Bought a vehicle from this dealership a month ago. To be honest I was really questioning if I want to go with a Used car dealership. I have always bought my vehicles from franchise only. But when I looked at the reviews for JDM I decided to them a shot and I am glad that I did! I felt that their salespeople were more professional than of a big franchises. The whole process was really smooth and all necessary disclosures were made before hand. I will be buying all my vehicles from this dealership now!!!

My experience: I bought a European-make vehicle essentially completely remotely from this dealership from out of state and took the car home to my home state. Ive had the car for a month at the time of this writing. Heres a thorough review. Five stars based on the buying experience alone, would probably give them a 4.5 if Google reviews allowed.The service: Excellent with a small hiccup. Rose and the team always picked up my calls, responded to my text messages and emails... They were very diligent and thats something that a lot of dealers get wrong. They honored my deposit, sent paperwork with expediency. They recommended an inspection service for a non-lifted PPI and let the inspector do their job. All of the things youd expect a good dealer to do, they did it and did it well. The only hiccup was that they neglected to include an important piece of paperwork in the documentation when I left with the car - nothing that would prevent me from driving it, but that would have caused some headaches down the line. They caught it and took care of it quickly, but it did happen.The car: Pretty good, but with lots of deferred maintenance. I had one major item done by their service shop before delivery and they recommended parts to use, no complaints there and the price for the job was fair. I believe the price I paid for the car was fair as well. After bringing the car home Ive put a lot of additional work into maintenance items, but no major tow-in repairs. I bought the car understanding that this maintenance would be needed but I underestimated just how much it needed, and there are still some minor annoyances that will need to be addressed in the future.Thats the thing - this dealership has a lot of crazy-interesting inventory. They have lots of hatchbacks and wagons, and thats very rare. I bought my car because I wanted it. As a general note, when you are considering purchasing a vehicle that is around 10-12 years old from a European make, you need to make sure you understand that you WILL be putting money into maintenance items right away, as these kinds of cars are often traded in when their owners no longer wish to spend European car money on maintenance, sent to auction, and then bought by dealers such as this one. I dont believe at all that the dealer was malicious or even close to it... Its par for the course for pretty much any European car of this vintage, so keep that in mind.I would absolutely consider JDM Auto again based on the buying experience alone. Thanks so much!

They give you space to fully inspect their cars, but were absolutely inflexible on price even after we pointed out $1200+ of essential repairs required to be fully road-worthy. Didnt buy, wouldnt recommend due to their shady practice or denying readily apparent damage and mechanical faults.

I don’t know about the other staff but I went today to test drive a car while we were test driving the car the employee gets mad because I accelerated the car. What is the point of a test drive if I can’t check the car the way I want and I actually liked the car but because the employees rude behavior I got the heck outta there, so please treat your customers better.

Be careful with this place. Within just a few minutes, I found 5 things wrong with the vehicle. (I am a mechanic & shop owner) The vehicle HAD been in at least 1 accident even though they said the carfax came back clean. Upon presenting these issues, I had asked if the price of the car would reflect the issues presented to them, they told me Theres nothing we can do about the price 😅😅 Mind you, they were asking $700+ above KBB!! Also, they would not let me take it to my shop to inspect underneath. Very very sad how these dealerships can rob people blind. Had I not known any better, I would have over paid for a car that had several issues.

I must say I waited one month before I left this review but I wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase.I took this vehicle for Maryland state inspection and had no issues in getting it inspected. I received my hard tags and title on time. I will recommend JDM AUTO to all my family and friends.

Went in to this place looking at a mustang they had. Was told I need to make an appointment.No other customers were in the office at this time. When I asked about the mustang, the young man who never introduced himself was very short with me. He said he could show me the car but the price is the price no negotiation. KBB has the car listed at fair market price from a dealer between $6500 and $7500 they want $9500 for a 15 year old car. And there is visible damage on the rear quarter panel where the gas gap is. I have the money on me to buy the car right then, and this very young man turns me down. Don’t think I’ll ever go there again! Good luck

BUYER BEWARE! Absolute crooks. Our needed a complete new engine the day after it was purchased . The owner, Sabor, said he would take care it if we removed the bad reviews. We did as requested. He then changed his mind and said he would do nothing. He still has our car and says he never agreed to fix it!!! Run very fast from this thief. The owner has a record of altering titles/ registrations and illegally selling a vehicle!!!!

