Great experience. I contacted them through an online ad to purchase a 2019 Bennington pontoon that was a demo. The boat was in wonderful condition when I picked it up. Promises-kept. I was a little worried since I made a 7+ hour drive from Indiana to trade-in my runabout and pickup the new boat. They honored their word on both sides of the deal which is always a concern when you buy sight-unseen. I worked with Scott who was the consummate professional. His attentiveness, attention to detail, communication, and thoroughness were top-notch. Despite the Covid crisis attempting to derail us at just about every turn, Scott stayed in touch and helped me navigate the transactions once Michigan allowed travel. If I could give 6-stars I would. I would certainly buy from Mac Donald Marine again.

The boat I have been wanting was listed on I Boats.com. It was being sold at Mac Donald Marine in Frankfort Michgan.. Lund Tyee 1900 in Lund Red. I inquired about the boat and was able to work out a deal from 2400 miles away in California. Sales person Scott G. was very helpful throughout the process and worked diligently to help me get the details needed for my finance company. All in all this was a great experience.

We drove from Crispell Lake MI (235 miles) to purchase a Qwest pontoon from MacDonald Marine. Scott was our salesman but everyone we met at the dealership was so friendly and helpful and have continued to be post-purchase. I would definitely recommend! We LOVE our new boat.

First and foremost I want to say the only positive I have with this experience is that they gave me week to be able to come and see the boat being that it was an 8 hour trip for me. I kept my end of the deal and showed up with check in hand ready to purchase and leave with the boat. I drove 4 hours one way yesterday to look at a used boat that I’ve been talking to Scott and Dan about for the last week. We’ve gone back and forth with pictures and I had asked a ton of questions, they seemed to get more irritated with every question and kept reminding me they had three behind me waiting to buy this specific boat. I understand this is a used boat and is not in NEW condition. I specifically asked about dents, scratches and damage and was told the boat was in great condition, no dents. Only to arrive and find that there were dents, holes in the cover and damage that not only had NOT been mentioned to me but were written in their own inspection report. Also listed in their report were algae/mold growing on carpet, new propeller needed, fuel vent cover missing.. needs new one, front roller needed to be replaced and load guide board was ready to come off. NONE of which was mentioned to me prior in the several phone calls and texts. Not to mention when I finally got there they kept reminding me they were closing soon and I needed to hurry up and if it was taking me that long it probably wasn’t the boat for me, and again mentioned they had people waiting to buy it. Not the people I would want representing me if I were Lund. They were rude and didn’t seem to care about my business or the fact that I had just drove 4 hours one way to bring my business to them! I trusted them and took them for their word, I lost $100 in fuel, a day of travel and days of interest on a loan that I no longer need. And the biggest kicker is that I lost out on 3 other boats that were 100% BUYABLE by taking their word

Great experience. Successfully navigated a number of supply chain issues to deliver selected boat and trailer on time. Being a first time boat owner appreciated the tutorial and equipment overview upon pickup. Staff was super friendly and aimed to please. Highly recommend!

If I could give a ZERO star rating I would! Parts and Service desk were nothing short of disrespectful. Basically don’t go in here if you don’t have a brand new boat or they will literally laugh in your face before you get the entire date out of your mouth. I am appalled by how I was treated and will be telling others about my experience!

Rent from these people. They are pricey, but then we rented on 7/9, the height of busy season. The price of gas is included in the price. They were honest and gave us skis and a tube, no extra charge. The cost was $500 but we rented last minute. I suspect if you rent in advance, youd get better pricing than I did. Nevertheless they were very easy to deal with.

CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO FIX YOUR BOAT! Every time weve taken our boats to them, they are just as broken as they came in. MacDonald Marine has proven themselves to be not only incompetent, but apathetic. Their local monopoly is the only thing keeping them in business. If you want your boat repairing reliably, take your business elsewhere.

Called to get a quote for 2 front fenders for the 230 foot dock I purchased from them a few years ago and the sales contact was too busy to call be back despite 2 calls from me! I have now waited 3 days for a call. I had planned to ask about adding a patio section to our dock but will now go out if my way to find another dealer that will call me back!!

HORRIBLE customer service, overcharge for everything, blame boat owners when they are clearly at fault ect. They will take your parts if you store you boat during the winter. Wish I could give a 0 star rating. Do business anywhere else but here, it’ll save you trouble.

Very disappointed in the after sales process. Bought boat, lift, and dock system. The full service promised came with a footnote after the fact. I am not sure how the confusion came about but sorely disappointed. Will not do any further business with company.

MacDonald Marine has the absolute worst customer service. Whenever I call there they treat me like I am an idiot. They do not stand behind their products. The hoist I purchased from them two years ago broke and they told me it would take weeks for them to come look at it and spoke to me like I was the problem. They do not stand behind the products they sell. I will never buy anything from them again.

Charged me over $500 to tell me they couldn’t fix my boat. They are not good with inboard outboard’s or inboard motors. Probably OK without boards but trust me don’t bring them anything else
