Used to be a great place to shop for hunting and fishing equipment till they shut down both departments and laid off over 10 people, went in there again the other day and it was completely dead on a Saturday. The fact that it’s only camping stuff and no longer anything else I along with many friends are canceling are memberships and credit cards because there is no use/reason to shop there anymore. I loved this place but they’ve ruined it

I had a trailer I wanted to sell and they agreed to purchase it, however after they inspected it they found a problem with the roof-it was rotten in one corner. I was totally unaware of this . The amount they offered me was a bit less than I owed on it. They went ahead snd took it and paid it off for me.I was totally impressed as it took a great burden from me! I would totally recommend them for RV issues. Peter the salesman was great! BTW, I did not purchase a trailer from them and they still took it! It was a great experience!

Purchased our first RV here. A 2020 Mallard M312. Our salesman Gerald was outstanding. Answered all of our questions and kept me in the loop as we were having some items repaired before accepting delivery. Service Department is hopping. Managers, Jay and Chris made sure that my list of repair items were taken care of before delivery. Shopped around the store for supplies and the staff were very helpful. Wasn’t able to pick up my Good Sams coupon book because they were out of stock but staff did provide me the members discount on the items I purchased.My son and I spent the night on the property before heading back home to Big Pine Key, FL.We’re very happy with our TT purchase and highly recommend this Gander RV location in Fort Pierce, Fl. Huge shout out again to Gerald, Jay and Chris. Also the female Manager inside the store who helped us out with our purchases. (Wish I had gotten your name). Thank you again for everything!!

Update, September 2021: zero stars. I found out I was allergic to the insulation in the Airstream, as it is made of wool. I wanted to trade it for something that cost less, and get back part of my $45,000 deposit. I found a great 5th wheel that was $40,000 then what I paid for RV after all the paperwork. They wanted me to have the same loan, meaning I would lose $45,000!!! Plus, they wanted to pay another deposit. That is crazy! I don’t recommend them at all!July 2021: I would highly recommend Gander RV and RV sales associate Todd Bauer! He provided excellent customer service through the whole process and got me into something better than I could ever have expected for a lower price than I thought. Originally I walked in to talk to him about a small RV to live in while I had a custom tiny home built. He showed me 3 models, which were exactly what I was looking for at the time. Then, in talking with me he realized that he had something I might like better than a tiny home, as they had just gotten a used Airstream in and it was exactly what I wanted. Actually, it was a childhood dream come to reality. The finance process was smooth and they got me a lower rate than I expected with more benefits. Since it was used and it was my first RV there were a few hiccups in the set up process, but service fixed those problems and showed me how to use the RV both in their yard and on my site.

The Fort Pierce location runs a great operation. My wife and myself took several trips here to pick the best camper for our needs and not once was I rushed or hassled. Gerald Siew was our salesman and he made it happen. Great deal, but overall he answered all my wife’s questions and made her feel comfortable through the entire purchasing process. I will be returning to this location to make all my camper related purchases. Fantastic operation and the entire sales force did a great job, especially Gerald Siew.

Had to walk out of this place because nobody would listen to us telling them that we werent buying today. Even mentioned that our dog was in our current travel trailer during a surprise thunderstorm and we needed to get to him quickly. They will try and keep you at the table as long as possible. Sales bullying, beware of this place. Not to mention you cant look at their campers without being with a salesman, unlike many of other places around Florida.

If you are looking for rv items then the store is good but the pictures show other outdoor items which are not at this store. No fishing, hunting or clothing sections.

After having a horrible experience at neighboring RV store, coming to Gander RV was such a relief! My husband and I came in for a weight distribution hitch with sway control and were kindly directed to the service department where Dan help us. He kindly and patiently explained the different systems on the market and which were appropriate for our TT given the model and its weight. He answered our questions thoroughly and pleasantly which made us confident in our final selection.We came week later for installation and were impressed by the service provided. Dan received is for our appointment and out assigned mechanic (I forgot his name) took the time to explain how to use them, remove them, and even explained some extra features in our F250 to improve the quality of our hauling.What a great experience from beginning to end. I will definitely return for future parts and service needs.

Absolutely one of the worst and most deceitful sales experience we have dealt with. Communication with anyone is horrible. You can’t get a manager on the phone to save your life and the sales guy just gives you the run around. We wish we would’ve went to a different RV sales center. David, who did our orientation was the only pro to our whole sales experience. Run away as fast as you can from any gander/camping world!

