammo. Face it, do you want to be shooting next to someone who may have packed their own casing? The staff actually pays attention to the cameras, and every patron. This allows you to feel safe while you shoot. I attended the Introduction to firearms class and its packed full of helpful safety, and shooting tips. I highly recommend this facility. Its clear why they have been around for so many years.

Looking to purchase some firearms so I was doing my do diligents via reading reviews. Store owners/workers should be very careful when responding to negative reviews because it can make them sound Trumpian (always right even if there mom says they werent the best kid) i.e. this Response from the owner 2 years agoYou new the store policy when you purchased the firearm. You told the sales person that you could not afford to complete the purchase, yet in this review you say you found a better price elsewhere. You wont be missed. Really! I am not going there.

They don’t hold what they say is a lousy way to take a $150.00 from you. Even they say something get it write down or you’re screw.

I went into the store today when I was greeted with respect and professionalism by both employees, as a woman I’m very skeptical about entering a man’s world and both employees made me feel very comfortable and one of the employees even took extra at a time while I was in the range to instruct me at no charge and help me tighten my shooting pattern to near perfection. I would strongly recommend this facility to any woman in the Fort Myers area. I feel very very comfortable with the guys at the store and look forward to coming back on a weekly basis to train and get better at shooting

Now if youre looking for a place to try out some new and different firearms this is it. Great selection of rentals with their own ranges. I didnt find them particularly helpful if just renting a lane to shoot your own but expected I guess. Not very big, though. They need more lanes. Popular so theres usually a wait.

Went here on Sun. had a great time shooting with my wife and a friend. The staff was very helpful and easy to deal with. The range was small but very nice to shoot in, and the gun rental was great. If you dont know what you want or have not done a lot of shooting this is the place to go.

Fantastic! Friendly and helpful! This was my first visit to a gun range and I had never fired a gun before. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions and showed me all of the basics. One of the guys even hung around to help me out and show me the ropes. Although I have not had prior experiences in other ranges, I can say for sure that they went out of their way to treat me with respect and never left me with the feeling I was an idiot for not knowing everything about guns. I went on a Friday where they had free range time and gun rental. I didnt even need to bring my own gun! Of course they charged me for the ammo, but hey, they are a business! I found out later that the price of the ammo was what I would have paid at Walmart. Good deal! In conclusion, I would definitely recommend Fowler Firearms to anyone, especially the beginner!

Im a 79 year old great-grandmother. Last year, after the Paris attacks, I was afraid if Clinton won the election I might not be allowed to buy or carry a gun if some government clerk decided I was too old. I bought a gun, got my concealed carry permit, and started learning at Fowler Firearms. I found it to be a very safe place to learn. The people who work there make sure you learn properly. They have patience and knowledge and take the time to come into the range and help to improve your skill. Ive been joined by my 85 year old sister and my two adult daughters. Ive been thanked by many law enforcement officers for taking responsibility for my own safety and that of my loved ones. I never want to be in the position of the people in Paris, who had no defense whatever when they were attacked by terrorists.

Went there today and it was awesome. Staff was totally friendly and helpful. I was there alone, had to fill a form, got an instruction and was allowed to shoot. Could ask for support at any time and shoot different guns. You just pay for the ammo and the target sheets (not expensive). Took the concealed class today with my husband and in-laws and thought it was great! The instructor was right to the point of what you needed to know about carrying a firearm. Definitely enjoyed it and being on the range. Cant wait to use my range membership!

I read reviews before coming. Decided I wanted to go anyway because I wanted to take their CCW class. They offer a platinum membership with the class. It includes free range time and free fire arm rentals. Without it the range is $10 a person and $25 for rentals(one time fee for all rentals that day). We got a box of 100 22 for $11.99, a box of 50 9mm for 18.99 and tried a bunch of guns. No complaints.

Great staff, but I can not recommend unless youre law enforcement.This range inflates ammo prices, which you must use there ammo to use the range. If youre not a member they charge a lane fee, inflated ammo fees, and a target fees.Law enforcement doesnt pay for lane fee. LEOs also get 5% off guns I think.For example, a box of CCI mini mags 100 count sells for $12.99 here. Walmart, or any other retailer sells that box anywhere for $6-8. A box for Remington thunder bolts goes for $40 here; anywhere else its $22-26.I understand a business has to make money, but asking for a lane fee and having 40-60% mark up on ammo is insane.The CCW class is given almost every other day, and while its a little more expensive than other places it gives you a platinum pass, which gives you free range time for a year and unlimited gun rentals.Overall great places, but rental guns need better maintenance. I cant recommend unless you use them to obtain your CCW. After my pass expires Ill probably exclusively use Cecil Webb park.Do not use there transfer service. They charge $75 dollars for a transfer Im assuming thats to price out transfers as in they dont want to perform them. Most pawn and gun shops charges 20-30 bucks in lee county.I recommend ECP Outdoors for online transfers they only charge $20.

