I think I am in love with this place. This exemplifies the reason to shop local. The Canyon acoustic pedal I bought yesterday is incredible, and I learned so much while I was there for 40 minutes than I have in 12 months (to be expected but still the fact that they are nice enough to tell you speaks volumes). I was disappointed that when I called and even before I could mention the name of the book, the representative was like “no...we don’t do anything with school bands”. It was not for a school band, but thanks for not listening.

This store has a wonderful selection of guitars, many 3/4 (traveling) size in a variety of prices. The clerk was very attentive, answering all our questions. The prices were better than Amazon for the same instrument. I really liked my time in this store. It is well worth the visit.

This place is the best in the tri state area!! I brought in my Fender Stat to be repaired. It had an enormous paint chip in it, that was an almost impossible repair without stripping it down and re-painting it, as well as other problems. Needed major TLC. Make n music restored this beauty and had my guitar the best feeling its been in years. I highly recommend Make n Music and will only be taking my instruments here to be worked on in the future!!

I only give three stars to this place because of one person, RICK! If you do not know the music gear language he WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! Every person who helped me there was fair and welcoming except him. Went in to have an acoustic guitar repaired and was called with an original quote for $400. I said yes, two days later I am, not called, but emailed a price for $550-575, which one is it rick? I decided I needed to get a new guitar and wanted to trade in some gear to be able to afford it. Rick proceeded to offer me $70 for a Ibanez sound gear bass that is being sold used for anywhere from 280 to 350 used.... Rick also told me he would give me $70 for a vocal harmony pedal but, somehow, at the counter the offer had been reduced to $60. He also offered me his special “box” price for some strings, which is just the regular price but phrased in a way to make people think they are saving. I also had to remind rick to return my damaged guitar to me and when I did so he raised his voice and replied “oh you mean the one that was completely destroyed?” As a way to belittle me. On top of all that, he did not return my input jack to me, son now I get to go back and see him one more time. If you go to makin’ music, talks to anyone except rick. He is the shorter, overweight bald gentleman that seems to take enjoyment from taking advantage of uninformed customers.

Make N Music is one of the best Guitar stores in the entire state!! I went in just to browse around and after speaking to the owner not only did I buy my Guitar he was able to help me out in many other ways. This is a store to visit I would totally recommend this Make N Music store anyone Looking to upgrade in instruments or getting into fit for the first time I would look no further!!

Very helpful staff havent taken lessons yet but considering it. I just bought my first drum set the staff was very patient with me while I tried to decide what I wanted to buy and helpful in providing information about products . I definitely recommend this place if you want to buy an instrument or just browsing through everything.

Im a pretty active DJ, with not a lot of free time to dive into as much of the tech do-it-yourselves as I should. Thankfully, for years and YEARS, the staff here have been my secret weapon when Im in a pinch, and need some speaker rentals, and the repairs couldnt be more efficient and honest!

Based on reviews I thought it would be a good place to have easy adjustments to my guitar. I dropped it off, didnt hear anything for a week and a half. I called to have the tuning set to drop d which luckily he was just starting to work on it and told me to pick it up in 2 days. I go into pick it up and unfortunately paid while opening the case so as the card was going through I noticed a ton of issues. He threw strap locks into the case, charged me for it even though I said I wanted the stock buttons installed by him since I havent found strap locks that last. I bought strings prior, bit yet he charged me again like I never bought them even though they dont carry that brand. I notice the guy left plastic that I asked for him to gett off from when I boufht the guitar that stuck by being underneath the plastic cover gor the humbuckers that requires strings taken off. He put the strings on but he tunef it for e standard when I spoke to him directly prior to him working on it. That makes the adjustments to the truss rod pointless and he cut so much slack of the strings that it is impossible to put into drop d. Also losr screws to plastic pickup cover. I had to leave and was fed up by this point and he tellsme to wait an hour or two fix the issues. I have a life, I have places I need to be and its not my fault he had two weeks to get it correctly. i will never go to this place again and would never trust this guy to fix a guitar. Stay away, even id it was done properly it would have been overpriced.
