Nice clean store. Plenty of fresh produce to choose from. Other than the self checkout lines only two lanes were open, and they were backed four shoppers deep.

They are good. Shelves are getting bare due to this pandemic but other then that the store is clean and they people that work there are nice

The people in the deli at the Fortuna Safeway are very kind and understanding. My brother and I were running late and even though they were closing up they still took the time to sell us the last of their bao. They were polite and never made us feel like we were putting them out.

I have cancer and have been using cane a lot I had dropped it on the floor while looking for some flowers and a nice gentleman came by him by and pick it up for me. Very thoughtful

The staff was short handed and an employee noticed I had bottles in my hand while waiting in line. The employee silently opened a lane just for me and said, I know you couldnt go through self-checkout so Ill take care of you!. Great job Safeway!

What can I say its safeway always stocked with variety and helpful employees to help you find what you need

I only went in for fruit. Left with 50$ worth of food. Including Ice Cream. Yummy! recommend

This store was huge and well stocked. Prices were fair also.

Always crowded. Good deli, tho the service is a little slow.They have a great selection.

We left over two years ago and the store wasnt like it is now. Unfortunately someone isnt pricing the products correctly. So on a average of the 25 to 30 items my friend found 3 products totally miss named and totally miss priced that was about 25. Dollars mistakes that she was overed charged against her. But now that safeway is so packed with customers that my friend wouldnt go in and have them fix it so she took the loss. It was never that way 2 years ago.

Usually busy busy during the day. So night is preferred but i usually can get the same product cheaper at winco. But if i want a fancy steak or cut of meat or a custom cake i go here.

A place with great food, but priced too expensive. As well as there being some great workers, and some with mood and rude gestures. Okay place to shop for expensive food, and I saw no one helping me at self checkout when I needed help, and they looked at me and didn’t help.

Safeway gets 5 stars because... its a grocery store. Clean, well stocked, etc. But I do have a gripe with all multiple cashier stores. Banks have had one line and multiple tellers forever. Frys Electronics also. I remember my mom shopping at long-defunct club store called Gemco. Youd put your cart in line, take a number, and sit down. When they were done checking and bagging theyd call your number so you could pay. Then they would meet you in the parking lot with your cart. When I suggest a single line, managers and employees look at me as if Im crazy. I may very well be, but its still a good idea. Post a few signs, add some arrows to the floor to go with all the social distance markings... I dont understand why grocery stores cant grasp this simple concept!

This store have great business for costumer.I order bday cakes for my Oldest and middle daughters but bakery make mistake twice last month and this month. I talked with store manager Rick and he gave me full refund from last month (even though I didnt ask for it) and this month plus $20 give card. Great costumer service over all.*Bakery need improve and pay attentions regarding what costumers order to provent costumers complaint before they make cake*Note : Trees leaches cake was super delicious 😍

The shelves are always bare. Oftentimes milk is not available. Paper towels, toilet paper and such isle rarely has many items.

Safeway the dollar store Rite Aid and the laundromat in particular are very clean in appearance. The cashiers and people that stocks the shelves are very helpful. Plus the security guard for the parking lots does an excellent job of taking care of any problems and being respectful to the people that come there to shop. You know I give them five stars. Good job guys.

Great store for all you groceries needs

My daughters first birthday was yesterday and we ordered 5 giant trays of food from the deli. Two fruit trays, a veggie tray, a slider sandwich tray and a sandwich roll tray. Honestly, I was a little nervous about it.However, when we got there to pick them up they were ready on time, they were GORGEOUS, they were in beautiful packaging and the staff helped load them up quickly. Once at the party we opened them and even after transport and sitting in a car for an hour they looked beautiful and everything tasted great.All fresh, beautiful food was used and I could not be more pleased with this experience. I wish I had taken pictures of the trays. I will have no issues recommending and using Safeway for parties in the future. Im glad we over estimated and had leftovers. We get to enjoy this yummy food today now too!

Safeway is a very good grocery store and deli with bakery 😊. Theyre not cheap but they provide great service and great sales in meat Dept. Also, they carry some items I cant find elsewhere. Spotty sales but always helpful.

The cream cheese wasnt with the other cheese. That was annoying. Other than that they had many of every type of product to choose from. They also had delicious produce and very helpful staff.

Reasonable price. Very clean.They now have curbside pick up. I have been driving into Fortuna at 6am so that I could get my grocery shopping done before there were other people in Safeway. Now that they have online shopping and curbside pickup I can do all my shopping online, set up a delivery time and never go into the store. The personal shoppers are absolutely awesome. They do a better job of selecting meat and produce than I could. The delivery is so easy. I pull into a marked space call the number on the sign and a couple of minutes later my trunk is loaded with my shopping and I am on the way home.

Quality whole foods. Just dont purchase your can goods here. Way to expensive. Excellent wines and deals on them. Some brands of bottled wine you pay for one at regular price and get the second bottle for a penny! Must be the same wine. Excellent excellent deal. Enjoy

They are a bit pricey. To find the best discounts on items you need, you have to go online first or pick up flyers from different stores. If money is of no issue, then I recommend the variety of choices, the cleanliness, and always helpful customer service of Safeway.

Grocery store

An awfully slow deli took 30 min to get a couple of sandwiches together. She never changed her gloves coming back from the meat slicer. Had to ask assist manager to get her help. Only 2 people working the counter and 8 people in line. I dont mind paying the prices if I get timely service.

You can get free entertainment at 10:00pm at Safeway by watching all the thieves go in and steal and the local police Will not do anything about it and the employees advise me that they cannot do anything about it, this is so sad

We live in the mountains. This is our nearest larger Grocery store. We have lots of friends there, lived here for 12 years. Great place to shop, bakery, deli, meats, everything you need. Polite staff, always ready to help. Will recommend and Ill be back. :-)
