I called last minute on Friday for delivery on Saturday they were booked up. :( Woman on phone was so nice... I told her I had a party on Sunday and she said she would see what she could do. Put me on hold and came with a yes they could. Awesome! Driver showed up Saturday morning unloaded it and the driver was very friendly as well. Im sitting here in front of my fire pit now. Cant wait till party tomorrow. 2 thumbs up!

UPDATE: I was called the morning after I posted the review. The very nice lady apologized and wanted to send someone out to clean up the debris. After telling her I had already cleaned it up, she apologized again and gave me a nice credit towards my next purchase. I will order another cord from them next year, but Ill definitely do it earlier in the season. Thanks to AJT for reaching out right away and clearing this up.Had a cord delivered to my house. The lady on the phone was very nice and honest, as she was upfront in telling me the wood is semi seasoned and reading at about 50%. Decided to place the order anyways, because it was my fault ordering so late in the season. Was a little surprised she didnt offer the lower the price. Paid the same price as a cord of seasoned wood. The delivery guy was also very nice. Called me to confirm exactly where I wanted it delivered. I was very disappointed once I started stacking it. The wood is very heavy... I havent checked the moisture levels, but its definitely at least 50%. I also had to dig through a ton of debris. Ended up filling 3 1/2 wheelbarrows full of it. Luckily I have woods to dump it in or I would have called and asked them to pick it up. Always expect a little, but this was a lot. This wood was definitely at the bottom of the pile.

Update 9/27/2021Albert saw my review and contacted me promptly this morning (posted my review on Saturday evening, got a call on Monday morning). We discussed the issue and the challenges in wood measurement and definitions. My best guess is that AJT is using a face cord as their reference, as opposed to a full cord. So 1/4 cord for them is really 1/4x1/3 of a full cord (which is quite different from what I was expecting).In the end, Albert offered a partial refund, which was greatly appreciated.Updating this review to reflect the excellent service, honesty and care. Thank you!Original review (9/25/2021)Saw the great reviews, and had high hopes. Just went to get a 1/4 cord of wood, and after stacking it up at home, its coming out to 18 cubic feet, best case scenario. 1/4 cord is 32 cubic feet, so were a bit short to say the least... I am willing to take some variation - it is wood after all - but just over half the expected amount is too much variations.

We bought some firewood from these people, after 2 weeks it came. The pile of wood is soaking wet and loaded with debris. I’ve called them a few times and the girls who answered were very nice saying the owner would call us back…..no return call. I see why they wait 2 weeks to deliver, they wait for the funds to clear so if there’s a problem with the product you won’t be able to cancel the payment. Be careful they don’t back their product. What a hassle going to report them to the attorney general and the better business bureau.

We needed a granite mailbox post and ended up admiring the fire pits when we were there. They were very helpful in picking the right product. Also provide very reasonable installation services. Worked with us to coordinate a day where everything could get done at once. Appreciated the local business feel with large selection of options.

I ordered a cord of wood at a great price. On delivery I made the mistake of letting them drop the wood on site before testing it, but couldn’t find the tester in time. Needless to say, even feeling the wood, it was damp. After testing it, the pieces of wood were anywhere from 24% to 50%. Then, I stacked the wood but was missing about 30% of a cord. Both stacks measured about 90cubic feet. Well short of the 128. The larger stack shown measures 44in tall x 110in long x 17in wide. The second 44 x 96 x 16.I called the same day of the delivery and was told that someone would be at my home by the end of the day. After three or so more calls over four days, I went to the office and they finally scheduled a truck. I explained the readings had the pics to prove it, but by that time I really didn’t want to deal with them and just asked for the wood I was owed. They finally delivered the remainder as scheduled the second time.Probably not going to order from AJT again. I’ll check out another place in person before ordering.

I called them on a Friday afternoon looking to buy 3 cubic yards of mulch, Typical lead times had that order being delivered the following Monday morning.I asked if there was anything they could do to get it here Saturday, since i only had the time to mulch the gardens this weekend.After a quick hold they informed me that it would be delivered by EOD Saturday and to my delight it showed up first thing Saturday morning!Thanks AJT Supplies!

Needed stone for my home. Wasnt sure which to use, sales staff was excellent and lead me to exactly what I wanted. Delivery driver was on time and extremely helpful. Going to using them again very soon.

Service is top notch. They appreciate your business. Ordered 3yds of rich loam. It’s the best quality I’ve ever received. However there still was a good amount of 3/8th” stones but no glass.

