I love Von Maur. Usually, I have an excellent experience in their stores. This location has a rather immature group of people. At this location we have an issue with one salesperson that stares at us, talks about us, and at times hasn’t been receptive or friendly.This has been going on over time, but as time went on things got a little more out of hand, not only with the offending salesperson but other disengaged salespeople overall standing around and talking. After an incident where it culminated in all the salespeople including the one previously mentioned standing around together talking to each other and then turning their heads around staring at us, I decided to send an email to the corporate office. It was immediately passed down to the store. Spoke with the store manager. The discussion was professional. So, I felt it was dealt with.After our next visit, the other salespeople’s attitudes had improved. However, the ring leader passed my husband and I and greeted my husband instead of saying hello to us collectively. Clearly, the lesson hadn’t sunk in.I contacted corporate again, who immediately passed it back down to the store. The store manager contacted me again.I decided there was nothing else to say. I told both the corporate office and the store manager that I would not be shopping at that location in the future because I felt uncomfortable. The corporate office’s resolve was to send an email whose sole purpose was to acknowledge they received my email. They didn’t take the issue seriously nor wanted to deal with it.I learned of the problem salesperson’s last name through a chance meeting with his father. I did some research and found a Facebook profile. Effeminate and tons of pictures with a poodle-like dog and his mom, but tons of positive postings about Trump and religion. Very clearly a confused individual; displaced aggression from a self-loathing person.I have to say though that the cavalier attitude from a person that works in a clothing store is rather amusing.

Looking for a dress for my done wedding. There was almost nothing on the racks over a size 12. I wear a 14. Also there was no one to help me.

This store is a Cut above the rest!!!! Its a bit pricey but, you get good quality merchandise, Always!! Really enjoy shopping there.

This was the first time shopping here.(wife Christmas presents) Very nice and clean atmosphere to shop in. Friendly staff and live pianist playing Christmas music. Made spending money a lot more delightful! Also had free gift wrapping available if you wish to utilize the service. Overall good experience!

This is a very nice department store. Higher prices but you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a player piano on the main floor that they hire a pianist to play throughout the day.

I went into this store for the first time and opened up an account this morning. My shopping experience was less than satisfying. Not one sales person to check my purchases out. The customer service representative, Denise, didn’t care. She simply told me they didn’t have enough employees. I only moved here 2 months ago and was told this was best department store in this town. Wrong. It’s tired. It’s dated & there is no customer service. Would never recommend shopping here. Go next door to DeBrand for chocolate or Trader Joe’s for customer service This Van Maur is lacking in everything, merchandise as well as customer service.

Von Maur is a great place to shop. I was looking for some jewelry. A very nice woman named Beth waited on me. I was impressed at how very friendly and professional she was. She made suggestions that were appropriate that I had never considered. Beth made my shopping experience delightful. I actually had fun Shopping in the jewelry department. I will definitely return, and I will definitely look for Beth.

Von Maur is amazing! They carry only the best goods in an open-concept store. Customer service could not be better. While most department stores seem to be cutting back on quality and service to please stock holders, Von Maur is raising the bar rather than lowering it. I wonder if they are privately owned? The Von Maur credit card carries NO INTEREST!I was shopping for a gift and was shocked that the sales associate in cosmetics was a biochemist and took the time to explain to me what the different ingredients actually do at a cellular level. I call that Above and beyond corporate caring.

It was alright. I didnt find/buy a thing..looking for dress shoes. The inventory was rather low as most stores are right now.

We love shopping here and spending money at Von Maur, but this is the first store since all of this Covid nonsense began to actually confront us and ask us to leave the store because we didnt have face diapers on, despite kids running all over touching things and picking their noses, who are far less sanitary than two adults shopping. We saw other adults in the store not wearing masks, and countless others not wearing them properly but we got singled out... We wont be back until these liberally managed stores stop mindlessly pushing the mask agenda.

I love this place! I was looking for last minute birthday gifts for 2 granddaughters and had a vast selection to choose from. The dresses were amazing (close to Easter). I got beautiful gift wrap to go since I had to box it up together and expedite it out (which they also had an option for but I decided to take care of it myself). I recommend this place all the time.

I purchased a pair of shoes. I got to my car to check my receipt and my shoe box said 7 . I wear a size 10. I had two different sizes in the box. Thank goodness I looked. I live 2 hours away. I wouldnt have been happy had I found out when I returned home. Overall I LOVE Von Maur ❣️

Management is very rude and they do not care about their employees, they treat them very rude and make them feel like nothing. They do not know anything about being professional or having respect for anyone. They will say how they feel no matter the situation and not care how it is said. They do not deal with things the proper way nor do they have respect for anyone in the store. They all act is if their better than the next and they sit and gossip about everybody who works there, and then will turn around and smile in their face like nothing is wrong. Very pathetic people.

Wonderful product selection, unadvertised sales every week, a covered car entryway allowing passenger drop off at the door in inclimate weather, no interest credit card, helpful salespeople, and (in Fort Wayne) THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, CLEANEST RESTROOM YOU WILL EVER USE! Von Maur in Fort Wayne is THE BOMB. I am not exaggerating.

Very high prices for stuff you can get far below their premium prices. The employees were helpful, but liked to bs about whatever with customers around. The place is for people with lots of cash who dont mind to spend more than they have to. Not that you didnt know.

Every time I return to Ft Wayne, Von Maur is always a must visit destination. It is one of my favorite stores. Classy. Beautiful merchandise. First rate personnel. It is pampering to spend time there. They do alterations on premises if needed. Plus they ship all my merchandise to me free of charge.

Since moving to ft wayne, this is my absolute favorite store to shop for myself and the family. The selection is quite good but the staff make it an excellent experience. My only suggestion would to be add more higher end designer names. Other than that they are doing department store shopping right.

I Often order online because with free shipping, free gift wrap and zero interest credit card its crazy not too! So I ordered an item, upon receiving I noticed that it had been marked down $20, then a new sticker of regular price put on top. I called them wanting the mark down price because they dont mark items back up. I had emailed customer service and included of picture of the price, I didnt hear back in a couple days so I called. The customer service person I spoke with (I think Diane?) said that that item had never been marked down and she couldnt find my email, so I said that was fine, Ill just take it to the Fort Wayne store and show them. About an hour later she called me back, she said she couldnt imagine that I would be making that up and searched further for my email, she found it, saw the picture, she doesnt understand how it happened, but credited my Von Maur card the $20 + tax. So pleased with Von Maur that I ordered 3 mored items that day including 2 gifts. Von Maur makes for the BEST gift giving, especially with the free beautiful gift wrap!! My favorite store!!

Its a great store depending on what you are looking for. Im a fragrance nut and i found the selection there to be so-so. They had some heavy hitters but overall i was not impressed with the selection they had. Same goes for mens apparel. I feel like there was not a very wide selection of clothing for younger men. And what was there was more business oriented and not very much of the high end...more urban style lines the high end brands offer. So depending on what you are looking for it might be great. For me...its was ok.

Overpriced for no apparent reason I must be missing something

Its pretty disappointing that your sales associates dont know the product youre selling. I bought a BOSCA 1911 Bifold wallet with card / I.D. Flap, Color 58 Dark Brown. The sales associate claimed that the wallet had RFID Blocking capabilities. If you go to BOSCAs website, this wallet doesnt have those capabilities. Please see attached photos. Its a nice wallet, but I was sold on what the sales associate stated, which was a false statement.
