I absolutely love the guys at this place I used Marc the first time. I used Brian for my next and they were both great. Everyone is chill and makes you feel relaxed. I will definitely be coming back again. They do beautiful work and I am very Happy with them.

I have been waiting a long time to find the right place to get a specific tattoo that I’ve been carrying around with me for a few years. Freehold Tattoo was recommended to me so I thought I’d give them a shot. I’m no expert and only have 1 tattoo so I was very nervous. Then I met Brian, the artist and Marc the owner. Brian was very honest about everything. We went over my picture and he had some great ideas. The shop was very clean and very well air conditioned. Brian was awesome! He did a great job! Marc was very funny and the 2 made jokes to get me to relax. I highly recommend this shop! And I will definitely return!

Brian did an amazing job giving me 2 tribute pieces for my parents. Sent him numerous pics and renderings of what I was looking for a week before the appointment. The finished product came out terrific!

Kevin and Brian have a very clean shop always making sure you get what you want. I had a few small tattoos done there....the most recent was an original after a couple of my favorite people passed away in 2017 - My Amazing Grace tattoo was drawn by me but Brian cleaned it up and its excellent.....12 wing edges to represent the 12 apostles was a great addition .....Brian took good care of me - PLUS THEY PLAY GREAT MUSIC IN THEIR SHOP! Seeing Marc with clients prior to our turn, I knew my sister was in good hands for her first tattoo. He took good care of her and Im extremely pleased with my tattoo as well. The time and effort he put into perfecting my mothers handwriting really shows in the end result. I highly recommend this shop. Its a professional yet chill atmosphere. Keep doing what you do guys!

Marc is such an incredible artist. Any nerves I had going in there for the first time disappeared within minutes of talking to him. From start to finish, it was the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had! The rest of the staff is very friendly as well. I talked to Brian when I first arrived- he was really kind and helpful when introducing me to Marc. Freehold Tattoo will always be my top choice for tattoos moving forward.

This is definitely my favorite shop, got two tattoos here so far and am more then happy with both of them. I was tattooed by Brian and by Kyle ( at separate times ). Their apprentice is a really cool dude along with everyone there! Only met Kevin for a short amount of time and didnt get much time to chat with him but from what Ive heard hes a great guy too! Overall great experience in the shop and Ill be back very soon !

Noticed they didn’t change needles. Not sure if he changed it before I got in the room but I didn’t see any proof it was new. The artist was also rude and completely unprofessional, admitted to messing up people’s tattoos just because he could. Terrible. Didn’t ask for any papers to be signed nor did they ask for id. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to risk getting infections or diseases and to be treated disrespectfully.

Came in to get a tattoo touched up that I had gotten from another shop. Mark took my tattoo and made it something beautiful. He took his time even though the shop was closing soon and is extremely professional and an awesome dude. Will only be going here from now on.Anthony Guagenti

No way. Went in for a piercing and the staff were not friendly and seemed put out by us. Took their own sweet time disinfecting the materials. Then, after waiting 30 minutes, we were told that they forgot to autoclave the instrument to close the piercing and that would take another hour. While I appreciate the effort of cleanliness, it was a major inconvenience. I guess they didn’t think to check the equipment first ??

Had to wait 2 hours for a tattoo. The artists there were very rude and ignorant. To add to that they are extremely unsanitary and illegal. Did not have me sign any papers before taking me in to do my tattoo. My friend also went in to get a tattoo with me and they also didn’t ask for any info or to sign any papers. They could be doing under aged kids and not caring. In transition from my tattoo to my friends, they did NOT CHANGE THE NEEDLES. They wiped off the end of the tattoo gun and began to tattoo my friend. I knew someone who had previously gotten a tattoo from here that was infected the next day for about two weeks and I figured she just didn’t put the right ointment on but now I know it’s because they don’t change their needles. I guess no one has noticed due to the fact that they were going to get a tattoo and weren’t focused on what the artist was doing. After both tattoos they did not tell us how to care for it or provide wit any take home ointment. Whem we were about to leave they asked for ids, I didn’t have one and my friend did but they didn’t care about it anyway and said it was fine. They definitely tattoo and pierce under age kids. They are dirty, disgusting, unsanitary, illegal, rude, disrespectful and should be shut down. DO NOT GO HERE

I was a walk in where I just need a touchup from a tattoo that was done at the NY tattoo expo and I was done right on the spot by Nick who just happened to have a last minute cancellation. The shop was nice and the artists there were all really friendly and laid back. Everyone was working on a client at the time and even at closing there was a wait in the waiting room. It was a really cool shop and Nick did a spectacular job. One of the guys there was getting a sleeve and it looked really sick! Good experience.

This was one of the best shops Ive ever been to. Brian was awsome and I definitely recommend him. I was a walk in and as soon as my wife and I stepped into the shop we were immediately greeted by the apprentice who was also very helpful. The professionalism was amazing along with the atmosphere . Also Brian was by himself at the time and even though customers kept coming in wanting tattoos it didnt seem to phase him. He took his time with my tattoo regardless of the customers that the shop started to fill up with. And the finished product really shows. Thanks again Freehold Tattoo and Brian. Definitely coming back for more!!!

My teenage daughter has had 2 cartilage piercings and her nose pierced her. It is very clean, staff is friendly and they are quick!

Neat, clean, professional Kevin has done both my arms and my chest close to 100 hours of tattooing not a single complaint.

Excellent job, pain free (although he said that it normally hurts somewhat), clean and sterile enviroment, great artwork. We talked the whole 2 hours it took so it only felt like 20 minutes (and they were fun to talk to).

Walk in at 1pm was told theres a 2 and a half 3 hour wait so decide to just wait it out end up waiting 7 hours just for some douchebag to draw up something that was nothing like what I asked for and when I inform him that I dont like it he begins to give me attitude and tell me he cant tattoo me never again will I go back there I advise anyone looking to get a tattoo to not go there as well.
