Decent selection. A bit pricey.

Extremely disappointed yet again. This has been hit or miss for a few years, but the misses keep tallying.Has a decent* selection that is scattered and disjointed; most of the staff barely know their product; prices keep rising compared to competitors. There are few reasons to keep returning. And, this last debacle is the nail in the coffin.Goose Island releases one incredible beer each year... on the same day.... each year. To walk in this morning for the highly anticipated release (after speaking with the beer guy earlier this week to confirm availability) to arguably the worst customer service experience was beyond disappointing. I would have weathered the price gouging that occurs here regularly, but the blatant lack of customer service without regard is just too much now.

They always have what I need, and at a good price. Surprising selection of beers, some craft beer, craft ciders, all the liquor you could want. Two coolers filled with beer, champagne, cider, wine, a few liquors.

Red Dot has its merits. They had a great selection but the prices are a little higher than some competitors. Example being, a particular bottle of bourbon I bought was about $8-10 more than I have seen at the big box liquor stores. Another bottle I priced fell about the same difference in price, this one being one Ive bought quite a bit which was about $6-7 more. I get that RD is a local store and prices may have to be higher to compete in the Covid era but I was a bit surprised the prices were so different. However, one bottle of higher end bourbon I priced was only about $4 higher so theres that. I may check in at RD on occasion to check hard to find options but they wont be a regular stop. Positive side, the staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful.

The staff is great, but the owner is horrible.He increases the prices by 600% to customers because, he doesnt have to pay taxes.Rip off and unethical standards of sales. No integrity, most likely due to his foreign attitude.I contacted the KY ABC about his markups.Go back to India and stop ripping off Americans. He already has 5 years of tax-free income.Go to Liquor Barn or Kroger...do not support this dothead!

Red Dot is one of, if not the best selections of beers, liquors and spirits in the Capital City. An ever growing beer selection and you can buy Growlers and get tap beer. Great place to get all your drinking needs.
