IF YOU GOT TIME TO BE ON A TOILET ALL DAY THEN GEY THERE BAKED GOODS. I got a cake here and the next day I had severe cramps, vomiting and the runs. The icing was also really old. The baked goods were either over done or way underdone. Ive been going to jewel and as a baker and chef, they dont know how to do either.

The sushi man here is so friendly! Today he asked what I wanted and he already knew there wasn’t any in the pick up cooler, so he stopped what he was doing and made it. So good and so friendly!

Not as great as usual. Kind of messy on this visit - not really dirty but not quite clean and up to its usual standards.

Well-stocked Jewel Osco, convenient location adjacent to the Chain o Lakes and all of the recreation opportunities in the area. Staff here is friendly, store is clean with great selection, plenty of self-checkout, easy parking lot.

Cashiers are rude! The baggers are rude and don’t care about how they pack! The store doesn’t have a wide selection.The cart retrievers get much too close to auto’s that are parked when pushing multiple shopping carts! Not a Jewel or a grocery store that I would recommend.

Great experience. I have not been in a Jewel for years, I shop consistently at the local competitors. I went in specifically for Irish soda bread, unfortunately you were out😔but I continued shopping and enjoyed my experience. The baker said they sold out at 2:30 that day, and typically do sell out. Please make more for your after work shoppers!!

My Five Stars is strictly for Barb at the Seafood/ Meat counter. She used to work Friday’s but I haven’t seen her in a couple months and was disappointed. To my surprise I saw her today! (Apparently her hours got cut) which is a total shame in my opinion. She is personable and remembers who you are. Nothing makes it better than when you walk up to the butcher and she already knows what you want. We small talk like neighbors and she really is the only reason I keep coming back. Her and Kathy at the deli! It’s most definitely not for the lack of baggers...

Aisles were blocked with carts that employees were filling with shopper pick up orders. Cashier had an attitude of not wanting to be there working.Disappointing.

They changed fhe meat at the deli to a more pricey brand. Not happy. No one at meat counter and no way to get them for service. An employee that was picking orders had to go get someone.

Great store, great staff. Dante helps me with recommendations and questions in the alcohol section; knowledgeable and funny too. Floral folk very helpful too and the cashiers work very hard. My favorite Jewel for sure.

Visited at 1pm, busier than ever. Out if many items. Totally unprepared for the holiday rush. Told they were understaffed. Sky high prices. So whats new???

Everyone at this Jewel is very helpful and nice. Loved that they gave out free musk melons this weekend. They have a good just for you program,which has great deals. One of the butchers ( Baldi) is extremely helpful and very friendly. I love going to this store. It is kept very clean,as well.

So I was at the Jewel in Fox Lake on Friday (5/22/20) after work. It was around 5pm and I was already tired. Anyway, I was buying some things in preparation for a small family gathering for Sunday for my son who graduated from UOI. I got all my shopping done and went to the last place I needed to stop at, the BAKERY. I selected a nice cake and then immediately noticed a lady working behind the counter. I said hello and simply asked if she did any decorating or writing on cakes. She responded with a very kind smile and a yes and walked over to me. Her name is Fay A. and she is an amazing employee. She got all the information she needed from me and proceeded to write what I requested on the cake. I also asked her if she had any decorative graduation hats for the cake. Again, she simply smiled and went and looked. She came back with one and taped it to the cake that she had already packaged up for me. Her demeanor was so positive and kind and it simply made me appreciative of the attention she gave me. So to Fays bosses and Management please go to Fay A. and let her know what I shared with you and also please give her a pat on the back with some positive recognition.

The staff is always so friendly and helpful when Im trying to find an item. Their pharmacy is absolutely amazing and really what makes the store stand out from the rest.

Prices are so high. I go to meijer for most of shopping cause everything product is about a dollar less than here. . I get a few things here I cant get at meijer. Plus Saturday is the big shop day . They have 6 registers open and 2 baggers...just adding that there trying to be like meijer now and have checked bag. Its NOT working. The checker is looking at me to bag. Hey Im paying your high prices at least you can do is bag

100% better than walmart, larger assortment of groceries, better more helpful staff, at the end of the day Id rate this store above average

Its pretty good, but tends to run out of popular products and understaffed checkout lines at times. Luckily they did bring back self-checkout.

