This is place has lots of variety and good selection of foods. My only feedback is I wish they have vegan option in their deli.After the renovation, the layout has been really good. Staff here is very good and helpful. Some are friendly. There are days that are busier than others. But overall good.

Went to cook at my co-workers place I’m just here in San Francisco for work no stove this Safeway was huge and had everything I needed and some things I wanted and didn’t need! Late night cook fest #FoodPrepParty

Neat, safe, quick and reliable. I love the Sandwich and hot food department. The staff there are very personable and take their time and dont try to rush you. I love them in my neighborhood, thank you!

Spoiled chicken.We moved to Foster City last month and this Safeway has sold us spoiled chicken from the meat counter 3 times already. We’re going to switch to the Trader Joe’s in San Mateo.

Safeway is one of my favorite grocery store brands. This one was clean and had more variety as I like to shop the Asian food aisle and I found the drink of black coffee in the can that I was looking for.

It has everything that you need and service is excellent and staff are very friendly.Stores are always clean no matter which store you shop at.

Get all your groceries in one place. Right here at Safeway, very clean and customer friendly.

It is a typical market with a food deli. It is a chain so every once in awhile they move everthing around which always drives me crazy.

Expensive. OverpricedBulk sandwich roll .97So the roll tastes stale, I look at the date, today is 4/13, date marked on roll package 4/15!They are not selling fresh bread or rolls at all.Honest businesses put day old bread on clearance.They sell old product as fresh.Absolutely AWFUL

I’ve shopped here for 25 years - worst customer service in the Deli under staffed and not helpful - I always end up waiting for help, even without a line .I shop here for the convenience and the self service .The Deli manager is very nice and helpful but someone needs to notify him .Thank you

I like this grocery store. Just wish it was a little cheaper

Not a good experience today. Most stockers were not wearing their masks properly, one had mask all the way down around his neck, and audibly coughed a dozen times. I got the heck out of that aisle quick.

Very convenient, clean and safe. Staffs are great and friendly. I have no problems coming again here to buy some stuff I need.

I really like this Safeway. Yes, the parking is difficult. Its always crowded. Now in the era of COVID-19, the lines are longer. But I appreciate that they are taking precautions to ensure our safety. Also they have a gorgeous floral department. And their produce is top notch. My kids are crazy about their fried chicken! The reason its always crowded is because its a great supermarket!

The store is open until 2am but the registers close at 1am. If you arrive after 1am, the self service registers are closed and there are no staff at the front.

The worst cashier you can see in this place. I started with my order by saying I have two different orders, I specified the first one ends with the cereal. and continue to put the products of the second order after. but obviously I did not care. and when I finished putting the products of my second order she started to scan the products of my second order in my first order. I told him I mentioned that the first order ended with the cereal. to which she answers me you should have separated them, I told her that is why I let you know in advance She kept denying, and goes to the manager to make the return of the things that did not have to be in my first order and complaining, she tells the manager. see what time you send me to my break.to in case you come to this place, I hope this cashier wont attend you. the name of this cashier is KATHLEEN

The amount of Fridge space for milk and juice products is limited, which can make it a challenge to find items.1/25/21 at 740pm this Safeway was out of whole milk and the big half & half caton. I asked the guy in the meat department if he could call someone to assist me and the other customers who were looking for other products and he refered me to Customer Service. I told the Cashier and she said they could not do anything until the graveyard shift stocks the fridge area. This Safeway is close to my house but the poor customer service will either makes me go to Costco, Smart & Final, Lucly or the Safeway in El Camino.

There was a long wait time for check out. The store is well stocked! Produce looks great! Some people not wearing masks properly. Some were stocking shelves, some customers.

The parking lot is frequently difficult to navigate due to number of cars and pedestrians.

I hate safeway it way too expensive they jack up there prices to make u think ur getting a good deal ur not the best deal is somewhere else

Not a bad place. They are well stock. Try not avoid the rush hour which is 5pm

Covid unsafe. Last two visits, same problem. Lines for check out are hap hazard, unmanaged, unmarked, not controlled by store controlled by customers any old way causing friction and confusion.

The freezer, deli and produce were beautifully stocked. A noticable improvement. However Im disabled and there were no leaves open that would fit my motorized cart. Points for offering a cart, but they need to have checkout access.

Easy and convenient. Never too busy. Super helpful employee (sorry didnt catch his name) helped me find some gluten free foods.

Honestly Safeway is one the most busiest grocery stores, and yet they always seem to only have 2 registers open. On top of that, its hard to get help on the floor, you have to search high and lowFor someone to help you find something.

Great Chinese takeout in Redwood City

Not a bad store, but could be better. Fruits and especially avocados are overpriced considering their low quality. Cashiers are not friendly at all. But overall is not a bad store with a good selection of different food!

Pretty solid Safeway in a convenient location. Large enough to have good selection, produce always seems fresh. Deli service can be slow, and checkout lines can be long when its busy even with most open. Parking lot can also be frustrating with the layout, but that affects everything in the shopping center.

Great local place to go shopping, parking is plentiful but be aware this Safeway is surrounded by business and homes and it does tend to get busy during a certain times of the day, mainly lunch rush and between 5-7pm. Best times are to go early morning or later evening depending on what you need to buy.

I would like to to say this is the best place where you can get fresh vegetable for daily consume.

I like this Safeway, its a good store and the team members are very nice and helpful.

It was packed on MLK and there were not enough lanes open. Luckily an extra lane open after I had been waiting a while. This Safeway does stock a lot of items others do not such as vegan options.

Selection is small, but had everything I needed. The service desk had no service. Waited in line with 3 others for a while but no staff ever came to help.

I like this particular Safeway. The produce seems fresher than other stores. The only reason why I took off a star is because some of the checkout clerks are ridiculously slow.

Really nice store, fully stocked, distance shopping.

Expensive. Walmart / WinCo are better and lower cost options.

Limited selection compared to other locations. Also, some items we paid for didnt make it home leading to either a second trip to claim items or lost money. Our bagger was distracted and missed bagging items. Apparently I didnt catch them all. Pretty irritated.

Good place for buying any type of food and drinks. Prices are OK. The selection is very big. The quality is very good. There is plenty of parking.

Well today I was in there shop kicking which is a program where you can various products or walk into a store for kicks and will receive a gift card after you get enough kicks. So I was in the wine section and I got the manager called on me not once but twice hes very pleasant but I just felt it was racist. They felt the need to keep calling people to come see what I was doing in the wine aisle when I could have bought any one of those wines but its fine

My go to store before I head off to a ballgame across the bay. A good selections of drinks to choose, in and out and on the bridge in a few minutes, traffic permitted.

They have a nice produce section.

Great location. During day time hrs, it also has a lot of additional stores, like sandwitches, bakery, Starbucks etc. Makes it very convenient.

Great meat department

Here at Safeway you can expect to find a bunch of dented cans that should be pulled, in front of a can that is not damaged. The checkers dont listen to you, or cant. I dont think there is a single person here with an IQ over 85. The baggers are even worse. I would like to think they employ the mentally handicap out of the goodness of their hearts. But, since corporations do not have hearts. I think it has more to do with being able to pay them less. Yes, less. It is legal for them to do this through various programs. I could be wrong, maybe they get a comparable wage. Highly doubt it.

This is one good supermarket, nice fresh greens, good seafood, fresh bakery and a nice wine variety.
