Antiquities unique and fine linens. A source for the rich and famous.
There are several shops that Carol Bolton Hicks operates in Fredericksburg, Texas. I had read magazine articles describing her shop in the past and when I found myself in the area, I had to visit. The amount of inventory is amazing. There are antiques, home decor, linens, furniture, architectural salvage, European antiques, and a whole lot more. The stores are high end and come with high price tags. Although I did not purchase any items, its a great place for inspiration.
I have been a fan of Carol for almost 20 years. She was doing shabby chic and urban farmhouse long before some of todays celebrity designers. She is a visionary and genius in decor. Her antique store is over the top fabulous. Prices are very reasonable. I purchased a beautifully distressed antique mirror and some Bella Notte pillows. They are just exquisite. Worth the 6 hour round trip. Ill be back.
They have beautiful things here. That being said, nobody working there was wearing a mask during our recent visit. Also, the lady was quite short with me. When I told her I was just browsing, she aggressively demanded to know specifically what I was looking for. I prefer to shop in places that care about customer safety and have friendlier staff.
Fascinating collection of antiques, including European. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to get character pieces to warm and beautify the home. A treasure of a discovery for us. We will be back.
Wonderful antique shop. Carol has a wide selection of French and European antiques that she personal travels around the world to collect. Great staff.
Beautiful place- I was literally having visual overload from just all the amazing pieces & unique finds! Most of the items were WAY out of my budget but not everything & I did find a old model ship to take home. This is definitely a designers paradise- if your looking for a conversation piece/architectural object/unique find this is where you’ll find it.
Awesome place with many old European antiques. Have to make time to explore and you will find great items. Staff was very friendly and courteous (Carlos). Owner, Tim Bolton, was very helpful. Left with a trunk and stool. Very pleased with purchases and price!
Lots of unusual items beautifully displayed. Great place to browse. Huge selection. Prices what youd expect in a touristy area.
This place is interesting. It is big, can be dusty with stuffed animals and lots of light brown decor/furniture and white gauzy linen. Basically lacks any evidence of color. It is a cornucopia of stuff and to the untrained eye looks a lot like junk. I guess those people who have money to burn in their pockets could find gems in here... somewhere. For me, I just wanted to get out of there.
This is one of our places we go to everytime we go to fb. You have to go on Saturday if youre there for the weekend because they are closed on Sundays. They have all kinds of neat imported items mostly European, and weve found little treasures to bring home each time we visit. Its a really neat place to walk around and many times we enjoy just trying to figure out what an item is before checking the tag! Its really a neat place!
Excellent place to enjoy vintage antiques
Hands down, favorite place!! Love the styling of the store and all it’s offerings. Can’t wait for my furniture order to arrive. Carlos was great help and insight. The. Bolton Family recreated Fredericksburg’s image starting 25 plus years ago. They literally are responsible for Fredericksburg being a destination and subject of countless articles in Southern Living and other mags.
Large selection with Large prices..lol. Great for decorating. 🤑
Very unique antiques from France. Kinda pricey but one of a kind items!
Place is amazing. Great service and plenty of great items to make any place extraordinary.
Wow ! Ginormous Gigantopithicous Gargantuan Knarly Bigley Selection of Special stuff almost Anywhere ! Must see
Best place ever
Totally unexpected...beautifully displayed items, almost like being in another world.Perfect for the designer world!
Incredible pieces. If you are shopping for antiques in Fredericksburg, make sure Carol Hicks is on your short list! Plan for at least 2 hours. This place is 3 huge buildings filled with many European antiques. There is a restaurant in one of the buildings that is great as well. We purchased a huge antique retail display case and an old french barber dresser/mirror. We visited every store in Fredericksburg. This one is by far the largest. The prices are in the mid to upper end of the other antique stores in Fredericksburg, but prices are fair for the quality and condition of what you will find.
WIted for ghost to come out of theeeLly old stuff
Love this place! Best selection in Texas.
Wow, better than a museum....
Really cool place.
Very very expensive. Prices do not match value of pieces.
Lots of great finds!
Treasures are found here every time.
Seriously?? Old and pseudo old, overpriced...bewildering.
Highly over rated.
