This is a really nice store, filled with a great selection of every type of shoe a dancer could want. Also an excellent collection of leggings, dancing pants, and hose/tights. It is in an older building, and the space is just lovely, with high vaulted ceilings and a loft area (for employees only, but gives it a cool vibe!). The store has a nice layout, easy to get around and see everything, and items are grouped together well for easy comparison. The employees were VERY knowledgeable, and VERY helpful!

Wonderful staff here. Our daughter is everything her first year of Pointe dancing. They quickly got us through the line and inside to meet with a staff member who spent time working with our daughter to find the best fit.

SUPERFANTASTIC!!My daughter needed a replacement pair of pointe shoes. I called Wednesday afternoon. The shoes arrived at my house the next day by noon, with the ribbons and elastic sewn on.That is crazy service! I did not ask for overnight shipping but my daughter is very excited to wear her new shoes tonight.

Jesse at the Frederick location was awesome. She was very friendly and very helpful with my daughter who needed point shoes for ballet. They had alot of products in stock and all the employees were very helpful. If you need anything dance related, please stop by and talk to Jesse and the other employees... they will be glad to help you out and get you what you need.

We received excellent customer service. I must have tried on at least 6 pairs of dance shoes and the salesperson was more than willing to get more shoes until I found exactly what I wanted. I will definitely go back when I want more dance shoes.

Fantastic selection. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. I needed unusual sized tap shoes and they had it in the stlye I wanted in two colors. The price doesnt compare with online, but the opportunity to try them on before purchase and walk out the door ready to dance cant be beat.In addition, I have foot issues and the clerk was able to recommend a very helpful shoe insert that worked with these shoes.

My visit today was awful, i went on at 1:00 to get pointe shoes there were 2 other people there getting pointe shoes so i understood and left for 30 min because that’s how long they said it would take. i can back the store was filled however my spot should have been filled because me and my dad signed my name on the board and talked to staff . however they called other people’s names not mine, i was completely ignored no one asked what i was doing there for or what i needed or even bothered to tell me the wait time !! i don’t ever want to go back here. terrible customer service

Great experience! They didnt have in stock what I needed but ordered the items on the spot. Kept me updated with phone calls on estimated delivery. Prices were comparable. Would highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience today at footlights, I took my two year old to find her first leotard and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She knew exactly what size my daughter needed and helped me find the perfect leotard. When they didnt have her size tights they ordered them for me and called me later the same day to say they were ready! Will definitely be using footlights for all my daughters needs in the future.

I went in on a Saturday morning to get a new pair of dance shoes, to be fair they were busy. I was ignored by the girl stocking shelves but found what I needed on my own, stood at the register for 10 minutes and was ignored. When someone did finally come to the register they helped the person at the other register and completely ignored me. When I finally asked if I needed to come to the other register she had a rude comment, so I left without making a purchase. Not only terrible customer service, just plain bad communication.

My daughter loves to shop here. Staff are hands on and helpful. It’s more expensive than ordering online but the service is second to none!

Our family has been Footlights customers for going on 15 years, Ive always been so impressed by the staffs professionalism and knowledge. Complete confidence in shoe fittings no matter if its for pointe, ballet, tap or jazz. As my youngest dances at her home studio in Frederick and does supplemental summer study in Silver Spring it has been wonderful to know we can shop Footlights in both locations for all her dance needs.

Footlights has an amazing inventory of dance products! So many beautiful leotards and dance accessories! I have been going to Footlights for years and I am always impressed. Their employees are amazing, so knowledgeable and always helpful. They also do the best pointe shoe fittings in the region!

Its a huge store with stuff for kids and adults. They always fit my kids shoes perfectly and have tons of styles and types to choose from.

Unreliable. I ordered ballet shoes and it took them 5+ weeks for me to get it. Poor communication: No updates, I had to keep calling them to find out whats up when I was told to expect it in 2 weeks. It was always recommended to me and when I went, reception was not very warm. They were not enthusiastic to help me figure out what I needed.

Footlights has great staff. It has dance shoes and leotards for all ages. If your child is going en pointe for the first time I recommend you go here. The staff are professionaly trained to fit you in point shoes.

The employees were pleasant but we went for ballroom shoes and they didnt seem to have a clue how to help us. Their selection was small as well. Mostly it seems like a ballet store.

My friend and I went into the store on Saturday looking for some Capezio Juliet leather dance shoes. Not a single person offered to help us and with all the shoes there, we couldnt find them at all. They do have a nice stock, but their service is lousy. I was very disappointed and they just lost a new customer.

We went in to just look however after talking to Sam we bought several things for our grandaughter. Sam is a warm, knowledgeable young lady and a pleasure to talk to.

They have different clothes, shoes and accessories for dance.
