I visited this store because I curious to see one of the few Sears left.What struck me looking around is how empty the place was. Half the hardware section walled off. Whole shelving units had only a few items on them. Cloths racks were spread out. Despite all that areas the size of an average bedroom were empty.It was also dirtier than it should be. There were scuffs marks on the tile floors and stains on the carpets no one had bothered to clean.It felt more like a flea market that took over an old Sears location than a Sears I remember visiting pre-2015.I did give it three stars because:1. Its still open despite the chain being on the verge of going under and the whole retail sector getting hammered by Amazon. Thats got to count for something.2. While the selection was limited, the prices, at least on mens clothing, were pretty good, I bought a few shirts.

Not much left in the store. We spent half an hour looking for someone who worked in appliances and gave up when we couldnt find anyone. Happily went to Lowes and had good selection and helpful staff - I wouldnt recommend going to Sears anymore which is a sad statement after they were a staple box store for so long.

Ordered dryer in 7/10/21 to be delivered on 7/17/21 which they charged me extra $10 for though I had no choice in delivery date. Also the time window was between 6:30-8:30pm on Saturday. Who in the world, delivered that late on a Saturday!!!!The driver called at 5pm to say they couldnt deliver the dryer today. After multiple attempts (4 reps and 3 hrs) with customer service the only date they could reschedule was 3 days out with no reparations. When I finally decided to cancel the order I couldnt get through to the appropriate customer service rep. I had to drive to the store AGAIN to get a refund. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM SEARS AGAIN, NOR SHOULD YOU.

Its like seeing a living T-Rex. Yes, its still open, for now. It looks like theyre in the process of closing down. Not much of anything in the store.

Not a big selection of dress clothes for women. Most clothes are athletic wear, legging type pants and fancy jogging clothes in the womens department.

Found a ton of clothes for dirt cheap.

Sears in Frederick is a great place to shop. Frequent, actual price reductions and helpful staff are the norm. The store is clean and fairly well laid out. As it is a smaller store, the selection is a bit limited but, I found adequate items in all price ranges.

Great products.Web site is very slow

Went to purchase tires. Selection was decent and people were helpful. My first choice was Sams Club, however they were constantly booked up. Sears was able to order my odd tire size in in less than 2 days and put them on the day they arrived. Sams Club had a wait list longer than a week and ended up costing more for the same tires.Also, being connected to the mall means you have something to do which is a save if you have kids.

I get to the store to buy stuff advertised online as in store only to find out they are out of stock. I was the 2nd person to walk in the door that morning after they opened

We got gift card from my husband manager at work when we had house warming. Never use the gift card. Come to the store at Frederick mall the manager store said the card been used. We have the receipt too. Why they are sale the bad gift card, who knew the card cam use or not people just give as a gift. Please never buy gift card from this store.

Loved this Sears. Was always clean and well stocked. All my online orders were on time and accurate. Staff friendly and helpful, I sure hope this store stays open.

Has the best deals!

Lots of bare shelves. Couldnt find the vacuum bag with the correct model number. Took something that looked close. Will find out later if its going back.

Thank goodness theyre going out of business. Smells like mold, and theres nothing in there. Id avoid it, theyre not even running good going out of business sales.

Love Sears, if u need a tool this has always been the place to go. They have a little bit of everything and I like going to a store to see and pick up something up before I purchase it. Friendly staff too This is a great location - not just the store, but the mall. Its sad that places like this are disappearing. Get out and support your local economy. You can get something to eat while youre there too.

This Sears has a strange layout over an enormous space. It can be hard to navigate to where you want to get to. Often times there are slim pickings when it comes to most apparel and electronics. There appliances section stands out the most and is obviously there main sellinf category. Overall a mediocre store. Tiles needs to get be replaced in the ceiling. General cosmetic issues that would make the store look much better if addressed.

Great support by Bruce in the Craftsman area. Nice, organized tool area. Picked up some good tools and got some discounts they are NOT closing this store so come on in.

