Highly recommended. I purchased a 2001 S60 w/ 57K mi. at Dalzell Brothers in 2007, paying about 1/3 the original list price. It is still going strong 8 years later, w/ 190K+ mi. The Owner (John) and service manager (Rob) have always been exceedingly pleasant, fair and ethical to deal with. Repairs have been reasonably priced, and always diagnosed and done right.

This is the kind of repair shop you dream of. Honest & fair. They will tell you something needs to be done and if it can wait.They will tell you something is cosmetic and if you can deal with it looking like that, let it go. When you do have something done, they dont kill you on price, and they are quick. They dont find things to be working on, it gets worked on if it needs it, period. They are the reason why I havent bought a new car in 10 years, they make my Volvos live up to their reputation of lasting forever. Trusting your repair shop is a big deal, they will get your trust.

No longer taking my 2001 S60 here (3 stars just to give others pause--maybe this is just my experience).First oddity here for me was not rotating my tires when I had asked them to. They said it wasnt needed. Okay, thats fine, I guess--you guys are the experts.Next one was me looking into the AC DELCO battery in the car and seeing no dates/stickers/markings on it. I have no clue when it was put in--couldnt be original, right? I ask them to change it and they tell me they will test it to see if it needs to be changed. They say its fine.Between that last service and today, Ive had to recharge the battery twice to get the car to start. The last time I did this was yesterday. Today, I dropped off the car at a guy up the road instead. Gave him this same history. He says AC DELCO is the original battery for the car.Dalzell, I am really biting my stars here to not give you a 1. I went out of my way to bring my first-owned Volvo to Dalzell. What a waste of time for me.

Last year, I took my 2010 XC60 in for an oil change and an intermittent noise in the rear end. Robbie said they diagnosed a rear end bearing internally. They were able to locate a suitable replacement and did so for considerably less than I expected. I always take my Volvos to Dalzell Brothers for work. They are top shelf people.

I recently purchased a 2001 Lexus ES300 with low miles in overall great shape. I asked if everything was checked out and was told that the car goes through a safety check and everything checked out. When I took delivery of the car the rear door look did not work which was later fixed but I had to bring the car back. Later after closer inspections of the car I discovered that it had been hit in the rear which to be fair was not shown on the Carfax which was provided to me but if it was inspected closely it is evident it was hit and repaired. I should have notice beforehand but when I initially looked at the car it was raining heavily. I also discovered that approximately 2 inches of water in the wheel well where it had been hit which leads me to believe that there is a defect in the repair letting water in the trunk area which will eventually rust out the rear fender. Lastly, I inspected the cabin air filter and it was dirty and full of pine needles which I had to replace so obviously it was not checked. I wanted to make other aware of my experience and to make sure you whatever car you may be considering purchasing checked out thoroughly since they may cover the big stuff so that it passes inspection but otherwise in my opinion they do not do a detailed inspection of vehicles they sell.

Dalzell has sold and serviced my cars for the last 17 years. Cant say enough good things about this place. Robbie in service is a godsend!
