Always a good time at Davidus Cigars! Excellent service. They have a wide selection. Of cigars to suit every taste. A Very impressive humidor stocked with fresh cigars. I have come here on many occasions and spent thousands! Make sure to be a part of their loyalty program and take a seat in the Lord Baltimore cigar lounge for some good conversation and a quality smoke.

It’s the best tobacco store in a small town like Frederick. It has the best selections and widest variety of cigars and pipe tobaccos, accessories etc. The staff there are very helpful!It has the right atmosphere to relax in its lounge. Excellent ventilation unlike its competitor in Frederick (Quartermaster)It’s the most conductive feeling to relax without the blaring TVs and bright lights. It is like being in an old den and best place to bring one or two cigar buddies to have a good chat. You can bring your own spirits.

The overall selection is probably the best you will find in Frederick. Notably absent is Gaja and Last Call but that’s about all that’s missing. The staff is uniformly helpful, cheerful and enthusiastic about cigars.

Great service. They have a great lounge with excellent ventilation. A very social group of patrons frequent this lounge and make everyone feel comfortable. The manager and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Half of enjoying the cigar is enjoying the cigar, the other half is enjoying the moment. This lounge has excellent selection and is welcoming and comfortable and all of the staff are knowledgable helpful and warm. Tyler and Brad in particular make my day every time I see them. Far beyond just general chit chat, they are genuine guys who are really interested and capable of developing long lasting customer relationships that really make a place worth frequenting.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brad for his excelanece in Cigar knowledge and Customer Service. Whenever I kneed a box transferred to the Frederick store or need assistance with a selection his recommendations have been great. Brad keeps the lounge clean and stays busy throughout his shift. The shopping experience at Davidus is horrid. The management has requested their employees to hand out trays to customers so that all cigars remain visible to cameras. Furthermore, an employee must be present in the room at all times (even if the employee is mindlessly shuffling boxes). This is a completely unnatural way to shop for a cigar. Secondly, requiring your employees to confront every client under the pretense of shoplifting is to pass judgment. This behavior amounts to a poor buying experience and when purchasing a cigar thats about all cigar shops have to offer. One could say smoking a cigar is (or was) at some point considered dignified but Davidus is selling a contradictory experience by establishing shoplifting as a precursor. This management decision reflects the lack of respect missing for both the employees and customers. Its clear the idea from the owners perspective is that he is selling a mere commodity and those that enter his store should be so lucky to shop there. I have tried to reach out to the owner privately but the Davidus phone system is completely automated. In a sense, not only is the owner looking down on his patrons but he is also far removed and inaccessible.

A great selection of cigars. Davidus carries many of the more well known cigar brands. The lounge can easily get crowded on a busy night but it is comfortable and clean.

Definitely like the service and knowledge of the gaithersburg staff compared to this location. I go into the humi and ask the clerk if they had the partagas and Bolivar brand sticks. Not only did he not know about the sticks he seemed incoherent and out of it completely. I had to repeat my question about the brands which was simply do you carry these brands here, I have purchased a partagas from their gaithersburg location. I ended up going to the competition quarter masters and they had what I needed as well as the service I should have had at davidus being a member. Will never shop at this location again.

Theres a new idiot employee working at the Davidus Cigars in Frederick that kicked my friend and I out. We walked in to enjoy a smoke like we always do, he didnt greet us and only asked for our IDs. I am 20 (people say i look 16) and have a Maryland license. My friend I went with is 25 and has a virginia license. This new employee accepted my MD license (again, keep in mind people say i look 16) and he did NOT accept my 25 year old friends license from virginia. My friend looks way older than me and has a full beard going for him. This employee denied us access to the humidor because he thought we were state troopers or some buddies of law enforcement which is untrue. Because of this new employee, Davidus has lost 2 great customers. We will not return to ANY Davidus Cigars.
