This is one of the best antique stores in the Frederick area. They have tons of great finds and by tons, I mean TONS. There is so much to look at here that it was almost overwhelming to take in the sight of everything as soon as I walked in the door. Ill be honest, I have driven by Old Glory Antique Market Place hundreds, if not thousands of times having lived in Frederick for some time now. I just always seemed to overlook this place. Now that I have visited, I will most definitely be coming back. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are some of the best that Ive seen in town.

Nice selection of items. There are several dealers here who have seriously bumped there heads as far as pricing. I have been to this store numerous times over the years. There are items that I have seen for probably 5+ years because they are just priced so high. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. I did find a seriously killer deal on a coke machine. The kid that was I guess supposed to help me load it was basically useless. Over it was a nice trip. But if some of the dealers brought there prices back to real world the store would be a better place to visit.

Another collection of individual businesses under one (in this case) warehouse roof--a setting that makes it feel less like an antique experience and more like an indoor antique flea market or yard sale. For me, much of the fun of exploring places like this is the overall atmosphere, which is lacking here. Also: quite a few vendors feel lower end, especially those who look like they emptied out of their basement or dusted off shelves or boxes of old books that may not have sold that well when they were new. One vendor does have a large and nicely displayed collection of old cuff links.

I will be th he first to admit that I dont know much about antiques but I found Old Glory Antiques fascinating. I was looking for a cake stand for no particular reason. I just got it in my head that I needed a cake stand. The store is rather big and full of furniture, dishes, records, books -- you name it and they probably have it in duplicate.I loved walking around and just exploring. The store is well arranged and easy to walk through. I did find that it was difficult to read some of the price stickers but that is a minor complaint. I did find a really lovely cake stand with a matching server. It is in perfect condition and fit my price limit. As it turned out, there were several cake stands so I could have my pick. I dont know when I will really use my new purchase but I am thrilled with it.I will visiting Old Glory again just to look closer at things I saw this first time through and also to discover hidden treasures.

The staff is extremely helpful. I really enjoyed my time there until a stumbled upon a seller with some of the most racist and disturbing items Ive ever seen sold. I would have appreciated a warning being posted that the vendor sells racially insensitive and inflammatory items so I could have made the choice to view their booth or not, take my small child into the booth or not.

I shopped at this consignment store several years ago to get a 2-piece wooden dresser set for my house and then, it was a great place with many different vendors setups within. I came here 3 weeks ago and the place was full to the brim! It was so cluttered that I just couldnt see anything but mountains of stuff. It has gotten really bad over the past few years. Its just clutter at this point. You might find a few diamonds in the rough but there is a literal boatload of stuff in the way so youll be looking for awhile. My eyes hurt after wandering through looking for paintings and matching bedside tables. Im not saying that to be critical, Im saying it as a warning to anyone who goes there to shop. Make sure youre well-rested and have a few coffees so your brain can process and analyze all that stuff that youre about to feed your eyes. So much stuff!! :O

Seem to have a lot of dealers with nice range of antiques; however, I was ask to leave my backpack (more of a small purse size) in the car. They did have a sign on the door but I missed it, until it was rudely pointed out. I gladly complied, then my husband and I were followed like criminals, staff not nice at all.

Old Glory is an odd mix of antique shop and indoor flea market. Theres more than enough antique furniture and goods here to justify calling it an antiques market, but know that it does have its share of flea market junk. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, though. You never know what you might find here. Most of my reviews for indoor multi-vendor antique shops and flea markets include one common detail, and Old Glory is no different: a central checkout more or less eliminates the opportunity to haggle on prices. Thats one big negative about Old Glory and most places like it. However, if you dig deep enough, you may just find some hidden gem. I usually go about 3 months between visits here, and one thing I dont like is that much of the merchandise never changes. That said, its still easy enough to spend an hour here, and Ive found just enough small treasures over the years to keep me coming back.

I’ve shopped here before and it was pretty decent. Today, i walk in with an EMPTY tote bag, shop around for about 10 minutes, and an employee chased me down to retrieve my bag because I apparently can’t have an empty bag with me. I turn around and see a woman with a large purse and another woman with a backpack on, both of whom have been shopping and were within 10 feet of me. How the employee didn’t see them and have issue with their bags, I don’t know. I let her take my bag, but I felt singled out and promptly retrieved my bag and left after telling her about the other bags. She said it’s for everyone, that she wasn’t calling me a thief. Hmm okay, perhaps judging a book by its cover? Not today, not ever again. If you wanna support closed-minded businesses, by all means, shop here.

Review №54

The staff here is nice, and this is a good place if youre interested in collecting old collectibles. However, the stuff here is expensive, I found a 1950-1960 toy gun that was broken and pieces of it were missing, it went for the price of $13-$20. I found a better toy gun from a different seller that even included a holster to go with it, but it was $55! I found a seller on Etsy that offered the same toy gun for the price of $22 and was in good condition! That is 2.5 times less the price of the toy gun that was being sold here. The vendors here have to pay rent which is understandable, but considering the antique prices are expensive here and will kill your wallet, the rent must be huge if the vendors have to sell stuff for huge amounts of the price. I walk out empty handed more times than you can count, all because of the prices. But im not stopping anybody from going to this place, though only if you have a high budget that youd want to spend here. For those who have low budgets that you want to spend on collecting, then this place isnt for you.

Theyre always nice. Its worth it to go hunting in there.Theres more yard-sale stuff there than Id like to see but you gotta pay the rent.Theres some stuff, especially in front, that seem like high-end collectibles that never move, but if subsidizing an antique mall is the only way collectors have to store and display their goodies then good for them.

Its really just a museum. A museum filled with stuff you cannot buy. Just about everything is way overpriced. One can tell by the old yellowed tags that a lot of it has been sitting for a very long time. All of the collectible toys in this place you can get on Ebay for less than half the price. Antique furniture and collectibles sit with yellowed price tags. I dont understand why dealers take money out of their own pocket to pay their rent. The rent should come from the items you sell. Its absurd to me. I buy and sell a lot. This place was the only antique mall I have visited in the last 30 years where I walked out empty handed. One star goes to the owners. They are doing a great job collecting the rent every month.

Nice selection, items reminiscent ...The lady at the front was quiet rude. When I asked her about an item she just stood there with her arms folded. She did not budge and it was not until a customer offered to help that she showed the slightest bit of interest. However she was full of conversation with other customers....hmmmmmMust mention I am African American so the thought of racism did cross my mind. But I would like to chalk it up to just poor customer service . Whatever the case, my money is green like everyone elses and my purse is full of plastic. I do not think the vendors would appreciate how she ignored a customer when asked about their merchandise.

This is an okay store. If youre looking for items that are 1950s and more recent, youll have better luck than someone searching for primitives and 19th or early 20th century pieces. Its a large store, so theres plenty to look at, but a lot of it is flea-market style items.