Just walked through, wanted to look at some campers. 11 people sitting/ relaxing in AC. Not one of them on the phone or computer. No one greeted us, asked if we needed help. We went outside and looked through the fence, walked back through and again, not one of them came to help as we stood there waiting! Lost sale today folks!!!

My husband and I just purchased our 1st travel trailer at Gander Outdoors in Ft. Pierce. Our sales associate Gerald was amazing! He listened to our wish list, showed us great options and was very patient during our decision making process. We ended up staying after hours to complete the purchase and walk through because we don’t live in Ft Pierce and had traveled to the store to make the purchase but Gerald and his team members were very accommodating and stayed well past closing hours. Great selection on all things outdoors and top notch customer service. Highly recommend!!!!!

My experience at Gander RV in Fort Pierce is the worst ever. I decided on a purchase and started the paper work then decided to come back the next day to finalize the deal.I drove for about 1hr 45min to the dealership only to find out they brought the wrong RV up front ...the paper work and price was different from the day before.I ask to speak to one of the person in charge, dont want to say names, who told me the price given to me the day before was the wrong price.I said well thats not my fault ...I agree on the price the salesman showed me...Oh theres a big difference between the price and were not going to take the loss he said.We came to an agreement. They brought out the correct RV, so we did a walk through. There was no water to test plumbing, no propane to tests stove and oven. The RV also needed cleaning. I left the RV there with the understanding that it would be properly prepped and all systems checked before delivery.The RV was left there just about 5 days for them to fix and test.They delived the RV and did not test anything.On my 1st outing there was water leaks under the sink, pantry and toilet. Overall my experience at Gander Fort Pierce was horrible I would not recommend this location.

We bought a travel trailer from Gander yesterday. Our sales person, James made our experience one of the best weve ever had. He listened to what we were looking for & our budget. Then he proceeded to show us just that, which we really appreciated. His knowledge of the products, combined with his easy going, no pressure attitude helped us find exactly what we were looking for. He let us know what their process was up front, so there were no surprises. We had an excellent walk through with Deborah, whose knowledge was impressive from years of RVing herself. She showed us a few things and shared some tips that no other place had ever done. When we were ready to hookup, the Service Manager Adam came out to help us with our new sway bar system, most helpful. James was there as well to make sure we were all set. Gander is a big place. Everything you need for the RV community. Its well organized, clean & everyone is friendly and willing to help. I would definitely come back here again. Highly recommend!We just got back from our maiden voyage at Kelly Park/Rock Springs. My daughter met us there but her car was having transmission problems. Our Good Sam Club membership that was part of our purchase covered that issue & Keith in Finance was a great help in getting the car towed to Melbourne, no charge! Also, Theresa in service helped us with an AC setting that we missed. Still very impressed with this place!

Store was very clean and had lots of products but they appear to be eliminating their fishing supplies as they are killing off that line if business. At least that is what someone there told me. Good discounts on limited fishing stuff. They have a lot of camping and RV stuff.

Want to share with everyone our wonderful experience at Gander Camping World in Fort Pierce Florida.My Wife and I went into Gander Camping World to buy a plug for our camper we just bought a few days ago.While inside we saw a camper we really liked but keep in mind we already bought one.A salesperson approached us and we immediately told him we already own one, Todd the salesperson was extremely polite and said he understood. Todd wasnt going to make a sale off of us but he stopped what he was doing to answer questions we had as a newbie. Make long story short we walked into Gander Camping World to buy a plug and left with money down on a new 2021 Camper. There is alot to say about Todd Bauer our sales person his main goal was seeing we were happy to him it wasnt about upselling it was making sure we left with a smile. He took extra time to walk around store go through different sections in store and recommend various products for our camper. He was professional with good communication skills. He returned our phone calls and text messages and addressed our concerns almost immediately. Sales there took what could have been the easiest sale ever and miserably failed. My money and my trades werent deemed worthy of their effort. On top of it all they strung me along and took days to figure out they didnt want to be bothered.

I purchased a 5th wheel RV from Gander RV in Fort Pierce in February of 2021. The experience was top notch! The sales staff had a no pressure approach and answered all of our questions. The finance department did a great job in finding us the best deal. And the service department did an awesome job installing the hitch in the truck. Highly recommend them.

I had my camper in for service told them I need it back by Labor Day and they said that was fine that had it for over week . I travel for work so I have to stay in when I am working . But they did not care to even call me to let me no that it was not done after I was heading back to pick it up I called them on my way down and they said it was not done and it was not there problem this the third I have had in the shop for a 2021 camper I would not recommend this company for anything they have the worst service department I have ever seen . I would go some where else if I was to buy another one .

