Holy cow what soda dont they have? If you have a favorite soda and cant find it here Im pretty sure its not made. They have an awesome selection of candy to boot. But, the ice cream is what I came here for. The coffee milkshake is delicious!The staff is super cool and really outgoing. You have to visit the North Market Pop Shop you wont be disappointed.

This shop is an absolute gem of quality. The ice cream is other-worldly in flavor, texture, and sheer culinary excellence. The staff is competent, friendly, and moreover, they love their work. I had a banana split today. The creator respectfully requested that she take an image of it with her cellphone. She was that proud of her work, and justifiably; it was a culinary masterpiece presented beautifully, with the best imaginable ingredients. I would give this little shop six stars, if they were available.Another great aspect of this shop is that they offer vegan varieties of ice cream that are as excellent as the dairy-based products.

A standout store in an area filled with standout stores. The North Market Pop Shop rises above the rest and is a great location for all ages. If you are a soda aficionado in the Maryland area, it is a must stop. You can get almost any soda made in America here, so if you have one on your list you could probably find it here.

I LOVE this place, I go out of my way to stop here when Im in downtown Frederick. Was very happy to see the place had expanded a bit since I went last (Its been over a year since Im not local). Still the great and diverse selection of pop, extremely friendly and easy going staff (thanks for that Elderflower soda recommendation, my wife loved it!), and just awesome atmosphere. This place is also very respectful of the current pandemic guidelines, and I loved seeing outdoor seating options as well!

Vegan selection is awesome and the vegan ice cream is really good. Like all the different types of pops they have here and also like their hot dogs as well. Always welcoming service too.

Goofy packaging resulted in box of soda received with multiple opened bottles of root beer destroying entire order. Cant return order due to soggy box, plus dont want to be charged PHONY restocking fee for them destroying entire order. Beware on line ordering from this company.

Fun selection of throwback style sodas and candy. The ice cream is amazing. So cold. Like, perfectly cold. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The candy is sugared perfectly. Great place for a date or just to treat yourself to sweetness. Totally going again. I still can’t believe how amazing their refrigerators worked. Like, the sodas were so perfect. Wow. Amazing.

Very fun store. Henry also have a lot of novelty candy, and made to order coffee and ice cream treats.

Hidden gem of Frederick - unique ice-cream, sundaes, retro pop, candy, etc.; wide variety and decent prices

They have an abundance of novelty sodas available, including some that are chilled. You can make your own six pack to take. The issue is that a majority of the sodas we check dates on are well expired, even ones at the very front and in the chilled part. Almost all of them we tried were flat too. It was at the point to which we ended up taking some expired ones because we couldnt find six solid ones in date.

Really great ice cream and waffle cones. We visited here on Sunday and that customer service is kind. Had the Butter Pecan on Waffle cone, super good!! Would get again. My daughter got Vanilla and she liked it as well 😊

Great selection of unique and craft sodas. Great ice cream also! They have recently expanded their seating area so lots of room to get out of the heat and enjoy a cold soda or ice cream (without it melting in the sun).

They offer Vegan ice cream and other snacks, which allows my lactose intolerant self to enjoy with my friends. Otherwise, its just you awkwardly watching your friends eat ice cream you cant enjoy.

What a fun shop! We were wandering Fredericks main street when we passed this and we saw milkshakes. What we found was a novelty soda pop shop that just happens to have ice cream.

Very good selection of sodas. Friendly employees. Sloppy Joes were very low quality. Tasted like some cheap chilli sauce on a bun. Pricing is my main complaint. Apparently some sodas are considered premium and come with an additional .75 cents charge per bottle. This would be fine if the premium sodas were labeled as such in the store. But it’s a pet peeve of mine to not know what I’m going to be charged. I had 42 bottles and none were marked as premium in the store but I was up charged for 5. I asked the cashier how a customer is to know which bottles are premium and she just said she knew. Ok seems a little shady. Otherwise a good shopping experience

Im from out of town and two of the sodas which Ive had trouble finding were in stock in the store. 1919 Rootbeer and IRNBRU.

Such a colorful establishment! They have fun and delicious ice cream and a HUGE variety of pop(soda). Ive never seen so much! Everytime we visit we try a different one, and get ice cream! Their utensils and ice cream cups are compostable too! Definitely a must visit if you are ever in Frederick.

Quaint little soda shop downtown, here. Its good for a visit every so often. Sometimes you just need a soda other than the regular. And when you do, this is the place to go. Very nice atmosphere, lovely people working there and very clean and organized. I love it every time, personally. Very good selection of sodas, they have ice cream and hot dogs and such, as well. Prices arent bad for a shop of this type, at all. Very nice pop shop, to this date.

North Market Pop Shop has the best soda selection Ive ever seen. I recently visited them after not having been in several months. They have the window set up for ordering now due to covid, which is both safer for everyone and very convenient. I felt bad for listing off the 24 different sodas I wanted, but the employee was super nice and had no issues writing down and boxing up my whole order.My biggest mistake was that I forgot to also order a hot dog. They have really good hot dogs.

What a great shop! I ordered the Harry Potter Survival Kits for some folks who are in the midst of the stay-at-home order and they loved it. Its the perfect gift.

Every person who works here is always so nice and has a smile on their face. They have wonderful hot chocolate and hot dogs. The pops are so fun to browse, and when Frederick has a great selection of beers the pop shop is a nice mom alcoholic alternative if you want a fun drink.

This place has been on my to do list for ages. Finally made it for a quick stop for ice cream and to pick up a gift. Great place, will definitely be back. Wonderful selection of sodas, but i had kind of expected that. Did not expect the large variety of other local made goodies, candies, etc. Great place for an easy gift.

Ive never been here for the ice cream, but I can say without a doubt this is one of the largest soda selections I have ever seen. Every time Ive walked in hear Ive seen sodas that I have never heard of before. My only critique (largely because Im from out of state) is that its a little pricier than I would like, but Im still comfortable buying a six pack here any time Im in the area!

Great speciality shop featuring what must be the largest selection of soda you can ever imagine. From retro to new craft made high quality soda in any combination of flavors possible. Also serves hot dogs, ice cream some candy and snacks. Limited inside seating and a few tables outside. Highly recommended to stop for a soda and snack. Often very busy, however the line moves fast. Located near many other shops and restaurants.

Today was the 1st time visiting this store. I wasnt disappointed. They had so many types and flavors of soda youve never heard of in most supermarkets. They had mustard flavored, apple pie flavored, peanut butter and jelly favored, moxie, cheerwine and so many more. I wish there were other locations closer to where I live. When Im in Frederick, I will definitely stop thru.

Oh my, was I surprised and overwhelmed in here...in a good way! There were so many choices of different, unique sodas. Was a place I will definitely have return to. Many new things to try!
