Their ice-cream is amazing. The apple pie flavor had real apple pieces in it, made to perfection, just like in a pie. And the birthday cake ice-cream had actual cake pieces in it. 😋 Definitely a treat for any occasion!

I tried birthday cake ice cream tonight and it had lots of ribbons of blue frosting in it!!! The birthday cake ice cream was out of this world! This is fantastic ice cream place to try. Worst every Rum Raisin was icey maybe because that was the bottom of the bucket. Also the favor for rum was sauce over the vanilla ice cream. My wife had chocolate peanut butter that was creamy and tasty.

I visit this love boat at least 1 a week due to its location, and the variety of flavors is amazing. If an establishment requires me to wear a mask. I wont question it, just do it. Theyre ice cream is so good I would hop on one leg, if they required it. Thankfully, they dont ;). People stop blaming establishments for their policies, if you dont like their policies go somewhere else. I have never had an issue with the employees, probably because I adhere to their policies and I know this because I always get a smile. Keep up the great work and dont get frustrated with the few people who dont have common sense.

This place is a very nice hang out spot, the ice cream is very good and the employees are extremely nice. Would definitely visit here on occasion.

Sub par service, kids serving behave as they just don’t want to be there. Portions are small for price. Ice cream is not premium as you can taste ice crystals which usually points to milk instead of cream being used. Flavors didn’t stand out. Just seams like to many corners are being cut in order to make a buck.

We were waiting in line for 15 minutes and the staff were not using gloves or masks at all. Besides that, the staff was very rude to our family, the man that was serving ice cream skipped us, like we were invisible and asked to the person that was next to us if someone helped him or took his order.I told him that nobody was helping us and he told us to wait until he’s done with the other customer.We didn’t get any ice cream, we left and we will never come back.We appreciate good customer service

I had a hard time choosing what I wanted from their large selection of flavors. I finally settled on a small banana split which to me was a regular sized one, so the portions are generous, which isnt a bad thing when it comes to ice cream! They also have coffee and ice cream (affogato) which I look forward to trying 😃

Best ice cream sundae I think Ive ever had. Very filling regular size (with three scoops of ice cream). The large size would have been 6 scoops. Great way top off a vacation.

Delicious ice cream! The kids really loved it. They offer a variety of fun, dipped cones that our kids loved. They all got the superman ice cream and I got a chocolate malt. You could definitely tell that its a premium ice cream! The malt was so rich and creamy!

The only reason i gave this place an extra star is because their ice cream is actually good. However, i knock off 3 stars due to the staff being unfriendly and condescending.The past 3 times i’ve been here, i’ve had different issues with the staff. First of all, the energy in this place is terrible, they never show and positive attitude and often are very blunt with customers. In one instance we had a girl complain that we gave her our entire order (3 of the same milkshake) instead of ordering them all individually. The last visit we had somebody tell us they were out of ‘shake mix’ now i’m not sure if you’re familiar with the composition of a milkshake, but typically their main ingredients are the ice cream of your choice and milk. I have never heard of anything called shake mix. And i highly doubt that they ran out of milk as it is a key ingredient for ice cream itself.From here on our i will be taking my business to the Coldstone at 41 and daniels where they actually know how to run an ice cream business and treat their customers with respect.

The best ice cream in SWFL. Its always great no matter which location or how often we go. It is a place I always have to take out of town friends and family to each time they visit.

We had discovered this place years ago. Yesterday we traveled 1.5 hours to have tasty treats. A sign on the door required masks with NO exception for vaccinated individuals. The staff was rude, condescending, and offered no assistance with alternatives other than leaving or calling the police. Neither I nor any of my family will EVER come back . The love boat can choose to enforce the mandate but I can choose not to patronize their establishment.

Ice cream was delicious, weve been there several times over the past few months and the ice cream flavors are always rich and satisfying. It is so smooth and creamy it rolls off the top of your tongue. My gf and I especially enjoyed the brownie sundae. We also like the atmosphere and the strict mask policy to keep everyone safe. Every time weve been in someone has tried coming in without a mask on and every time an associate has requested that have one on while inside the store. We appreciate this and come back again and again to support a business who cares about the health and safety of all its customers.

The ice cream was fairly decent...a bit over priced, but the sizes were big. HOWEVER, the staff was extremely rude! Upon entering you are yelled at to shut the door and you are required to wear a mask or you wont be served. The staff was more concerned about the door being closed and the proper mask attire than they were customer service. At the check out I told them what I had and the young man argued with me that my stuff wasnt there even though it was sitting on the counter. This wasnt worth the hassle. I wont return!

As soon as you enter, Do you have a mask? As the 35 other people in eating area are slopping away at their ice-cream without one! So you put it on and help cant understand what you want. This is the best ice cream in town. We go here regularly with the family and weve never had a bad experience. Jamocha Almond Fudge and Dirty Turtle are amazing!

We were vacationing from another state. We do NOT have to wear a mask in 99% of our state and as far as I can tell, 99% of FL. HOWEVER, the Loveboat is overboard about wearing a mask while in line but you are allowed to eat right beside the order line without a mask. There was not 6 feet between customers but that was not an issue. They want to get as many customers in line as possible. If they want to follow the guidelines, shouldn’t that be something they yell at you about too? The staff were too busy yelling at customers than to serve the people in line. It took a long time to get our order. The ice cream was good but not worth all the yelling, wait and costs. I would NOT recommend the Loveboat.