What a great experience we had with Gander RV. The people were great and the prices were competitive. We found exactly what we were looking for. So happy we decided to do business with them. Our sales person, Marissa, even came in on her day off to make sure everything went smoothly when we signed the papers and called us the next day to check on us.

No more hunting or fishing items in this store, dont waste your time. As far as I am concerned it was the only reason to go. I cant believe they would stop offering these items, what a waste.

Service requests on our 2021 Keystone Cougar.Sometime during the second week of March we sent the RV to Gander to service the bathroom skylight leak, the icing in the freezer and the inaccurate water levels. After three weeks we were told the RV could be picked up even though nothing had been fixed. We were told the skylight was not leaking and we would need a new refrigerator. Further, we received the RV in horrible and despicable conditions. It was completely dirty; our sewer line hose was in laying on the floor in our bedroom which leaked onto our carpeting. The shower floor was filthy, and every refrigerator shelf was full of mold (we have photos). When we addressed this with service advisor, she explained the tech had left early and she hadn’t inspected the RV.Shortly after this we received a recall notification from Keystone with respect to leaky skylights in several of their RV, specifically our model. We returned the RV to Gander to address the same skylight issue, along with the inaccurate water level gauge. The recall notice was provided to the service department.A summary of emails between myself and three members of their management team will show that although we dropped off the RV to Gander on the 6th a work order was not assigned until July 22nd, over two weeks later. But it had not gone into the shop. Subsequently, the tech began working on the RV on July 26th and on August 2nd we were informed that the tech had been sent home for medical reasons. August 6th we were informed the tech was back and working on our RV. We were then advised on August 9th that the Keystone warranty clerk was working on authorization, and the tech was still working on other items relating to our RV. As of today, the tech has yet again, found no issue with our skylight and that he was waiting for further tech support to verify a faulty control panel.Since March we have had absolutely no progress in our service requests. We must ask how is it that we inform the service department twice of a leak in the skylight, Keystone confirms the same issue, but your tech finds no leak. The photos we provided your department clearly show a crack in the skylight. We even told the service department that we had to temporarily caulk the leak because the water from the heavy rains was leaking into the bathroom and ruining the area surrounding the sky light and producing black mold.There is no question that at this point we have received less than adequate customer service from Gander. And, even after the service dept has kept our RV for weeks at end and neglected to address the issues with the RV, we have remained patient. This, however, has gone on long enough. We have had this RV since November, which we purchased brand new in November, and have not been able to fully enjoy our purchase because of all the issues, none of which Gander has addressed or fixed and have shown a complete lack of respect for our concerns. We can honestly say we fully regret purchasing this RV from Gander.Frustration does not even begin to explain how we feel!

Theyve done away with the firearms and archery sections and fishing is almost non existent. Glad I didnt renew my Good Sams membership. Will not be returning.

Ganders i wouldn’t recommend . They lie. You purchase a trailer approved all payments and total done. you go to finalize this and they jacked the payments up $100. Never use this company.!

I recently purchased a 2020 Coleman BHS26 from Gander RV in Fort Pierce and can honestly say, were it not for my salesperson Marissa Steinik, there would have been no sale! Marissa went above and beyond and worked with me for 3 days (yes, 3 days....it was a cluster) to help me purchase what would work for my needs. She is top notch in my book and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase an RV. I also want to give 👍🏻 to Dan in finance. He did an amazing job! As for the rest of the sales and service departments, I am less than enthusiastic. They have some really nice products at Gander Fort Pierce and I would go back for Marissa, but only because of her!

Im very disappointed! The store has gone from carrying quite a few items for camping, fishing, hunting, and boating.... To a glorified RV and boat store...

Absolutely would never, ever, ever recommend them to anyone. Dont go here unless you like to be lied to, misled, broken promises, unethical people that do not stand up to their word or the warranty they use to sell you. This goes all the way up to including the GM who is Bought a BRAND NEW RV, after 4 months I took it to Gander for numerous items to be covered by warranty. Said it would be done in 1 wk. 5 months later, still not ready. Theyve had it longer than me now. Every week they tell me by end of the week itll be done. Please note, it was never about not getting parts or COVID, simply their complete ineptness and doing the right thing for customers, their word and good business. After all the interactions, sadly it seems that this is their play to keep it long enough from their customers to run out the warranty coverage period so they wont have to do anything. Well, they are good at that one thing, doing nothing to take advantage of people. Go to a different dealer not this one.