Got great refrigerator at great price

Great selection of clothes, tools, and workout equipment as well as appliances. They don’t sell electronics any longer. And while they have a great rewards program, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Salespeople ignore and hide from me and my wife while looking to buy a spin bike. Ended up walking out and ordering it online for the deal, but wont be buying anything else there again....no surprise Sears will be the next long time retailer to close down which is sad, but understandable with their crappy in store service.

I placed an online order (several) and when I picked them up 2 of the items were wrong. The 2 guys who brought me my orders told me that they were out of the shirt in white so gave it to me in black and the shoes I placed the order for were out of stock and tried to pick a pair that were similar...lol I returned both items and the lady at the register was incredibly kind and helpful. Overall everyone was very helpful and kind.

+5*: Aint Sears great (tools, clothes, etc.)?-2*: The auto center (oil change only thing recommended here) phone just rings and rings. Wheres Linda? She kept the place in line but may not be there anymore which is a big L for this place.

Had ordered a replacement garage door opener on line. I checked in at the pickup counter and it was brought out in less than 5 minutes. Great service.

Always have loved Sears. Great tool selection. And overall always have what I need.

Service has steadily declined over the yearsI wouldnt be surprised if this location was on the list of stores to close for how the staff seems to get less & less each time I visitIt isnt a bad store, if they had staff. More staff could be better service & attention to detail

The keyless shop was great

I bought a Craftsman torque wrench and 6 sockets (3 deep and 3 regular) here. I knew I only needed 3 sockets, but wasnt sure if needed deep or regular. I needed a 250 ft/lbs wrench, but when I got home I saw the wrench was 250 inch/lbs. 2 months later when my wife had time to return the items, Sears would not take them, telling us that they had a strict 30 return policy.... would not budge... did not care. IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT 30 DAYS ON THE RECEIPT. WHAT???? TERRIBLE POLICY. Will buy all my tools from Advanced Auto in future.

We visited here Saturday...If you go to this location and are in the market for appliances, ask for Gigi. Although the customer service folk on the phone dont know what theyre doing, she was helpful and very kind. Also the other sales associates in the store wouldnt even speak, let alone help us. They would stare at us or look off. She was the only one who approached us to help us purchase our stove. Even when we went over by the tools, the guy over in that area wouldnt speak or help. I do not understand the deficiency in customer service at this store. We rarely get good service here, but Gigi changed all that. The only reason I give this store 3 stars is due to the combination of good and bad service.

Its the Christmas season and you can barely find an open register. I finally found one with only six people in it. The cashier was incredibly slow, so it took 20 minutes while he badgered each person about getting a Sears card. I also had to listen to him belligerenty and loudly call anyone to the left of Donald Trump stupid. Dude needs to be fired.

I went looking for freezers & they have good inventory.People are very helpful.

Had wonderful service from this lovely girl Steff, I needed to find curtains and she helped me out, great attitude. When I was buying tools, the associate, Sebastian was super knowledgeable. I finally checked out with a girl named Sam she was super friendly and quick.

Used to be decent now its just a mess. They have signs for items at great prices. THen when you find an employee and ask for them they are out of stock. My experience has been you have a 50% chance of advertised items being available. Unless youre saving a significant amount save yourself the wasted time. Its a shame that Sears Senior management is just letting this business die slowly.

I remember the early 2000s when people still went to this Sears. Now its mostly dead. The only good thing is the Auto Center and Craftsman tools. The rest of the store is far behind other department stores like Macys or JCPenny.

Lets admit it, this store will be closing soon. Nothing stocked few summer items.

Great experience. Noone wants to deal with a flat tire replacement, but Subiel Usman made it a pretty painless and easy experience. He has a great sense of customer support and making sure the customer leaves happy.

Incompetent staff. Everyone you ask for something you need they all say I don’t know. The last man I asked for assistance said if you want wait you if not I’m helping another customer and he really wasn’t. Lazy unprofessional staff works here. Took my business to Best Buy.

