This location is so much better then the mount airy location when it comes to buying feed. I usually have issues buying the feed I want and have to order it but this SS always has it in stock. I will drive the extra 12 minutes from now on.

I have had a Less than ideal experience with them so far. I called and left a message as well as emailed them. On a Monday onWednesday I called and emailed again. A woman emailed me back. Told me she was sorry about the confusion. I gave them the opportunity to give me another company ton service me if they we over whelmed or unable to. They reassured me that that would be able to take care of a tank install and inspection of 2 gas logs. They have been around for a long time so I took their word that this was a misstep. They emailed and told me they would be there the following Monday or Tuesday . Then then contacted me Friday to let me know They would Be here Tuesday. So I waited at house all day Tuesday and sure brought they never came. Very disappointing. I called and they said ohh don’t know why the no called no showed. I went ahead and contacted another company. If they are able to get back to me and have a person before southern state’s I will write a positive response for the other company. I will update as this unfolds.Update 5 hours later not even a phone call from them.

Clean, well stocked store that doesnt feel like everythings crammed into a small space. Associates are very friendly and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. Ditch Lowes, Home Depot and Wal-Mart and shop at this SS!

We drive past 3 other farm stores and 35 minutes away just to shop at this Southern States! They are extremely friendly and helpful. I ask some pretty off the wall questions because this is my first time farming. They usually have the answer right away. If they dont know the answer, they know exactly who would know. The men are always willing to help me carry my feed but are very polite when I tell them I can do it. They will gladly do it on the days when I just dont want to lift anymore heavy bags.

Feeds a little high for the quality you receive. The cashiers are dry but so are FCA the Southern States head quarters say they sell acorn but they dont lots of net things to buy other than feed.

They have the biggest (Early) Mums in town for 5.99 right now! Love the fact you resell broken bags of mulch for a discounted price! Will be back!

Great friendly staff people! I call and ask then questions and they are happy to help or find someone who can. They have all the horse feed and supplements I need and are usually well stocked. Also excellent bird food selections!

If you are a farmer or someone who loves the outdoors this is the place for all your needs! Purchasing baby chicks to add to our flock. Love Southern States!

This store carries everything - we have gotten chicks here for years. The staff is incredible - most helpful, hard working, sincerely kind folks you could find anywhere. Stores & employees like this are the heart and soul of America! Makes you happy just to go there.
