We apologize for this review being so late but we just found your business card. In October 2019, we had a tire blow out on the way to Richmond for a funeral. Virginia Auto Repair was so helpful in helping us get back on the road. The tire was beyond reparable but Virginia Auto Repair helped us put our spare tire on, and called local shops to help us find the exact tire we needed. If not for Virginia Auto Repair, we would not have made it to the funeral on time. They did everything they could so we could safely get back on the road. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful in our time of distress. Thank you again Virginia Auto Repair!!!

DONT GO HERE!! Extremely unprofessional, horrible mechanic shop. WORST ONE IN TOWN! Harassed me and my 3 daughters, grown men here dont know how to act like normal people. HORRIBLE STAFF!

Jay the mechanic stole items from my vehicle, my glasses, change and a little pocket knife. He also wrongly replaced the fuel pump when it was already working and charged me for the replacement, and they were arguing outside with customers using lots of profanity. DONT GO HERE!!!!

Warning. today I took my car to this mechanic shop for a state inspection. When the car came out for inspection, he told me that the windshield wipers were broken and I told him it was not possible because a few weeks ago before I bought them at Walmart and installed new ones them because they were broken. and he started to laugh and I told him that its was not a joke what I said and Besides, he told me that he needed new brakes in which I never saw him remove the tire to inspect the brakes and show me. He does just a visual inspection practically this inspector is not carrying out the state regulations he is taking a fraud and trying to make money on inspection fraud. Usually middle east people do thiss tipe of work of fraud. And Thiss people not wearing mask. and I also already made a complaint to the consumer affair.

Took a potential truck I was going to buy to Virginia Auto Repair to see if there was anything wrong with it. They saw my truck within 5 minutes of arriving. Within 60 seconds of lifting the truck they could tell it was junk and gave me a discount on the inspection. Robert is extremely nice and would definitely go back!

My technician, Jay, found an issue that I never would have even known about, but because they took thoughtful time and effort into repairing my car, my trust is with them 100%. I wish every repair shop was like this place.Drove from DC to VA Beach and back with a seized caliper, but did not know it until I pulled off coming back north on I95 to get gas (also using the Stafford exit to get around traffic) when I heard a grinding noise from the rear of my vehicle. I stopped and decided it would be best to have the shop check it out and see if I could make it the last 50 miles (spoiler alert: I couldnt). I walked in and was greeted by Rob, who was extremely busy, but promised to check my Jeep when he could. He came out only a few minutes later and saw metal to metal from my brake pad to my rotor and told me he would throw it up on the lift and check it out. He came back a few minutes later and told me Jay (the tech) was able to unseize the caliper but I desperately needed a new rotor and pad. We were quoted around two hours while we were promised that they would get us on the road as soon as possible and brakes are just easier to do both wheels at the same time anyway. I approved the work with the estimate I was given. What happened next is amazing...My girlfriend and I were waiting outside. She asked me if I knew when the parts would arrive. I told her we would most likely see a pickup truck pull up with a wholesalers logo on them pull up and then we would probably have to wait for another hour or so. As I finished the sentence, Jay pulled up with my Jeep after road testing it with two new rear pads and rotors. From the time I pulled in to get gas until the time we rolled out was 1 hour and 12 minutes. On top of that the price I was quoted and ended up paying was spot on, and probably the best quote for two brakes Ive ever received.In the last 48 hours, I have recommended this shop to everyone I know from Richmond to DC, letting most know in DC that its worth it to drive the hour south to get their work done here. I cant thank these guys for the honesty, the professionalism, and the care they provided for a passer through in desperate need of a repair that could have resulted in something catastrophic.The only request from the shop: Leave us an honest review.Rob and Jay, this is my honest review. I have been taking my 2020 Ford GT to Jay and his team, and let me tell you, they have done a fantastic job making sure my car is taken care of. I’ve been going to them for a few months and the results are awesome. I don’t know about you all, but I’m a very picky person with people working on my car. Working on my car is very complex because there is barely any room to work on my vehicle. Jay and his team were able to properly assemble every part/task I’ve given them in timely manner. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

