I was able to buy Chinese rice wine and Japanese hon tsuyu sauce both for cooking. Their selection of produce is limited, but they have a wide supply of Japanese comfort food ranging from unagi to mochi and some Chinese classics like crystal shrimp dumplings

An excellent independent Asian market and a fun culinary adventure! They have everything youll never find at a major supermarket chain, from authentic spices to a surprising amount of fresh produce, meats/fish, and snacks and noodles. So many types of noodles! While the packaging on items may seem exotic to English-speakers, the shelf labelling is clear and descriptive enough to eliminate any confusion. I highly recommend checking it out!

One of the best asian supermarkets you could ever go to. They have basically everything you could ever need for any asian dish you are trying to make. The staff as so kind and respectful. They also make it really easy to order online. I will be coming back here for many years to come!

Great selections of Taiwanese and Japanese food. Easy to use website for online ordering. Delivery is superb, and usually delivered by the staff or owner of the store. Curbside pickup is also very organized. They pack the shipment extremely well. I highly recommend this independent grocer, especially as more large Asian chains come to town.

My wife and I discovered this market a few years ago after visiting the excellent Szechuan Gourmet Restaurant just upstairs from it. We always love finding suppliers of Asian groceries, and Formosa is a really good one. Small but solidly stocked with Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Southeast Asian food supplies, its great to have this source out in Bostons western suburbs.Because of COVID-19, I was recently looking for a place that would have curbside delivery of Asian snacks. Formosa popped up online. Like many other grocery stores, it has improved its online presence and delivery efficiency to fit the times, and my last experience didnt disappoint. Online ordering was efficient. Pickup times were restricted to only certain hours each day, with no customers allowed inside the store. Theres a good sized parking lot there, and when I arrived for pickup, a number of people were already lined up to pick up their orders at the main door. Everyone was masked and spaced in orderly fashion. Occasionally someone came out from the store and collected order numbers, then going back inside to get them. Numbers were called, and customers got their stuff and were on their way. Very efficient and polite service. Highly recommended!

Although the shipment date was somewhat delayed, the package arrived very quickly once it was shipped. The items were very well packaged and glass bottles were bubble-wrapped. Each item was extremely clean and well packed. Very impressed and satisfied with the purchase. Will definitely be buying from them again!!

What a wonderful find. Formosa Market is a gem and Im so happy we found them. We live in NH and I was searching everywhere for staples we use and the owner was a delight to work with. If you have any questions, just call or email. The online customer service representatives were nice, but they cant answer questions right away. Quality of products were fantastic. The produce we ordered were excellent (Radish, Chives, Flower Chives, Taiwanese Cabbage, Bok Choy, Mustard Green, Eggplant, Bitter melon, mini bok choy). Thats a major plus. Typically we would go down to MA every 6 months and buy our staples but get so frustrated that we drive for 2 hours and come back with a limited amount of produce. The asian groceries in Burlington and Malden are not very good and you cant get anyone to help you. HMart in NJ was chalked full of fresh vegetables at a cheap price when we visited last summer but the one in MA has rotten gross vegetables with stupid high prices. The health department should really do something about those major stores selling products like that. It is super frustrating. With this service, we know we can get many of the items we need or even treats we love. You can trust that the owner will do the best they can to get high quality products to you. We have been shopping with Instacart and Whole Foods lately, but you order vegetables and the shoppers pick rotten bruised produce and you tip on top of that. Its not rocket science to maybe choose the potato that doesnt have mold on it or the leafy greens that look gross and rotten. You can always leave a note at the end to make sure you get what youre looking for with Formosa Market. They go above and beyond. With customer service lacking in our world today, they are an amazing example of what customer service should look like! I am so happy to have found them and we have been feasting all week. I am also so happy to support a local business. We have not gone into the grocery stores since the pandemic started, so we are so thankful for Formosa Market. The owner even said we could try to request items, and they would try to find them. They are doing their best to protect their staff and keeping them healthy. At the same time, they are reaching out to the community to make sure we can get the foods we enjoy and love. THANK YOU Formosa Market! Big 10 stars from our picky Taiwanese Family. We plan to use you for many years to come. Such a convenience.

Amazing! Best Asian market I’ve been to! Very clean, wonderful selection (wide range and well stocked) and a variety of both ready-to-eat and cooking products! This place has it all! I will definitely be a repeat customer; there’s no other place I’d rather go!

Not sure why this place has such high rating! It’s over priced, produce are not so fresh, very limited selection. Giving it a 2 star as they have most of the essentials one need when you can’t go to grocery. They take cash below a certain amount. Place is clean. They have few frozen fish cakes, fish balls and fishes. Some Chinese condiments, sauces, noodles. A freezer section with limited items. Staffs are good.

Wonderful store! I dont know how the owner does it, but she manages to pack everything that I would want in a small store. The trade off is that there is typically just a few brands of a particular item, but if you stock the right brands (and she does), one is all you need. The other thing that keeps me going back is that the place is clean-without all the weird smells that sometimes plague other Asian grocers. I used to think that it was unavoidable because of the spices and food that they carry, now I know better.

I would suggest ignoring First Lastreview. I know Eda personally and can tell you the claims made by this disgruntled employee are absolutely false! Eda runs an excellent operation and consistently strives for excellence in product and service. I highly recommend this marketplace for all Asian food selections.

Fresh and a wide varieties of produce, especially Asian veggies. Good selection of Chinese and Japanese food. More pricy. Store is always clean, warm and well lit when I visit. The store manager and staff provide helpful advice. Conveniently located on route 9 in a plaza with a pretty good Chinese restaurant. I usually visit these two in one trip.

Great stock, and prices lower than I expected. The only downside, is that they do have very little in the way of English translations for products. I wish I could still give a 4.75 star rating for them, because this is a very minor detail; just something I need to mention, that I feel is noteworthy to others who may go in, expecting a little more they are able to read on each product. HOWEVER, if you go here knowing what you want, with a good idea what it looks like, you should be fine.

Do not shop here. I used to work for Eda and she is running a very illegal, unprofessional business. Most of the food that is sold here is expired, and the employees are instructed to put new expiration dates on very old products. Also, the manager is just about the rudest possible human being you could ever approach in your life. If you are looking for quality asian products i suggest going to Super 88, atleast you will have a pleasant shopping experience and wont get food poisoning.
