Outstanding experience. The fixed our lawnmower of many years to run like SILK!!! Did it in a timely manner and could not have been nicer. The also cleaned it...I had forgotten what color it was originally!! I cannot recommend enough! We will go back in the future.

Great job repairing my weedwacker, however it took over a month! Not a good wait - during the summer season.Ill give them a pass though as it may be because of the issues with help and Covid. Not sure though.

Showed up five minutes before they closed on a Saturday, I thought I would just be dropping off my chainsaw. They spotted the problem right away and proceeded to repair my chainsaw, cut a new chain, installed it and finished the repair in under 20 minutes. All for a very reasonable price. Love these people.

Great shop...they know their stuff! I came in for a very specific part as well as a little advice since I like to work on my own things. The shop gave me 2 parts that were vital for free!! As well as plenty of advice and instruction. Great shop run by great folks...rare place in these times

TERRIFIC SERVICE! Nice folks providing great service and super quick turnaround. Drop-off to pick up was 3 days! I could not have asked for anything faster. Very fair prices. I would have expected to pay twice as much to get it back so fast. My new go to place for small engine repair.

The sales lady was really helpful and nice. I came here to purchase a carburetor and gasket for my lawn mower. She got me the correct part but I ended up not needing it. They returned it no problem.

Friendly family service with a smile. These folks perform great work. They rebuilt the carb on my pressure washer which Id let sit with gas in the tank. BIG mistake on my part but they fixed it in short order for a VERY fair price. We need to support businesses like this!

J&H Small Engine is one of the finest lawn mower shops I’ve ever been too. The staff, made up mostly the owners and family as far as I could tell, are very friendly and helpful. They helped me order some parts for a repair I was doing myself, and took the time to make sure I had all the right stuff. They even gave me advice on how to do the best job, even though I was doing it myself and not hiring them to do the work. Not the cheapest place. You can buy a lot of the same parts from Amazon for less. But the time and expertise they give you is worth far more than a few dollars. So if you need small engine/lawn mower work done or parts, buy local from J&H and make sure that gems like this stay in business and we all benifit from the deep well of knowledge and experience for a long time to come.

I think many people believe a small engine repair shop should have mechanical engineers doing the repair. Sorry, most times you get a good ole boy that tinkered with motors all his life. Ive used J&H several times. Have had no issues and felt the service was timely and cost reasonable. I was raised on a farm so I am use to clutter. If you are looking for a clean dealer type shop this is not for you. If you are looking to get a small engine repaired I dont hesitate to use them. Matter of fact, taking a mini tiller and blower there today. Wish I were more mechanically minded but glad these country boys are. I am a critical person so I docked them one star for facilities quality. Maybe unfair but I think reasonable.

My 15 year-old son mows a few yards in the neighborhood and when his mower broke down, he had a friend run him to J & H. They worked on it a few minutes and got it back running. Come time to pay - they looked at him and said were good. Try and find that kind of service and neighborly feel anywhere else. Thanks J & H. Ive always taken my stuff here and will never go anywhere else.

We had a part on a small electric steamer that broke, which was still under warranty. We had to take it to these folks for an “evaluation,” before anything could be done. The replacement came soon after. Thanks. They did a GREAT job.

Pretty poor communication overall. Called on Thursday to ask, they said I needed model number (understandable), called back Monday with model number they said I needed to come in. I came in on Tuesday with the belt and they said they couldnt find my part. My mower is not easy to find parts for, but a few more questions up front could have save a whole lot of time, gas, and energy on my part.

They had my small mower in - fixed - and out in 4 days. They also called before fixing mower to get my OK on all repairs since my mower was cheap and I had told them I didnt plan on spending a lot to tune it up. Staff was friendly and helpful; the guys even loaded and unloaded my machine.

Took my echo weed trimmer to be repaired at Brentwood Mower. Thats where I purchased the line trimmer less than two years ago. They told me the trimmer was not keeping compression and engine was blown. Took it to J&H and they fixed the problem by cleaning the carb! Honest folks and great mechanics.

My first trimmer was broken because the gas in my trimmer is not mixed with oil. The trimmer cant be started. They noticed the problem from the liquid color and didnt do any extra work. They charged me over 40 dollars for the diagnosis. Never go back. Horrible experience.

Brutal experience...promised completion date missed several times (over five weeks total)...estimate increased over the course of this delay. upwards of $175 ...am a patient guy, and could handle all of this until I brought it home, only to find it does not start!! Going back...to be continued

Took my mower in for repair and the guys was fast to diagnose and fix it. i read all these bad reviews and realize that how stupid people are. first off you dont wait to middle of spring to take your mower in for a service.sure there gonna be backed up for weeks everybody is not just the guys at j & h. i took mine in the end of winter thats the best time. everything works thru dealers. if the dealer has the part on back order well who knows when they will get it. i have been there i waited for parts from car dealers who said they was suppose to come in today and still not there..so WAKE UP people.Again go to them in the off season it works for me.

DO NO USE J & H SMALL ENGINE !!!!!!!!!!!!They charge $35.00 just to look at and item then charge out of site for repair. I had just filled up my gas tank they stole the gas out of my tank. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
