NEAT NEAT NEAT is great, great, great! This record store is definitely better than most. Not only do they carry a ton of new records whereas many places offer a majority of used records but they also have a great selection across many genres. It seems like a lot of record shops get boxed into catering to a narrow music taste but I was pleased with the selection here. I really love the variety of indie/alternative in particular. I found exactly what I was looking for and I’m glad because I would much rather buy from a local, independent shop than buy from a big online store. They offer fair prices as well. If you’re a music fan, you should play this place a visit.

Easy to miss when looking for it. Solid selection of vinyls and organized well. Not sure how often their inventory changes, so might not be a place one finds themself every week.

Shop local for vinyl and come here first. If they dont have it they can usually let you know if the other stores in town have it

Pretty nice record store. Employee there kept to himself and just let us browse the selection. They had a healthy amount of $1 records to look through, but the priced vinyl was spotty. There were a lot of choices for some artists and nothing but a labeled divider with no records for others. When checking out, the employee was perfectly friendly. Found some records I have trouble finding other places. I would definitely stop by if I was in the area again.

The absolute best of both worlds. This is a serious record store without any pretentiousness. I identified myself as a newcomer to the vinyl game and they were super cool and helpful. I bought a lot of records and I was very impressed with the accuracy of the used condition rating system. I will gladly return.

Awesome Store! The owner knows music better than anyone in town. Hes in the music business and if there is something you cant find, Morrison will get it for you. Great equipment, good prices and outstanding customer service. Definitely a destination record store! Worth the trip!

This place is great. Comparatively the best shop in Indiana in terms of service, price and selection. The owner Morrison is very knowledgeable and will even write small descriptions on the price sticker of the music to help the buyer make a smart purchase. There is a good selection of all music. The new and old school punk collection is especially impressive. Also if youre interested they even have reward cards from purchasing records.

If you are looking for vinyl this is one of the big caches, the staff is very knowledgeable on what they have. If your looking for an original pressing of an album they can help you sort out what are bootlegs or the real thing. They also carry a selection of vintage stereo equipment to add to your collection

Such a cool record store. They have a coffee bar, cafe and kids play area. Its easy to bring the kids when I feel the need to pick up a few new records.

Had a blast on my first visit. Drank a beer, bought a turntable and some records. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and knew his stuff. Cant wait to go back.

They are so nice and were more than happy to help when the other two places in town I sadly tried first were rude, snobby, dismissive and flat out refused to help. Forget Classic City & Wooden Nickel, this place is great and the guy who helped me was knowledgeable and very nice, will definitely be back for all our turntable and record needs

Interesting place. Seemed pretty hands-off help-wise and rather pricey.

Some of the other reviews declare this store the best in all of Indiana, thats a bold statement. . . Im not sure how far south they have traveled. It is alright in terms of selection, one of the better selections in town, and I believe they are more than willing to obtain anything for you that they can. The service is what I would call typical in terms of record stores, but maybe I just dress too normal to be treated like a serious music enthusiast. Now as far as prices go, I would say average to high, but definitely not low. Maybe wait til your next trip to Bloomington if you want to save money on vinyl.

Neat place slightly unorganized with the CD rack . Vynle selection is sort of small but in order. Wooden nickels are a little better in my book. But overall a cool place

This is the best record store in Indiana, as far as I am concerned. Their selection is great, staff is awesome and knowledgeable, and the value I have gotten on selling old equipment and records is incredibly fair.