Outstanding customer service and professionalism! I needed an emissions test and since I am new to the area I needed to find a reputable shop to get it done. I found Virginia Auto Repair based on Google positive Reviews and I have to say that I was not disappointed. From the moment that I arrived I was greeted by the manager Mr. Stacy Jones. Even though they were busy with other customers they were able to accommodate me and did not have to wait very long. After the test was completed Mr. Jones proceeded to explain to me how the emissions system in a vehicle worked. I was impressed with his knowledge and the manner in which he explained it, that combined with the excellent customer service will bring me back for my vehicle to be serviced in the future.

I have a warranty on my vehicle and I spent $1200 out of pocket at two other approved establishments before finally calling my third and final place!! Great auto repair shop! The techs and customer service were on point. I really appreciated how the manager showed me what was wrong with the car, after watching him draw out a picture to someone else to explain their issue and how it was fixed. Theyre accountable and up front about whats going on. I was given a lot of good advice on cosmetics and oils too, I felt comfortable to ask away...I was impressed with the service, price, and their hustle!

NEVER GO HERE FOR AN INSPECTION!!!!!, every time they will find something wrong they must need the business. I took my perfectly fine truck there for inspection, they failed it with a list of things. When I took it to my mechanic he said they would not have been able to see some of these things without removing tires which they did not I watched the whole time since I felt like they the last time they had failed my car when it should not have been. And some things didnt need repair at all. My truck has probably only been drive 2000 miles since the last inspection since it is just an extra vehicle. Now because it is in a state wide data I had to get things replaced anyways. $3000 and 14 days later a day under when I could take it back, I go to this shop and there is no inspector for 3 weeks. They were doing inspection knowing that if it failed they would have no way to complete the job.

They did a fantastic job on our vehicle which was done exactly on schedule as promised and to our absolute satisfaction. VAR is my place of choice for all of my vehicle repairs. The owner is honest and trustworthy. On my visit there yesterday, there was a stranded motorist travelling from NYC to Florida. Awesome service! The 2015 Ford Focus I had borrowed suddenly went into limp mode while traveling on I-95S the evening before Thanksgiving Day. My 5 star review was not only welcomed, but appreciated before. Id never leave a false review simply because things didnt work out, even if you did message me privately and threaten me. I was happy to leave a 5 star review when you were building an honest 5 star business. However, when you cheat your customers and charge them $400, the price of a brand new part, and put a $75 junk yard part in place or mix and match spark plugs to save yourself money instead of doing the work properly, that is not a 5 star business. No, I am not a customer. Watching the way you do business, I never will be. However, seeing the way things work behind the scenes leaves me in a better place to leave an honest review than a customer ever will.

I went in for a state & emissions inspection; my vehicle failed, but the auto shop didnt rob me on getting my vehicle in compliance unlike most places. Pricing is very fair! Additionally, great customer service! I will definitely be visiting again for other auto repairs.

I took my car in to this business if you can call it that a couple of times first time was for an oil change and got my car back dirty, so ok first time I decided to give them a second chance oil change number 2 they didnt put the cap back on and oil spilled on the motor. OK took it back a third time still trying to give them a chance to do better when I had the check engine light on they told me I needed a catalytic converter ok I went ahead and let them change it, few days later I was stranded on 95 because the converter broke in half leaving me to have my car towed, took it back in after he said that had never happened to him but sure enough I needed a new catalytic converter, few days after it being fixed AGAIN my check engine light came back on i went ahead and took it to Auto zone for diagnosis they said catalytic converter or oxygen sensors took it back in and they changed the sensors that was on a Saturday. Come Monday check engine light came back on apparently the sensors were no longer working after 2 days. Took it back in and they recharged the sensors. Few weeks later the catalytic converter again left me stranded with my 2 kids in the car. Took it back in this being the 5th time to have the part replaced once again. Take me back a few weeks later had to finally go to a different mechanic for a second opinion only to have the parts all redone because of the horrible job that was done. Jay wanted us to bring the car back in to have them fix the issue at this point I honestly didnt want them anywhere near my car as everyone can understand. I drive 60 miles each way a day to have all these things happen to me after we trusted someone to do their job. At the end all Jay has to say that they need to have my car to do anything as far as replacing what THEY DID WRONG. Not even a sorry or an acknowledgement for what they did wrong. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE WITH LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST OUT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.