Ive been shopping around for a while looking for a nice Tiguan. I have a sedan but needed the extra space for my little boy. Cant even remember how many dealerships we visited, but Finally! Grateful to say, Ive found my Tiguan at JDM auto! As soon as I got here I had a good feeling I was going to buy a car here. Not only was the Tiguan in excellent condition, but the staff here made me feel so comfortable. Not at all a sales environment. The owner spent a lot of time with me explaining to me about VWs. He had a ton of VWs on his lot and I could tell he knows a lot about German engineering. This was probably the biggest reason I purchased my Tiguan from them. Extremely satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend this dealership to everyone!

Edit 2: the dealer was able to reach out to me regarding the mechanical issues I found stated below. He did apologize for any financial constraint and wanted to address they would not of sold the vehicle if they knew there was issues with it, he was also able to repair my sway bar links that were broke but all other repairs I had done on my own time.Grateful they reached out to address the issues, again I STRONGLY recommend having any vehicle you may buy from here inspected yourself before sale.Edit: I decided to change review post purchase after taking the vehicle for a post purchase inspection and noticing a few mechanical faults that should of been addressed before sale.Had to have both front struts replaced within 2 weeks of buying as one was blown out.I also had to have a broken ball joint replaced.Both of these issues are of little cost to a dealer to replace as OEM parts are cheap and labor for their mechanics is not much compared to having a purchaser get the work done by a mechanic post purchase.If contemplating buying from this Dealer please be sure to do a pre-purchase inspection or do you research prior to decision making.Went to take a look at a Mazda at this dealership and ended up buying after seeing it and working with them.Staff is very friendly and down to earth, did not feel pressured to make any impulse decisions on purchasing.Total process was painless and easy.Dealer also included a free battery with purchase for the vehicle as it needed a new one.

This place cleans up the exterior of a car really nice. But watch their demeanors and hear their excuses and rejections when you ask them to let your mechanic examine the vehicle. I went in yesterday (Saturday), and found a car that at first seemed to meet my needs; looked nice, was well kept (interior cabinet, exterior, tires, etc.), drove nice, etc. However, when I looked under the hood, I immediately saw rust everywhere (see attached photo), I became leery of the flood epidemic that has infected so many used cars for sale that are being passed off by scam dealerships as clean. I told Umer I liked the car, but am concerned about the rust under the hood, and asked that my mechanic inspect the entire vehicle that day; especially underneathe. It was a Saturday at 10AM; I was there before Umer and his crew. Umer told me that I couldnt get it inspected that day because I hadnt made an appointment (huh?). And although I left my 2015 Toyota Avalon there, and offered my license, he would not let me take the car out their site. He insisted on being with me during the test drive (?). I made Umer an offer pending an inspection from my mechanic, and a $295 deduction for consideration of the rust, and minus payment of that ridiculous $395 processing fee (WTH is that?); other than that, I offered the full asking price. Umer came back an hour later and said they would take $200 off the price of the car, if I voided the 3 months warranty Lol. I believe this ridiculous offer was a way to get rid of me because of my insistence on my mechanic inspecting the vehicle. So, people, it would behoove you to get any vehicle youre considering buying from JDM inspected by a neutral and disinterested mechanic to save yourself misery later. They dont want you to see the rust and leaking gaskets that will doom your car in the near future. JDM is only interested in getting your money; and if VAs law didnt say they had to give you the 3-month warranty, they wouldnt; they want nothing to do with you once their vehicles leave that lot. Be careful.

We dropped by to check the cars we were interested in. They told us that they do appointments only for now, still thankful since we were accommodated. We were planning to check atleast three cars. The first car that he showed us has some problems, but we were still thinking to test drive it. We changed our mind since it will take their time, considering we didnt have an appointment with them. We asked if he can show us the other two and from there, maybe we can choose which to test drive. He said I have to do all the paperwork all over again. So much for being a salesman. We walked away. We understand about the social distancing and there will be restrictions or limitations, but the attitude or willingness to help, youll get nothing from him. It is just his job to show the cars to you. As we walk away, he gave us a calling card and asked us to make an appointment. It is unlikely that we will go to the store if he is the one who will take care of us. Who would like to be treated that way? I hope the management knows this issue because as I checked the reviews, we arent the first. P.S. There are no other customer in the shop, so why?Edit review: Thank you for responding and making it our fault that we requested to check another car. It truly justified how we were treated. Regardless of the policy (which he didnt inform us), his attitude sucks.