Lines can be long here but it is worth the wait. The ice cream is all hand dipped and is delicious. The staff can be a little short at times but with the amount of customers they see in a day I can understand a little frustration. And when they day the close at 9pm, they mean 9pm! We saw them turn away a line of people outside the store waiting to enjoy some delicious frozen treats.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. Upon arriving the mask police/employees would not let us come in without a mask. Fine, however, they do not have any mask to give you in case you forgot. Young staff extremely rude. So after the mask nazis give us our ice cream, we then had to sit at a nasty table. Because I guess that’s okay. Also, all available tables were not clean. I will not return to this place. There are better ice creams anyway. We just needed to charge our car.

Very rude!! I will never go back. First of all they are rude asking people in line who have their ice cream to wear their masks —REALLY!! What’s the deal with demanding a mask when there is no more mask mandate. Also I asked for cookie dough and got cookies and cream. When I brought it to the girls attention she told me I asked for cookies and cream—I hate cookies and cream!! Then she said she was ought of cookie dough. So tough luck lady! —Was the feeling I got. Whatever happened to customer service.

Horrible management and very rude staff. My family showed up 10 min prior to closing. After waiting 10 min in line outside a rude employee walks out and tells us they are closed then locks the door. Very rude and unprofessional. # 1 rule in business...NEVER turn your customers away while they are waiitng in line, especially locals. Were the ones that keep your lights on when the birds fly home. Food for thought.

The ice cream is ok But the service and the way the staff treats people that don’t have a mask on is unacceptable. I actually was wearing one and they told me to pull it up higher over my nose that was the last straw I will never support a business like this. There is NO mask mandate in our state why they continue to enforce these policies is beyond me. Will never go back until that is changed!

Walked up. The woman looked at me (Black female) closed the door, and locked it in my face.To be fair, the clock was striking 9.The decent thing would have been to at least speak. Like an adult. Instead of being flagrantly disrespectful in front of customers and make others wonder if there was a racial componant.Moral. Wont be back.

Mask Nazis. After waiting patiently and social distancing with my son I was informed I would not be served without a mask. I informed them I dont have one and Id appreciate you serving my little boy an ice cream cone for his birthday. I was then informed by a purple haired girl that I need to leave or the police will be called. I informed her please do call and she did. As I waited silently for service, a boy scooping ice cream began barking insults at me while I waited with my young son.

Visited the Love Boat Shop on Dani Drive tonight. The staff on duty was very rude to everyone! They continually yelled at customers ‘close the door’ as the line was out the door onto the sidewalk. Customers didn’t realize until they open and see and would then wait outside. In addition, when at the register and the employee got the order wrong and was asked to correct it, her first response was she’s not allowed, but then she did, then when another employee cam to the register to resolve and our mask was lowered momentarily to explain what happened, we were scolded ‘pull your mask up!’ Paying customers, adults, should not be spoken to so disrespectfully by young adult employees. And let’s remember, masks are not mandatory in Florida and some us are vaccinated. But the bottom line, in a time when everyone needs to take a breath, let’s concentrate more on kindness.

The ice cream is very good I get the same thing every time, love going there and I get a small instead of a kids cup its double the ice cream and only a dollar more. Its the best ice cream I have ever had, the staff was very nice and helpful I have never had a bad experience here.

Totally rude staff. Demands customers to leave without the “proper” mask. Publix doesn’t even do this. It’s not a law or a Florida mandate. Will never support this business. ‘Customer service’ doesn’t exist at this place. 0/10 would recommend. This Ben and Jerry’s I’m eating is probably better anyways!

You look for a place where you can enjoy your ice cream but they really put me in a bad mood I tried to choose my ice cream and they rushed me that in the end I decided purely one that I did not like also that they do not make samples which is absurd since There are people in the place eating ice cream without a mask, why wouldnt you give me samples to see if I like it?

First time ever to a love boat and idk how yall make money... Kids size considered the smallest size yet you still get two scoops of whatever you want... Large is 6 scoops still for only like 7 bucks. Im truly not complaining. Cinnamon caramel pecan and apple pie combo was life!!!

Ice cream is good enough. The issue here is lack of smiles. We are done with the masks. The young lady who I guess was just doing her job, saw 2 people walk away shaking their heads.in the 5 minutes I observed.

We arrived after driving 30 minutes of driving to an ice cream shop full of people eating at tables and a paper on the front door saying they closed early and locked the door. My husband was able to get in when a couple left to ask if he could be helped to get a to go order for my son. They were extremely rude in telling him no and that they were closed although they had 6 tables full of people eating and enjoying their ice cream. Terrible customer service.

The older bigger white lady overfilled my ice cream so bad it spilled everywhere. She put napkin all around the ice cream to try and prevent a spill but it ended up in my ice cream and was unable to eat. The other employee, who is always awesome seen her do this and just kind shook her head. I hate coming when the other lady is working. Idk how she has a job maybe shes the owner or related to them? Idk but I was shocked both of them let that happen..

Terrible customer service. I asked for the larger cup, for 3 scoops of ice cream and received an attitude from the girl serving us. Rolling eyes and slamming the ice cream case doors. She had dark hair and tattoos down her arms. Ive been coming to this location since it opened and no one ever questioned or gave me a hard time about asking for the larger cup. If its more expensive, charge me an extra dime or quarter. Great ice cream, but if I get that treatment again, I dont have an issue going elsewhere.

Signs for wearing a mask are everywhere. We entered, not wearing masks. Small store, no social distancing, people not wearing masks 3 feet away from customers in line, eating. So girl behind counter yelling at us to wear a mask, we left.Virus will attack you in line if you don’t wear a mask, but 3 feet away, the virus will not attack you because you are eating ice cream. Ridiculous
