Stop and Shop is my favorite grocery store. This location has a great variety in selection and low prices, good sales. They have self checkout. The staff is helpful and not rude. The shelves are neatly organized and the store is clean. Items are clearly labelled and there is enough inventory out. Have not seen anything expired on shelves. There is fresh seafood and marinated meats available for convenience. They have a nice bakery section too.The entrance is in the center of the parking lot. The layout is a bit unusual as bread items are all the way to the left aisle past the household items and pharmacy items while milk is all the way to the right aisle, and the store is quite large so it is a long walk to expect if you are in a rush. I feel like bread and milk are usually near each other but there’s probably no rule about it.The checkout lines for the cashiers could be labelled clearer as the customers line up to go down the aisles but can’t tell which cashier lane their line is for.

**Updating my 4 star rating to 1**Bought a bag of potatoes and box of dates.Both of them are stale products. Not sure how often they refresh their inventory.But, Im left with disappointment after opening the potato bag, just to see rotten potatoes in them. Even, dates werent fresh as it mentioned. They were very dry and are with foul smell.Highly disappointed.

Was in the area today and did some shopping. Have visited this location before. Disappointed today, layout of the store was re arranged. Places i used to pick up stuff was moved. No store employees to ask where new location was. Customer service line taking forever. Item availability was poor. Hardly any ready to drink beverages in dairy and frozen veggies- no peas at all. Was happy about fresh muffins in bakery and option for self checkout now.

You can expect the produce to always disappoint. Meat is mediocre/lesser quality. I have several times brought milk home only to find that it has gone bad (not expired, just spoiled). Store is ALWAYS crowded. Bonus points on expanding the ethnic food selections, good prices and the employees are usually pleasant. But the quality of the fresh food needs some help!

Well it was recently refurbished in interior.But starting to change a bit.Hope it does not continue.?

This is a nice store. Only a few minutes from where I live so I’m here at least once a week. Parking is easy, and everything from there on out is on you. I find the shelves are well organized and stocked. I’ve never had any issues here.

Clean supermarket. Well stocked with visible signage describing items in each aisle. Check out was painless and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Upgrades to store are great. Very clean and self help stations have been added to make the lines very smooth.

Nice Stop and Shop but noticed a lot of items off shelves on a Saturday evening visit. Could be the time of day, but overall a nice experience.

Prices a little high. They need to work on stocking things better. Many times I go there and they are out of multiple things on my shopping list.

The Stop and Shop in West Hempstead is the best! It always has fresh fruits and meats. Their Bakery Breads and other items are fantastic! Customer Service is great. This store is always clean!

Always carry what we are looking for. Helpful staff. Clean store. Great produce selection...free fruit for kids. There is a pharmacy and a florist. They carry seasonal items. The organic selection offers lots of choices. They have Kombucha and they carry varieties of Ezekiel bread...there is ample parking.

My boyfriend and I go here almost every night lol. Best prices! We always have a sweet tooth and they have the most delicious treats. The renovations are lovely and makes the whole shopping experience more enjoyable. This is my fav grocery store :)

Everyone there was nice, and I had a good experience there. I’m giving it 4 stars because the floor was a little dirty and there wasn’t a lot of cultural foods but other than that the prices are great, especially the produce!

I am not referring to the store associates. They are very respectful toward other by wearing masks. The issue is that some customers do not wear their masks.There is no enforcement on this.The woman in front of me on the long line in the beer section refused to keep her mask on and yelled at me when I explained it’s not safe.The manager could not find security, and just let me skip the line.I appreciate that, but being pregnant and stressed during a pandemic is a very frustrating thing.I won’t be able to come here again, nor my family. Cherry Valley will be my go to or Lidil.People are very selfish not wearing masks.

Just purchased meat and chicken because it stated “packed today” BOTH SMELL RANCID & discolored. I cannot believe the lack of quality, food control & the nerve to place this out to be sold. Not even for FREE this is acceptable. I’m writing this review because is not the first time. My husband hates to complain because it’s mostly him who goes shopping, however I cannot have this happen to someone else.Both had to be trashed, not even suitable for a dog to digest.I tried to salvage half of it, I had to take pictures because I couldn’t believe it.My family and neighbors lived here before this was a stop and shop, I know we have some bad days but lately the quality is just going down hill. As a fellow neighbor and daily customer.Please do better.

I only come here for the excellent pharmacy. Tom and Kim are true professionals. The store needs a clean bathroom and needs a much needed update.

The remodel is nice. With 8 self check out registers more the wait isnt ever that long to get yourself out

Not favorite STOP & Shop. They took over a Pathmark and moved right in without any overall. Its old and it looks like it. Old isnt the good type Its the broken down dirty type. Night Manager has problems, always yelling in the morning when it opens.

Store is horrible was at customer service for card and had 2 boxes of cereal and brillo and a sponge after filling out for member card they still made me go and wait to check out . They must not know about Amazon. But unfortunately they will . Poor UFCW

Stop & Shop is my favorite grocery store. They offered us a very fast and friendly service, prices, and selection. I would rather shop here than anyplace else. The meat selection is excellent and the prices cant be beat any other store around. I strongly recommend this store and will definitely do my shopping at this place all times.

Its the easiest place to get the food you need. Friendly staff, and customers. No lengthy lines when purchasing the items you want.

Nice people wish it was open 24 hours like the older store that was there. Nice selection clean. Wheelchair accessible. Nice bathrooms. Good parking and plenty of it you can rest under the trees. Not too far from the doctors office across the street 401 is where I hang out on Franklin Avenue. And 409 sister Shelley AKA Barbara hangs out there and we like shopping over here. They are in a good area so they have higher-quality people insist on it over here. Sometimes the produce and or fruits are sweet and tasty plus Ive noticed some healthier foods here. And never have I ever waited long online to check out thats why they got four stars. But Im here early or really late.

I picked up an order of fried whiting this past Friday and was very pleased that the order was prepared on time and the fish was very good. I had to travel from the Bronx because I couldnt find a stop and shop near me to take a fish order. I will recommend this store to my many family and friends.

Handycap carts not working and all mangled up. Handycap car parking spots as usual had 3 cars parked in handycap car spots that had NO handycap plates or stickers on them. I guess Stop & Shop Dont realy care for handycap people. It is worth the ride to ShopRite, they care.

I gave four stars only because they didnt have everything I normally purchase, Im sure it is because of the virus, this store has great social distancing and is a good supermarket.

They could have better sales....

If you get what you really want then it was your lucky day. Never stocked properly always out of stock many many items. Specially in grocery and produce.