In summary:- Nice people but sloppy service.- I ordered and paid for a full cord but they only delivered half.- When they delivered the second half, for some reason they also dumped ~150 pounds of debris — including a heavy mix of crushed stone — on my lawn.---I ordered and paid for one cord of firewood on the phone. The woman I spoke with was very kind and helpful. When the order arrived a few days later, the driver was equally kind and helpful, but when I stacked the wood I found that theyd only delivered half a cord (see first picture). I called and spoke with someone and they apologized for the error and said theyd deliver the other half in two days, which they did. But this pile included an enormous amount of debris — including about 150 pounds of crushed stone, which I didnt order (see second, third, and fourth picture.)So, while the people at AJT seem kind and helpful, they dont appear to care about the details or take pride in their work.

AJT Supplies did a great job replacing my mailbox. They even took care of disposing of the old mail box. They kept me informed when the mailbox was ready for install then followed up the week of to let me know when the install would be complete. Staff in their showroom were easy to work with and helpful.I’ll be reaching out to them soon to order some fire wood!

Needed some firewood for the beach over the weekend. They knew exactly what I needed and hooked me up. I was in and out in 10 minutes with a truck load of seasoned wood. Fired Up !

Just had 60 cubic yards of half and half loam delivered to our side yard. Many thanks to Caitlin for her help. Very nice service---fast and on time delivery and good quality loam! Recommend it to everyone who needs loam.

Ordered 5 yards of hemlock mulch. The mulch delivered looked nothing like the pictures they show of hemlock mulch. It’s just brown mulch. Also, the ‘5 yards’ didn’t cover all my property. I had 3 other companies come out and give me quotes, saying 5 yards would cover my property. I hired AJT because I wanted the hemlock mix mulch. Finally, a month after I ordered and paid for the mulch, on the day of delivery, a Friday, they tried to push it off until Monday. I told then deliver it today, or cancel the order. They showed up that day. Will never use them again.Update. I called the owner and showed him pictures of the mulch they installed. He said it was not hemlock, so they delivered the wrong mulch. They delivered spruce, or pine mulch, by mistake. They came out the next week with 1 yard of hemlock to top it off. One of the workers told me the 1 yard wouldn’t be enough, so they had to go back and get 2 more yards. I appreciate that they came back, but I would have preferred all hemlock and not the hassle involved. Cost me an extra $40 because I tipped each worker $20…….twice. They worked hard laying the mulch….

Their driver Bobby was great. He delivered 9 tons of stones to my backyard up a slope. That has saved me huge amount of work for my DIY project.

We have ordered sand, loam, stone, and a cord of wood for our outdoor fireplace. Service has always been very friendly with Caitlin with fair prices, and prompt same day/next day deliveries. On one delivery in August, the driver accidently backed over and broke one of our driveway light posts. Owner Al was very accommodating about repairing/replacing the damaged post. We ended up upgrading all the posts to granite posts. It took some time, and a bit of back and forth with scheduling, but electricians Ed and Sean were awesome about fixing a wiring issue we were having with one of the new posts. THANK YOU AJT! Don’t hire for installation!Decent costumer service, however I paid for the custom fit installation of a brownstone bench seat put on a retaining wall bench I built. The cuts were substandard and disappointing, wish i did it myself.I would buy product from them, but have someone else do the install.

I ordered 3 yards of mulch, but I didn’t receive 3 yards of mulch. Instead they delivered just over one and a half yards, and then I had to call to request the missing mulch. (The delivery driver insisted he dropped 3 yards... I wish I could upload pictures here!) I’m giving them two stars only because they agreed to drop another yard after we called to complain. I wonder how many other people they’re pinching from to increase their profits? Be weary. Incredibly disappointing experience.

* update. Someone called me to apologize a couple months after I posted this review. It doesn’t change the experience, but I do appreciate that*Disappointing! Last spring, I got black mulch, stone and loan from AJT. There was tons of glass in the loam. I am still picking it out of my lawn.Today, I received an order of mulch and more stone. The mulch was the wrong color. I have never received brown mulch from them before but they said the order was for brown mulch. I always order the same thing (black) and when ordering I say “same as last year, please”. No attempt was made to correct this.When the stone delivery came it had red mulch mixed all throughout it. Very sloppy. I don’t know how to begin picking out the bright red mulch from the stones.Both times I was not home to head off the issue. The woman I talked to at the office didn’t seem to care or make an offer to fix the problem.I will be ordering from a new landscaping materials company next spring.AJT lost an annual customer.

Ive ordered materials for a few years (loam, mulch, crushed stone) and recently had AJT repave and expand my driveway. Competitive prices and everyone Ive dealt with has been friendly, courteous, and accommodating.

We wanted bark mulch delivered to our house at a reasonable price. AJT Supplies was the perfect place for us. We ordered the mulch online, which was easy to do. A few days later we were called and were told that our order would be coming later that day. The driver put the bark mulch right where we asked. It was very good bark mulch delivered at a reasonable price. We will be using AJT Supplies the next time we need mulch.

