I signed up for the Rescue course with Mark, this was the first course Ive taken with the shop and all I can say is this... if you want a passionate instructor that will teach you the course content, add in some real life situations and practice scenarios, Mark is your guy!!! You can tell he wants all of his students to learn the skills that are required and necessary as well as troubleshoot scenarios you cant plan for. Ive been to a few dive shops up and down the eastern seaboard and Mad About Diving is hands down one of the most knowledgeable and fun shops Ive had the opportunity to learn with. Thank you!!!

This is an excellent dive shop! I started coordinating Scout scuba certification and Merit badge activities for Scuba with Mark several months back. He has been excellent to work with, and met all of our course objectives and was very customer service oriented. He was eager to ensure that all of his staff was YPT trained, etc. The communication has been excellent and his level of professionalism has been impeccable . He explains everything in great detail. He and his staff have been very easy to work with. I communicated with numerous dive shops before I contacted Mad About Diving, There were many reasons that I felt like I could trust Mark with what matters most, our children. I highly recommend Mad About Diving.

Had an amazing experience getting our feet wet learning to Scuba! I was hesitant if my young son would be able to do this but the instructors showed so much patience with him and he picked everything up quicker than I did. We cannot wait to continue to learn more:)

If you want to get certified to Scuba Dive, this is one of the best Dive Shops in the Washington DC area. We have done multiple classes with Mark and his team. We started with Open Water and then moved onto Advanced, Nitrox, and just finished the Rescue Diver course this weekend.Mark does very small classes so you can get one on one personalized training. This was important to us, we did not want to go with the other Dive Shops as they were cramming too many people in their training sessions. Mark, Greg, Christine and Tim were fantastic. All the training was professionally structured and easy to follow, the classes were extremely fun. Its amazing how much we learned and how much our confidence has increased. Definitely do a trip with Mark and his team at Lake Phoenix (outside Richmond)! The water clearity at the Quarry is amazing!

We had such a great experience. The instruction is top notch and Mark makes the experience fun and challenging. Some places drag out these certifications for months but MadAboutDiving’s programming is thorough but efficient so we were certified in a matter of weeks! Highly, highly recommend!