Lack of mask wearers was disappointing and those that were wearing them most of them were under the nose. Ill visit another jewel from now on.

Has a good lay out and easy to find what you need. Deli and bakery are good to. Only problem I ever have is when checking out there isnt a bagger when there is supposed to be and you pay for in the price of food.

The first time for me At that Store I like that Come easy to get to know beater and I like this place,

First online pickup order last month (March) during shelter in place went good. No substitutions made by Jewel - Fox Lake.Today (April 25) was a different story. Over a dozen items substituted, but many items that were requested Jewel did not substitute and now have to go back to shop in store or purchase elsewhere. Items not substituted:Ground Coffee?Deli Oven Roasted Turkey?Pop Tarts?Granola cereal?Jewel should be like Walmart and replace with larger item if smaller size not available and charge the difference, just saying. Also the out of stock items were not listed on the print out they give you. Very disappointing :(

I went to the Osco Pharmacy to get my Adderall, and they said they didnt know my insurance only covered Brand name not generic. However they knew that from before. They told me my brand name would be ready in 30 minutes and then said my insurance wouldnt cover it at all. So I called my insurance and they called the pharmacy and wouldnt you know it, the pharmacy NEVER MADE IT!! THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME OUT OF $60 fof generic or even more because brand name Adderall is $200!! Disgusting and the lady helping me was rude!! NEVER GO HERE FOR MEDICINE!! Thank God my insurance came through and exposed these liars and crooks! Ill be taking my business else where and this review will be posted on all review sites to warn people so they can save money during these hard times!! 🤬

Great parking near Menards. Very polite and friendly staff to help you find items you are looking for. Fresh vegetables, meat and fresh fish. A great deli and quick check out staff.

Jewel delivery sucks!!! They show up late... and then without telling me in advance.... due to covid 19 youre delivery will be left on doorstep..... no doorbell or knock at the door... groceries sitting in the warm rain for hours..... their delivery sucks!

Please educate your employees on how to properly wear masks. Half of them have their masks hanging below their chin or their nose fully exposed. The guy stocking water had his entire face exposed. gee thanks. Theres also rebellious customers who refuse to wear masks every single time I shop there (weekly). Get with the program.

Needed to use the restroom... Transgender bathroom and it was filthy...no running water in the sink..you can tell young boys or sloppy men use the restroom because of the pee all over....I will shop elsewhere...if the restrooms were that disgusting...I would hate to see what the food preparation is like.

It is a fine jewel osco. Nothing really special about it, not super upgraded. It was well stocked.

The allergy friendly items are minimal. Grayslake Jewel has a much better selection especially for gluten and dairy free. I have to travel 20 minutes to grayslake instead of going 5 minutes to fox lake store in order to get the items we need.

Store is clean and well kept. The prices can be beat virtually anywhere, and the customer service is poor at best. Its the store closest to my house is really the only reason I shop here.

The only place I know that carries Impossible Burger meat and it was on sale this week. They also have a new charger for electric vehicles.

I love the RLB and Fox Lake Jewels because they dont get crazy busy like the super stores, especially later at night when I like to shop, so its a more relaxing shopping experience. I can spend hours in this store just looking at the variety of things they have. They have a small but interesting organic section too. This store can get busy, but not mobbed like the big box stores. My only complaint about this store is it needs to add a few more bathrooms, especially for the ladies.

While the employees are friendly and helpful, the prices are on the high side, even for their store brand items. If this were a little independent, mom and pop outfit, I could understand and Id be okay w it. But this is a multi-million dollar operation. And as a multi-million dollar company, would it really break the bank to upgrade the toilet paper in the restroom? They have the worst, cheapest tp in there. Ugh.

The entrance was blocked with carts so it was difficult to enter. There were more people stocking shelves and not enough checking people out. The checker yelled at me to go to self check. Self check? If I wanted self check, I would have gone to Walmart. With Woodmans in town now, I expected Jewel to step up their game. At self check, I pressed a button for help. With two workers right there, one of them doing not, I had to ask for help. The only thing Jewel now has going for it is the Pharmacy. Bye bye Jewel after six years we are breaking up.