Interesting business model, in terms of pricing. Seems to be drawing most of their margin from ammunition sales, charging Sandy Hook shortage level prices on ammo required to purchase in order to use their range.Range membership gives you access to a number of rentals for a nominal annual fee (includes guest) but the ammo fess are cost prohibitive for me. With ammo costs coming down now, I wonder if this establishment will be returning to a more traditional model in the coming year.Light on inventory by comparison but other than the ammo issue, I like this shop. Good services, knowledgeable people. I would consider shopping here again but buyer beware on total cost to shoot.

Nice range with a good assortment of firearms to try. Went there with the kids for a fun time and to teach them gun safety (14 and 9 yo). We dont have anything similar in Sweden so this was great for us.You can borrow eye and ear protection on the range so come as you are.Don t know about the prices compared to US standards but for europeans its definitely worth stocking up on accessories like slings and holsters here./Swedish Army Ranger

My son and I (UK residents) visited this range twice in the past week. I am very surprised to hear negative comments about the staff, their treatment of us was superb in every respect. We were also impressed by the wide range of guns available to rent. Im not familiar with ammo prices but for what we paid we had two very enjoyable sessions; we can spend more in a bar than we spent here!

Came here because I wanted to rent 2 shotguns so i could decide what to buy. After shooting them, i was still unsure because they were so similar. They were busy, but still took the time to talk to me and give me alot of good info on each gun and helped make my decision alot easier. They matched me up with the best shotgun/ammo combo to fit my needs and comfort level while shooting. Im 100% confident on which firearm I will be purchasing.

I have to give this place a perfect rating. Today was my third time coming to this establishment. I knew what gun I was looking for when I came in and the gentleman who helped me led me right to it. I was looking for a Sig P938 to conceal. I wish I could remember his name (he seemed like the owner. I could be wrong). Luckily I grabbed the last one! The price for a Sig as we all know is a little high, and it did not come with a spare magazine. Sig magazines are quite pricey. He factored in all of that and gave me a killer price with a spare magazine included and gave me a platinum membership to the range for a year. I was very pleased with my experience today. Also, one of the most positive things about this place is that every single time I come into Fowler Firearms, is that they dont treat me like I am dumb and that I know nothing about firearms. They respect me. Big plus for me! I see lots of reviews on here complaining about ammo costs. Yes they are a little more expensive ammo wise, but how can they make money if they dont charge a little extra for ammo? After all I can shoot here any time I like and rent anything I want! Good place to go for CCW Class. Only an hour class. Would only recommend for people that are familiar with guns. There firing range is decent. Ammo and targets are way over priced.

I really want to like this range but everytime I go in the help doesnt seem to really want to take the time to help. It always appears to me that I am bothering them with question. On the positive note, I did get my Conceal Carry permit training here and it was great. The instructor was very good and helpful.

This is the place in Fort Myers to shoot. They are reasonably priced and the range itself is really nice. A nice selection of rental guns and firearms for sale. I would love to give this place the best rating possible, BUT.... The friendliness of the staff is not the best. Every time I ask for help they act like they are being burdened to have to help me. They tend rush me so that they can get back the huddle of their fellow employees in the front corner socializing.

Took the cwfl class here today, and it was our first time there. Ive been to other gun ranges before and theyre staff have been very upright but not here. They have a lot of fun selection and the staff is friendly and informed. I am definitely going back to this place.

Return policy is most abhorring.Purchased a used weapon, which had a 15 day hold. I found a better price elsewhere, so I decided to have a refund credited to me for the return of the unit. $75 Restocking feeReally?? After years of purchases at this store!They had no mercy, so I will not have mercy either and will never return here for a purchase or range time.

