Great place to find accessories for window shades
Fabric heaven! Lots of knitted samples around the store with corresponding patterns and yarn. Classes are held in the back of the store. The staff is knowledgeable and offers guidance and suggestions. A real treat.
They have such a great selection of material here and the staff were so helpful. Im a photographer and have used the store mainly for backdrops or items to add textures to my studio. The staff seemed to pick up right away that I wasnt there to sew an item of clothing, but properly guessed I was a photographer and offered me some wonderful help. I dont know how they guessed so accurately, but it made my experience great. I would like to try my hand at sewing in the future, so Ill be back, theres just so much to choose from.
I love this store. I wish I lived closer, it were easier to reach and my schedule meshed better with theirs. But then I would have No money in my wallet. Ever. Great yarns. Great fabric. Great threads. Great staff. No bike rack. Tricky parking. Impossible for me to reach via transit. And dont go if you have a train phobia or are bothered by vibrating buildings and loud sound of trains passing at good speed within feet of the store.
Love, love the Franklin Mill Store.Always find things that I like.Manager and staff extremely friendly and helpful if you need it.Been shopping here for over 50 yrs.
Kids sewing classes are amazing. Beautiful fabrics, great staff!
Very nice for fabric particularly quilting and home decorating. A little light on yarn, particularly high end.
Great little sewing knitting quilting rughooking shop...love this place.
First time there, amazed at all their merchandise! Quiet and accommodating!
Great shop. Wonderful staff. Terrific classes.
Very nice long time neighborhood gem.
Love the mini class on English Paper Piecing. And I found a fabric I needed. Great Kaffe Fassett selection.
Nice store and people. Nice selection of fabrics and out of the ordinary patters.
My daughter takes sewing lessons here and she loves it. The staff is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.
Splendid quilting fabrics on sale in January. Also, its the go to place for buttons, zippers, and hard to find sewing gizmos
Great local shop! A lot of variety of fabric and a wealth of seeing knowledge!
This review is for the place as a yarn store, not what seems to be the main business of fabric. If youre into fabric and sewing, youll almost certainly be in love with it. The fabric just seems to go on and on. Ive been twice for the yarn. They have a small-ish selection thats pretty much just Plymouth and Berroco. There are several different lines of each companys yarns and good selection of colors, but its better if youre going explicitly for those yarns. The selection of needles and notions is small as well. Its still definitely worth a visit if youre looking to visit local yarn stores and is a must-see if you do specifically need something from either Plymouth or Berroco as there are great odds theyll have it. If you want the traditional LYS experience, OTOH, its not going to be quite the same.
A little old fashion. Thats why i love it.
Great selection and very reasonably priced.
Very pricey
Not only are the fabrics of the highest quality, this is also an important historical building.
The Franklin Mill Store has been my preferred fabric store for 27 years!
Amazing place!
Quality fabrics