My daughter was looking to buy her second car, and was specifically looking for a Civic Si. We went up into NOVA and check two different newer ones at big brand name dealers, only to find that the cars were not in great condition and the standard sales tactics in play. JDM, when we called, agreed to stay a bit so we could make it down there. The car they had was a bit older, with more miles, but thousands less and in much better condition and a much better CarFax report. Very helpful, very accommodating. If you arent gonna negotiate prices on your vehicles then the least you could do is price them fairly... seems almost every vehicle on the lot is priced 1000$-$1500 above the kbb value not a very good way to keep business in my opinion

It wasn’t at all in good condition but in worst one. The girl that work there is very professional but the person that check the car is not.Personally, I am very disappointed.

I like the car I bought here, and it passed a first time Maryland inspection with no issues, but I thought it was odd that the title had to be mailed to me two weeks later, and I literally got across the street after buying and opened the windows, but one did not operate at all. I drove right back into the lot to mention it. The attitude was, Sorry, its yours now. Not the way to encourage repeat business.

I just drove 1.5hrs from out of state fully prepared to purchase a vehicle from here. It looked pristine online so I was prepared to pay a little more than what it was worth compared to similar cars like that one. When I arrived the car was COVERED with deep scratches that will not buff out and some small dents all over the vehicle. I called about this car 3x in the days leading up to my trip down here and nothing was said about the very poor condition of the paint. So I just wasted 3hrs on my day off for this. They offered to take 500 off of the 6500 asking price which is still way too much for a car with that much paint damage. Needless to say I am beyond angry.

I would love to recommend this dealer name JDM Autos located in Fredrick, Va. I bought one family car Toyota Camry 2007 love it. When I went to look for the car the sales person was very knowledgeable about what his selling me. Also when I come up to sign up the papers it took me 25 mins to close the deal. Love my car. This is family own business their making through out every single day to make it better for their clients to buy nice and clean autos for long run. Their customer service over all I would say five out of five. Small dealer reasonable price to afford for all also quick and fast paper work. They finance all. Bad credit, good credit no problem. Their cars smooth and very clean again.

Best part is they are not pushy towards purchasing a vehicle until you are fully satisfied. Customer service lacks here! I get you own your business however being kind and making someone feel welcome should be their first priority. Went to look at a vehicle and ended up needing maintenance the rear brakes were worn unevenly so may have passed inspection on the side they checked but the other side was on a pass/fail basis. The owner said it passed inspection and would charge to replace. Not to mention that service intervals were maintained except timing belt and water pump ( over by 15 thousand miles) said they would charge to replace. In my eyes if your selling a vehicle you should always make the buyer feel welcome not talk to them like they are low lives. On that note I do not recommend this dealership or if you do, do your homework people.

They judge the book by its cover, they assumed I was there just to play around and test drive because I’m under 21. When really I just lost a car and I’m very serious about purchasing. Also they said I most likely don’t have credit because of my age.

Even though we didn’t end up purchasing a vehicle through JDM we had a very positive experience. We were given plenty of time to check out the car without being hassled and all of our questions were answered truthfully. I wanted to take the car for a pre purchase inspection and they were very accommodating and even agreed to have their employee take the car there for me. Their cars are also in good condition and almost all have great Carfax history, I also like that you can see the full Carfax report on every vehicle through their website.

After an entire day of searching for trucks with results like we cant find the keys, the trucks not ready, we dont know and the always popular we cant finance you. Had a very positive experience with Omar at JDM Auto yesterday. In addition the manager was willing to work with us on price and was accommodating regarding our methods of payment. After driving the 05 Mustang convertible home in the snow cant wait to put the top down. Great used vehicle at a very good value and very happy with the overall experience. I got a car from them last week. The price was very reasonable and I am happy with the cars performance. The best part is that the cars are checked by a mechanic and all inspections are complete, in addition to oil change and changed tyres. Saved me a lot of time as I did not have to get a 3rd party mechanic to inspect it. The service was good too !!

Worst service

I recently purchased my 2009 Honda Accord from JDM Auto. I have nothing but, good things to say about them. I went to the dealership, for their 2008 Toyota Camry, it was a clean car but not for me. They let me test drive few other cars, without any pressure to buy. The staff was very knowledgable professional and courteous. I wanted a fully loaded car with navigation. They found the perfect car for me and my family. We love the car, it has been running great.

JUST bought my car a month ago, already had to have my thermostat replaced and my air intake manifold was screwed up, even some cracked hoses. My mechanic even said that the car looked patched up to sell off quickly.. I just hope I can fix any more issues.. Since Im stuck with the car now.