Heres the deal. You would figure a gun store would be pro 2A right? I usually go to the range, down the street and they too have a sign on the door referring to loaded gun carry. They also support 2A and the right to conceal carry. They ask that you keep your weapon concealed. OK, thanks for respecting my rights. Fowler Firearms and Gun Range LLC bluntly are not pro 2A. Strictly in it to take your money. They have a big sign at their door stating no loaded guns. Really, you are a gun store you hold and charge people for concealed carry classes and dont respect their right to conceal carry? I will never go back for any reason, period. Total hypocrites.

Very helpful. They have some great training classes also. They never make you feel stupid, unlike some other local gun ranges. They have been great teaching my kids too.

Staff is very knowledgeable, lets you explain what you want without interrupting, then make good suggestions. You can hold any gun you want, and they have ALL the cool stuff!

Ammo is almost 2x the price as anywhere else. You cant use the exact same ammo they have if you bring it. They just like to screw you over. The staff just likes to hear them-self talk and think they know what you really want and push and push it even when you say thats not want what your looking for. Overall Id warn everyone to stay as far away from here especially when theres way to many gun stores and ranges within a reasonable distance from this one to let this store get away with all this kinda stupid bs they been up too.

Used the range twice during our latest trip to the Cape and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dealt mainly with William but all the staff are very helpful, friendly and of course knowledgeable. I have no idea where the negative reviews come from. People complain about the price of their experience but if you go on a Friday, you use their facility and their firearms (of which there are many) and only pay for the ammo and targets. What more could you want. Fowlers will be a regular part of my vacations from now on. Dave, Ontario

Staff is very good. Though I have never purchased a firearm from here, the prices seem a little high but they come with $100 in range coupons which is worth noting. It’d be better if they came with some deal on ammo instead like 2 boxes of ammo to shoot on their range or something. I would definitely look harder at their selection if that were the case. The ammo is overpriced.For using the range my recommendation is only using it for handguns or if you want to become familiar with a particular firearm (buying your first gun, etc.) The rifle ammo is just too high. When I go to Fowler I typically only shoot 22lr and 9mm. But you can’t go here to shoot 100 rounds of 223/5.56 it will just cost way too much.The concealed carry here is very good. They focus a lot on the laws of concealed carry and I think that’s what’s most important for the course. I would recommend the course too anyone. Went there a few weeks ago with my husband to ask for something they looked at him like he was dumb and just blew it off continued talking and ignored my husband. We went to anotjer store and they knew exactly what he was talking about. We love your store you guys have alot of awsome stuff but that day made you guys look ugly.

I am a long time shooter and have owned hand guns for a quite a number of years. I have shot my guns at a number of different ranges across the country. I have reloaded in the past and am very familiar with ammunition. I buy my own and I know what is best for my needs.I was new to the area and researched the web and found Fowler. I went in to shoot and they had me fill out all of the paper work. After all of that was done, they asked if I needed any ammunition and I said, no I have my own. They stated that they did not allow any outside ammunition in the range and that I would have to buy theirs. What !!!!! I have been in outdoor and indoor ranges all over the country and I have never encountered anything like this. I was so stunned that I did not ask what kind of ammunition they carried or how much it cost. This was not mentioned on their website (or at least it was not prominent) and I am positive that they have encountered this before. Why did they not tell me this before I began to fill out all the paper work??? Seems like a scam to make money off of ammunition. I was very upset and walked out. I drove down the street and found Shoot Straight. Very good experience and I will be back.

Great place. I went to shoot straight first, trying to buy my first gun, and they treated me like I was dumb. So I decided to go over to fowler. I should have went there in the first place. Staff is great and very helpful. They sold me the gun I wanted with no pressure. The prices are not that bad, I dont know what some reviewers are talking about. You can always go on one of there discounted days and save that way. This is going to be my main spot for now. Thank you fowler firearms!

Im a (very experienced) recreational shooter, not so much a doomsday prepper. I was a little put off by how opinionated and forceful the staff were. At least one of the guys working there was so forceful with his position that we all need to carry guns that he was using scare tactics to try to convince a young woman to arm herself. Im not a fan of scare tactics and hard sell, especially if someone is not comfortable with firearms. Anyway, ammo prices are very high. Gun prices were OK.

Went In On Sunday August 26th To Use The Range, Havent Been In About 6 Months & All New Faces & The Staff Had A Certain Demeanour To Them & We Felt UnWelcome!!! Use To Be A Great Place To Shoot & I Used To Go Every Ladies Day, Bought A Ton Of Products & Firearms As Well, But I Will Never Go Back!!!
