Great hardware store. What makes it great is the customer service. Unlike the big box stores you don’t have to wander around trying to find someone to help you.I go there all the time for my DIY projects at home. They give great advice and only sell you what you need for a project. They always have to item I need.Great store which I hope is around for a long time!

Been going there for years. They are survivors, an old fashioned hardware store. Why fight traffic to a big box store when a 5 minute trip will do.Excellent informative help too!5 stars!

Went to Monnick Supply to get a propane tank filled.. Paid. Waited about 20 min.. No one showed. Went back in the guy at the register asked did someone come out.. I said no, he said someone will be right out.. Nothing.. I went back in and he just puts his hand out and says your card. Nothing like sorry or what can I do to make this up to you. Please take your business elsewhere.. I was trying to support local small business but if they dont have any customer service skills then do bother supporting them.. Take your business where the customer matters. Zero stars if I could.

It is so convenient to have Monnick in the neighborhood for paint supplies and miscellaneous hardware, bird seed, and gardening tools. I also get keys made here, and have never had a problem with them, the keys always worked the first time.

Always a great store 20 plus years I have been coming here. Now a Stihl dealer not the box store Stihl products the real ones.

Good amount of merchandise in store but most of it is overpriced. I also have yet to go there and met an associate that isnt rude. You can clearly tell that the people working there dont want to be there. Terrible customer service. Better off going to Home Depot.

Ive been treated rudely here. Once asked whether they had Gorilla tape and they guy at the desk looked up and barked its right over there! - as if I were blind or something. From the look on his face, he realized what he said was rude, but made no effort to apologize. Once went for a piece of plumbing hardware, the guy had no clue about plumbing and couldnt answer basic questions. Stock is good, but prices are high. I try to avoid this place because of the $$$ and rudeness, but will go if time is tight or I have no other choice.

Managers are rude to their customers and staff, place is unsanitary for employees, managers also dont care for the well being of their employees.Dont buy the grass seed, soil products there. The mice in Monnick like to tear them open and crawl inside of them and all the management wanted us to do was just tape them back together and sell them anyways. (Even if most the product had to be vacuumed up after coming out of the bags) Downstairs storage had mice everywhere and the mice would poop and chew marks on some of the products. Was constantly finding dead mice on, around the products. Extremely unsanitary. Downstairs storage also smelt like there were dead mice just rotting away down there too. Mice crawl up to your toes in the restrooms and there was also a fly problem in there.Also plenty open, empty alcohol containers that were out in the open in back storage and the back storage stairs leading to upstairs storage which also had beer cans left around all over the place. Drinking on the job isnt so professional.The place is run unprofessionally by people who are full of themselves and dont even care enough to make the place sanitary. No wonder I was getting sick working there.Managers and staff will also gladly talk trash about other employees when they leave. Theyd give an attitude and generally just act like a jerk when any new employees needed help with anything. Once again. Unprofessional. Especially when they fired me for being sick on my first month and tried telling me on the phone that the job wasnt for me.Dont bother associating with this place or its people. The whole time working there felt like I was surrounded by people who hated working there and hated the people coming in. You can tell that when the employees play nosies (whoever touches their nose last has to do whatever the others were too lazy to do) just for propane refills. Which was quite common with most of them.HOWEVER, few of my coworkers there were extremely nice, helpful people and in my opinion deserve better. However, from the perspective of a former employee who was fired unfairly for being sick in a work enviromment like theirs, Id advise staying away.

I like the store great place. But I was kept waiting 15 minutes at the propane area. After the fact the employee that came snatches the receipt from my hand. And when hes done he just walks away lol. Wow, that amazing you keep me waiting but youre angry at me. I just laughed because thats all I could do. Im not going to waste my time and argue I have better things to do.