There needs to be a 0 star option. First time I took my car there they said it needed new tie rod ends and that they couldnt do the alignment because of it. Took it to 2 other shops for opinions and the tie rod ends were fine. Got the alignment done elsewhere. Second time I took it there they did the alignment (still had same tie rod ends) and mounted new tires. 1 week later the coil spring slipped off of the strut slicing open my brand new tire. I never had an issue before I took my car there. Now Im left with a massive headache and money lost.

Zero stars!!!The shift supervisor (Brooklyn) on Thanksgiving day was very unprofessional. she did not honor the sale tags that were marked on 3 racks. She kept removing the sale tags as I showed her and trashed them. She even refused to serve us at checkout . She sent us to another associate and kept checking out other customers.At checkout Another associate clearly told us that since those sale tags were on 3 racks that he will check with the manager and see if she will honor the sale Prices and when he asked she clearly said to him I will not do it for those peopleNow on Thanksgiving night there are 3 racks still without any price tags and this way Sear lost a lot of business .Rest of the staff were very good and helpful. Feel sorry for the staff, they are supervised by such a horrible manager !!!!IF YOU SEE BROOKLYN WORKING ON THE FLOOR DONT ASK HER FOR HELP!!!

I went to the Sears in Frederick yesterday because I saw where they were having a Memorial Day sale for military for this weekend. I read online that lawn mowers were 5% off and military gets double discount (which makes it 10% off). When I go to check out, the woman tried giving me the discount but was unsuccessful. She then told me that there was no deal on the lawn mower. I asked if she could contact a manager to take it off because thats the reason why we went to Sears. She called the manager and then told me that there was no deal on the lawn mowers. They did nothing to keep my business and could not take off $12 on a $250 mower. I called customer service and she told me I should have gotten 10% off. So she called the store manager and the manager argued with me saying I could not get the 10% off. I told her I could go to Home Depot or Lowes and get an everyday 10% discount. So I went to Lowes and ended up getting a more expensive mower. Sears has lost my future business over $12.

The help was wonderful but the store is rather small .

I will miss Sears and the sales. It has never been the same since merging with K Mart. The quality reputation of Kenmore is gone and Craftsman has moved on.

Terrible I will never buy anything from this store ever again. I purchased appliances from them 2weeks ago paid for installation, the installation company scheduled to install the appliances on the 13 of march and they never showed up I called them to find out why they didnt come&I the manager name Leila was very rude and unprofessional told me that there is not reason they just change like that and she hand up the phone on me. This is how sears treat their customers. I am really disappointed

Asked for repair on my fridge. The whole experience has been horrific! Run away from Sears repairs and since they are in bankruptcy its a nightmare to get any service due to problems.

Excellent Service. The department Manager Jason and Sales Rep Steve McDonald were knowledgeable and attentive employees. First off, Steve pulled me back in the door a day after because he let me know of certain items I would desire after listening to my needs. Once I go there the second day, I had a lot of questions. Probably kept him busy and the manager for over 3 hours depending on the questions that arose. In the end, they were answered on the newer products. It must be noted, that I had come to the store several times before in previous months, always receiving knowledge which led to the following: purchase of the new pro series Craftsman mower; kits and attachments; and warranty that covered appropriate items (e.g. on a clearance log splitter and mower). Personally, I have been to many different stores and received very little knowledge or support. In addition, I like to build a relationship with the reps of the business, since I buy from who I trust and get the best service. These employees were great at this store, for this type of product. I love the Home Depot or Lowes, but if you are going for a garden tractor, Sears in Frederick MD is the place to go...not all Sears are like this, lol. I recently bought a fridge from there as well from JoAnne I believe her name was (had a small hiccup after delivery on the fridge, taken care of well by manager of that department too). Another good store rep. Nowadays, it is nice to have good service. Last, it is important to note that it is important to be able to communicate with a buyer, Steve and Jason both had stories that could relate to my situation; making it increasingly comfortable to make a large purchase.

Tool Department is un-friendly. They would not even talk to me about my Craftsman 12T bottle jack that was leaking. I was not amused.

The selection is getting smaller and smaller, probably because theyre going out of business soon.