I was heading to NC to see my Family. My daughter said she needed to use the rest room so I told the gps to find the nearest gas station. As I proceeded to the Liberty Gas station of Strafford everything was just fine. As soon as I turned into the parking lot my truck started to over heat. Long story short God out me at the right place at the right time, car overheated at a repair shop. I left my keys and note in the drop box and they called me the next morning and everything is great. Everyone was so polite and friendly. I definitely recommend Virginia Auto Repair!!!

This is the first auto repair shop I can trust to take care of my vehicle in the most efficient and cost effective way. I can trust them to make me aware of all the problems my car has, how they were caused, and the best way to fix them. All without ever lying about any part of the process in order to get more profit. I have happly decided to become a customer as long as can drive in to their lot.

When the axle seals in the rear of my Silverado went bad and the leaks contaminated all the brake linings, they got everything fixed up and cleaned up in a matter of hours, and for a very reasonable price. Im very pleased with their work.

I brought my Kia Optima in to have the wheel bearing replaced. I know a little about cars and have caught some auto shops doing shady stuff. Before my long drive down to Florida I took my Toyota Corolla here. My car was making a weird sound. They found it was the water pump pulley and fixed. If the sound went away right away. This place doesn’t try to scheme you to get more things done on your car than you have to. It was done for a good price too! I would 10/10 recommend this shop for all your car needs!

Had to have my Silverado 1500 towed here. Broke down on I-95 about 2pm even after waiting on the tow truck having it delivered and everything that needed done (wheel bearings, brakes, rotors and a CV Axle) we were still back on the road by 6:30pm Excellent service and upfront about everything.

I love VA Auto Service. Im a single female and so many shops have tried to take advantage of me and tell me that I needed work that I really didnt need. Tony and Munesh at Liberty are always honest and they even take me in the shop and show me what is wrong and make sure that I understand the problem and how it needs to be fixed. They even tell me how long I can go before I fix it. Ive been dedicated to them for 3 years now because I know they are honest and they do good work! Its almost impossible to find good, honest mechanics like them these days. #ImLoyal and I highly recommend them.

My car failed emissions, which was not a suprise to me. After I recived a diagnosis of the problem was quoted a $600 repair. Took it to my person machanic who diagnosed a single cracked rubber hose which he repaired for $100 total. Took it back to get reinspected. If you call it say they are open on Sunday from 11-2. When I got there to my surprise the were closed. Brought it back the next day. The inspector took my keys, got in my vehicle. Put my car into neutral and decided to rev till redline. When pulling into bay decided to drive my car like it was a toy, slammed on the breaks in the bay. Would think he would have some commonsense knowing that there is a giant window that all customers can see what’s going on. Quite disappointing. These guys are after your wallet. Will no longer return here. Car did pass on reinspection.

One minute overstaffed next minute understaffed One guy answering phones,working on cars and doing inspection people coming in standing waiting,then leaving cause one man running the shop,I received a wheel alignment by a older causcaian guy, My wheel was still pulling, so Tony the owner told me to come back 2nd alignment and still wasnt right and the Owner disappearred for the day without making sure I was Straight.So the 3rd time was better but the Guy who did my alignment so not ONLY UNPROFESSIONAL but RUDE told me I was .crazy if I thought my car drove better and that he did 200 dollars worth of work free,I told him wasnt my fault should of did it right the first time..I have been getting inspections there for awhile but never anything else I see why now,NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND my money with unprofessional people!!!!Beware!!!And Wheel Alignment Machine Out Of Date Smh..Smh. Lost a customer today and I will not refer business to this nonsense..
