The first time i used them they were great. This last time not so much. There was work that i had asked to be done and they said they did the work, I know I paid for the work. Later I figured out that they didnt do the work. I called them on it and they said they would make it right just bring it in and they would redo the work. (Oil change & Tire rotation) So I made an appointment. Had to cancel that appointment and then reschedule and again they said just bring it in and they would make it right. I just received a call from them saying I had to pay for services to be performed again that I had already paid for. No thank you, do yourself a favor, find another mechanic.Update--- They called and are willing to make it right. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again.

North Wells Service Center is the only place I trust for car repairs. I have been utilizing their services for over 25 years and have never been disappointed or unhappy with their service. Mitch and the entire North Wells Service team are awesome. They are friendly, courteous and explain everything very thoroughly in terms that are understandable to us non-mechanical individuals. They will even try to save you money by suggesting things you can do yourself to fix an issue before you bring it in for service. Being a single female, it is comforting knowing I can trust a service center to be honest and not take advantage of a repair situation I am not familiar with.

Was repaired a day early great service. The “Check Engine Light” was putting out O2 Sensor codes (two of the sensors) but they said sensors were fine the trucks computer needed updated was all. Honest place because they could have easily charge me for new sensors and labor because I told them earlier that I scanned the truck myself and there were O2 Sensor fault codes.

Very competent auto mechanics. Friendly helpful service. Only downside, theyre so good they cant hardly keep up. You might have to wait a bit for them to get you scheduled.

I got this bushing replaced 6 months ago. Long story short, I took my Malibu to Goodyear Auto Service, and they could not do my alignment due to a bad bushing. Well, I made Goodyear show me exactly what needed to be done. They showed me, and I needed a new bushing.I am leaving town in 2 days (Monday the 31st) and driving 1,500 miles. Mitch and his crew will not be in the office until Wednesday (the 2nd).I had two options.Wait it out and MAYBE get it done for free, but be in the hole $400 because I would be 2 days late to my destination.My other option was to do it myself and risk the warranty.Verdict.I cannot afford to lose 2 days of driving to my destination. Amazing expierience when they worked on my Buick Regal. It was dying on the way to drop the car off and with 1 day of turnaround I was back on the road after my turbo charger went out. These guys saved my car and saved me money while they did it. Will be back for all future repairs!

I had a radiator hose blow while driving in Fort Wayne on July 3rd. Picked a car repair place, based off of reviews, to have the towing company take my vehicle. However, that place and several other places were closed due to the holiday. Anyways I ended up at North Wells Service Center and they were able to get me in quickly, confirm that the radiator hose had a leak, replace the hose, flush remaining coolant, and fill it with antifreeze all in under an hour. They were priced fairly for the labor and parts.Ill likely never need a repair in Fort Wayne again, but if I do I am going to take it here first.

Were very polite. I brought in a car that I had bought and started having problems with it no more than a week after purchasing and the dealer refused to do anything. So I started looking around to get the car checked out and landed on North Wells Service Center. They were able to get my car in the next day, checked it out and called me with what they found wrong with it, and after giving the go ahead they did the repairs and were able to do everything the same day and the estimate was spot on for the final cost. Very impressed with the work done and how quickly they were able to get my car in and get it fixed.

I brought my truck in to be diagnosed. I needed a leaking oil seal fixed and I had a wobble that I wasnt sure of. After calling and being told they could get me in the same day. I brought the truck in first thing in the morning. When I dropped it off, they said that they would call me with an estimate. I hadnt heard anything back from them by 12:30 the following day. So I called them. I was told that they didnt even have a chance to get the estimate for the repairs yet and that it was their fault. They called back about an hour later. They said that the wobble was being caused by front rotors and back brakes. However, because they wanted over 400 dollars to fix that, we decided to do that ourselves. I advised them to go ahead and fix the oil seal. I assumed that since they had it for 2 days, they would have it done that day. I didnt receive a call until the following day. (Were on day 3 now.) After, picking it up and replacing the brakes and rotors that they charged me $44 to diagnose, the wobble is still there. The oil seal is leaking worse now than when I brought it in. I wont be bringing any vehicles here in the future.

Seems like a good place with honest people.We had one poor experience. I asked for an evaluation for 2 lights. I made an appointment and left my car for the day. At the end of the day, they had still not even looked at the car. This was very frustrating.From their quote, it seems they use quality parts, which mean they are about twice what we could get them online. But they were willing to install our purchased parts (without warranty) which we appreciated.

We found out about NWSC via a friend and are thankful. When we got new cars and they ended up being Priuses, our former mechanic was out of their element and, for a while, we were stuck with paying dealership mechanics and their $150 just to drive in their shop fees. From our first scheduled routine maintenance trips to NWSC, we knew we were in good hands, getting a print up of what items were taken care of as well as a prioritized list of things which would eventually need to be taken care of. Now I make sure to recommend NWSC if anyone needs vehicular work.

Well I took my car to Midas because they were closed on Saturday and the brakes were acting weird it was the brake booster Midas told me I needed new brake pads and rotors as well it would be 963.23 to fix it so Monday I brought my car here and they are so honest the front brakes were 70% left and the rotors were new WOW I understand why customers can’t trust auto shops but here at north wells service they were honest it only cost me 415.32 unbelievable Midas would try a trick like that

Needed to have my particulate filter cleaned. Paid 200 dollars to have my service lights turned off and they told me that they were working on my car when I saw it sitting in the same parking spot for hours and they insulted me because of the car I drive. At the end of it they said the filter was too dirty to clean and to either buy a new car or wait until it gets worse and pay them $3500. Never coming here again

Got a quote for a 01 Escort. All I need is a tune-up, but insisted on $28.29 diagnostic too. Ill accept that, but had to push to get estimate before taking it in. $199.27 includes $50 labor, but not diagnostic?? So its $227.56 for a tune-up on a 4 cylinder? AutoZone has parts for around $50. This garage must use gold plated parts. RIP OFFS!!!