We had AJT remove the 35 year old rotten landscape timbers, driveway and steps/walk to the house. They replaced the timbers with a block stone and replacedThe steps and walkway with stone as well, before replacing our driveway. We received “seasoned” firewood that is so wet, it will not burn. Even using a commercial starter log every time, we end up with a smoky, sizzling fire that goes out in minutes. It’s been several weeks since delivered, and is kept covered outside, and still can’t be used. We have now had to order kiln dried firewood from another company to get us through the next few months. Disappointed.

I ordered mulch under a special promo - buy 10 yards and pay for 8. I only got 8 yards (purchased 1o the next day from another vendor and pile was at least 25% larger), also the mulch was not black but a gray color and had no weight to it.

Great customer service ! Friendly knowledgeable staff! Heading into AJT Supplies, my husband and I had conflicting ideas about what we wanted. After spending time with Albert and listening to his suggestions, we ended up with a beautiful new granite mailbox post, new granite front steps and stone mulch all around the foundation of our house. Had seasoned firewood delivered. Would char and hiss but would not burn. Called 5 times before receiving any response. Owner came out and took moisture readings which read anywhere from 18-40% on outside of would that was not recently cut, did not measure inside. Refused to take wood back stating he would just have to give it to someone else. After threatening legal action they took the wood back and issued refund. Adding to the unfair and deceptive practices, this was ordered in response to a Facebook ad which did not mention the companies name. Had I known who I was doing business with I would have seen these reviews and stayed away.

I ordered a small load of loam for a project I had to do. I was not happy with the consistency of the loam mix and called and got Tom in the office. I ordered mason sand from AJT for a pool base. Driver made a error and dropped sand that was rocky and had a pallet in it. The owner quickly handled it, refunding me and having his crew shovel the sand out of my driveway on a hot day. AJT puts the customer first and stands behind what they sell. I have to say that AJT Supplies, has the best deals that I have ever seen. I called last Monday, to get an estimate on firewood, and in no time it was delivered right to my place of business. No luck with this company. It’s worse each year being their customer. No time frame for delivery, I even called on Saturday and they said they will delivery on Tuesday, but I still don’t get it after two times calling and they said will be delivery about 4:30pm.

He agreed to send some people out to take away the bad fill and bring replace with clean material. I appreciate the follow-up and adjusted the review accordingly.Not sure what kind of screen they use in their loam. Also not quite sure i accept their definition of “organic”. The material i received contains huge amounts of: shards of glass, broken ceramic dishes, wires, chunks of PVC pipe, rusted shards of metal, and even parts of the taillights of a car. I had to build my own 1/2” screen from wood and chicken wire to make the material safe and usable. I should have just called them to take it back but I didnt realize the problem would be present through all roughly 10 yards of “loam”Also, the clay content of the “stuff” i got delivered was way too high. As soon as the material gets wet, it forms super hard clumps that, when dried, are like rock.

This is a great company. I have used them for mulch and loam on several occasions over the years. They are courteous, efficient and follow instructions. I have been able to make a call and get exactly what I want delivered in 2-3 days (once the next day) and dropped in the exact spot that I requested. I look forward to their service..

Purchased 1cord of 2 years seasoned fire wood. Tried to light a fire in my fireplace and it’s the worst wood I have ever purchased in over 30 years. It won’t light no matter how small I split the wood or how much paper I use. I Split several pieces of wood and the wood is soaked! The only reason I purchased the fire wood was because of their claim to have seasoned the wood for 2 years. I went to the establishment and made a formal complaint 2 weeks ago. The company subsequently contacted me and delivered a 1/4 cord of dry wood. The issue has been resolved.

Very friendly, reasonably priced, attentive, quick responses and turn around time for finish products. Albert, the owner is extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond for his customers.

In spring 2016 I ordered 1/2 organic screened loam and mulch from this company. Price was fair, delivery was painless and product was of great quality. Spring 2017 I ordered the same products. The mulch was great the 1/2 screened loam was and is the worst quality.The reason I say is is because it still sits on my driveway, cant get myself to work with it. It is like working with concrete. It is almost impossible to get a shovel into it and Im pulling stones that are a lot bigger then a 1/2 in size. I even pulled out a wooden property marker. (see pics attached, the dime in pic measures just a bit over 1/2) I called the company and told them the product is impossible to work with and it is sitting in my driveway where the driver left it. She said she would talk to the owner and someone would call me back. That was about a 2 months ago. Nothing bothers me more then a company that does not respond to their customers, a repeat one especially. I wont buy from anyone that does not stand by their product. Very disappointed.

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. The own lies about everything. We had ordered granite treads that had to be cut to size and were on a deadline for a rental property. Everyday was an excuse why there were not delivered. Once there finally showed up two weeks late they were never even cut to size. The owner said to install them then rock face once they are installed. I have been a professional mason for 20 years and have never heard anything so stupid in my career. It just shows their lack of experience. Best thing I can say is stay away these people are a total joke.