The service performed by North Wells was first rate and timely. I asked that besides the Road-Ready service, they check out why the ABS light was on. When I picked up the car, I was told why the light was on and what needed to be done to correct the problem. I liked that they were honest with me and did not try to force a repair that was not mandatory. I trust North Wells with all my automotive repair needs.

I brought my diesel truck in for a transmission oil change; they ended up changing the engine oil, and doing a flush on my Allison... yes they flushed an Allison (FYI anyone who knows anything about Allisons will tell you thats one of the worst things you can do to it). A few months later Im towing my sisters stuff for a move to Texas in a 24 car hauler, and my transmission throws P0741, overheats, with the torque converter clutch all but disintegrating in Texarkana (the guy who replaced it removed chunks from the lines).So here I am after thousands spent for a dealer new Allison 1000 telling everyone: do not bring your Duramax to this shop. They also charged me for the oil change I didnt request, after being told I wouldnt be charged for it... pretty sure they flush transmissions to charge for more labor than a drain & fill; all to save me $15 for a spin-on filter...

I needed to have my brakes done and had these folks replace them for me. Excellent service and very timely in getting things done. Very professional...Only thing I wish is that they had an easier place to get in and out of but the quality of service and expertise make up for that.

We took our cars to North Wells for about 5 years. We felt like they were honest and helpful...until this last situation. It still makes me upset and disappointed.My van has been making a loud squealing sound for a while now, so we took it in to check it out. They told us we needed to replace the alternator. We jumped the gun and had them replace it. It was over $500. Afterwards we realized we shouldve asked around. The sound did not go away and we were told by others that it couldve been any of 3-5 different problems and they shouldnt have gone straight to the most expensive possible solution.They then tried to replace a belt but it didnt take care of the squealing, so then they were going to do something else that wouldve cost over a couple hundred dollars. At this point we felt like they were just fishing around and really had no idea what was wrong.At this point I went in to request that they refund some of the cost for the alternator since it obviously wasnt a problem. This is when it gets ridiculous.The man I spoke to proceeded to tell me that the alternator did fix the sound but now there was a new sound. I explained to him it was my vehicle that I drove and the sound was no different but he insisted it was a different sound, it just sounds the same. 😠He then wanted us to spend more money to fix another possible solution for this new sound. Suffice it to say we will never go back.They have lost our business and any possible referrals we would have given them.

Like that they test first and repair only what needs to be replaced. Notified me first on what they were going to do since is was more than my approved amount.Mitch has a new customer. I will be back for further needs. Thanks Mitch and crew for a job well done.

Busted a balljoint passing though FT Wayne. It was froze in place so i couldnt fix it in a parking lot. I called them and they charged me a decent price to do all 4, had the truck done ahead of time. Im an ASE certified mechanic myself and can easily tell when someone is trying to rip you off. These guys are not at all like that. Honest and their mechanics know what they are doing. Id go here again if it wasnt 500 miles from my house.

I was driving along about 3 weeks ago in pouring sheets of rain. My vehicle (2001 Hyundai Sonata GLS) suddenly started sputtering and lurched forward. Check engine light came on, extreme loss of power. Pulled to the side, couldnt find anything wrong. Was going to be 3 hours until I could get a tow, so I said forget it and drove it 7 miles home. Had it towed to Michael Tire in Columbia City, where they took two whole days to tell me there wasnt anything wrong with it. Charged me 98$ to diagnose Nothing wrong. Got into my vehicle, and the check engine light is still on. Went back inside, waited another 5 minutes, and pushed the issue. According to them THAT go around the code was for a random misfire and should have been cleared. My car was fine to drive.When I pushed a little harder (i.e. got loud in front of other customers) it was revealed that my car was too old, and foreign to be able to test any further. It was suggested I take it to a dealer. Ive been driving it around since then, and since its fine to drive have noticed I have loss of power and lost approximately 8mpg fuel economy (120 mile loss per tank). ___________________________________________________________________________________Frustrated, I began searching for a reputable service shop, and found this one via google. With 13 (at the time of this post) 5 star google reviews, I figured it was well worth a shot.North Wells Service Center received the above information via their online contact form around 9pm one night, and responded by 8am the very next day, assuring me that my car was neither too told nor too foreign. Kind and friendly staff, willing to listen, laugh, and honestly let me blow off a little steam.I scheduled an appt for a diagnostic this morning, and they offered me free shuttle service back to my home ( across Fort Wayne). Within 2 hours THEY had called ME with a quote that was + $250 less than what Michael Tire had quoted me. That quote also included the parts and labor not only to fix my engine issue, but to get my windshield washer mechanism working, and fix the headlight Ive been putting off. Every person I have talked to has been knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to explain each repair and the costs / labor associated with it. I felt comfortable at the end of the conversation, knowing that my problem is finally going to be solved, at a fair price.I am thankful to have found my way to North Wells Service Center and hope to be a loyal customer for many years to come!
