I have not really checked the store out just yet, what I do know very affordable and everything is fresh! So they definitely get a thumbs up 👍
I give this a 3 star rating because a cashier asked another cashier lady if she could hit my husband all because she didnt like our age difference store. She kept staring at us while we were in line. Other than that Arlans is a nice grocery store.
Watch the expiration dates on the things you buy here. I posted a picture of expired milk still for sale. The building and equipment here also need some work. There were rolls of paper towels lined up under one of the shelves to apparently absorb liquid from some kind of leak. Prices and selection seemed average for a small store. Our cashier was not very pleasant either.
Went in to get a couple of things faxed and printed out and the beautiful office lady helped me figure out what I could do to make my labels for shipping. I thank you for your stand up to the challenge approach to help with my situation. And I enjoy the store as well.
The guys in the meat department are the best in Brazoria county, theyll take good care of you !! And the store ALWAYS has good prices on their products !! My go to, store !!!!
This place doesnt check their food or rotate it. They sell food that has mold on it. How long has this been growing and no one who works there noticed? Seriously. You manage a food market. Which means you are responsible for your employees doing their job and you are responsible for checking what you sell!!
Its pretty much the only real grocery store in Freeport. Older store but friendly employees and good selection
Took a minute to find but very clean and associates very friendly and helpful. Will visit again.
Cool market, great service and great staff.
Has been the only grocery store in our little town Freeport but for convenience and a small town, serving our neighborhood is one thing they try and do and the prices are reasonable. Thanks to those that work hard through the pandemic to keep us in stock and locally.
I found a lot of good food here.
This little supermarket is a true gem. Fresh, nice produce, a fully-stocked meat department, friendly staff. And, get this - they make boudin in-house! Definitely my go-to store when Im working in the area.
The chicken is pretty good, but the service is terrible. Our encounter when we stopped for lunch at 12:15 pm on a Thursday was disappointing. When asked for macaroni, the guy behind the counter replied Uhh, I would have to make some. and stared blankly at us for a full minute. Becoming annoyed with the employees unwillingness to provide service, we changed our order to mashed potatoes. We then requested plates with our meal. The employee stated they had them but forgot to include them. The mashed potatoes and gravy had no flavor. Dont waste your money or your time.
Love the meat section here.
Great place great prices and fresh meat daily.
I went to the store a week ago I bought five things in the store I had to pay $80 for five things thats a lot of money I mean that is a lot of money just for five stuff like that is its really high it really is thats all I like going to the stop it dont make no sense that I got five stuff from that stuff and I had to pay $80 the stuff is just too high I mean I wish it was other stores around here I mean because I dont have transportation right now until Im not going to go to the store I rather catch the city bus and go to Krogers thats my favorite store Kroger is my favorite store to go to Walmart on I like going to the store because they have big bag of cereal so thats the only way I go to Walmart for the cereal and once in a blue moon for medicine you know cough medicine and vitamins stuff like that for my kids me and my kids but Krogers is the main store I love to shop at Kroger they got some good product theyre at the same time they have good prices they got stuff on sales I mean I love it but HEB I am not stepping foot at HEB ever again I havent been to HEB for like 5 years now and Im not going back because they gave me a rotten pork chop and I went up there to talk to the manager and she was an old man Im sorry that happened to you well shes from the meat department well she gave the meat to the person that was doing the meat in the back and she went in the back with him this is crazy but when I made it home cuz I had transportation I was on the city bus I made it home they dont wrap up to me and gave me the meat back that was right and it was pork chop so I dont go to that store no more I went to that store it was 5 6 years ago and Im not going back to the store so they dont lost a customer with me because the pork chop was stink I mean it stink its like you could go crabbing with them thats how bad it smells so Im not ever going back to the store ever again
Good for small grocery store.
The staff is always friendly and able to help you find what your looking for.
Great Little Store
Great customer service and very convenient.
Good little grocery store. Anything and all things Mexican is available at this store. Prices are fair for the area. Customer service is very good and friendly.
Very nice service
Your quintessential small town grocery store. Not anything exemplary, but more than acceptable.
Theres a great little grocery store. Super close. DONT have to drive to Walmart.
I go to Arlans for their meat. They have the cheapest meat $prices in town & its fresh. Just Please dont go up on your prices!! Please & Thank you!!!!
Surprisingly good store given its surroundings -- a bunch of dollar stores and the like. Employees take pride and are friendly and there is a great selection of Mexican foods and drinks.
Good fried chicken and fried chicken special . wide variety of groceries and products. Fair prices. I will always be a repeat customer.
Good selection but high prices
Great price on money orders. Western union
They always have what I need
Lots of good food to be bought and plenty of parking space!
Everyone in Arlans market is always courteous, helpful and I find everything I need!
Prices are good. Sometimes the selection isnt the best, but its close to home and cheap.
Friendly employees, great meat selection, nice produce.
I seen that no one was wearing gloves and it was touching on things thats how theyre catching covid-19 by not wearing gloves thats what I hate it today if I got to hate something
Its expensive and they dont have much selection.
They had Lysol! Small store with a bit of everything including fresh produce and essential oils. Manager? asked if we needed help finding anything. Friendliness and helpfulness not found in large chain stores.
The groceries are high there. Especially the meat
Sometimes they seem overpriced BUT if you dont want to drive halfway across the county to get to Kroger or Walmart, its a good place to go shopping for groceries.
Ok would be cleaner, good selection of groceries but light on produces.
Prices were crazy and at checkout I had a bad encounter with a very rude employee. Dark curly hair, tall, heavy Female with a beard. I couldnt catch her name as she didnt have a name tag but was very rude. Didnt ask me if I found everything ok. Didnt say hello or even have a nice day. She literally ignored me the entire time with a rude look on her face and a snobby attitude. She left the register as I was trying to pay. I had to wait for her to come back to figure out she went looking for a price on an item because it wasnt scanning but the attitude on this lady. Ugh. I hope the manager does something with her. I love how the manager here helps the people who cant really get jobs and they are so nice. But this lady was completely functional and still couldnt care less to be there
Well stocked, great selections, cordial staff
Friendly and helpful
This is a decent Small Town store. They do sell locally homegrown produce. Not the greatest selection in the produce aisle but itll do in a pinch. Its clean store too.
This is a nice, little grocery store with top notch customer service.
They have friendly ppl but their prices are higher than when it was baywood foods especially their meat department, their vegetable selection use to be great when it was baywoods but its kind of gone down some
Its a awesome store its my favorite store when I was a kid but now Im 19 its still my favorite
Simply cant understand why the pricing is so uncompetitive. I understand that they cant get the discounts that the big chain gets, but staple goods are WAY overpriced (sometimes double). Trader Joes or Aldi....SAVE US!!!
Nice smaller grocery store...
Dont keep shelfs stocked
Great supermarket.
Its ok for a smaller store.
Has most anything you need and fresh seafood is amazing and good prices
Cold inside
Great selection for a smaller grocery store. The meat market is excellent. Great place to go if you like to fill your freezer up.
Great store!
Have anything you need
Its close to the apartments that i live in although they could lower there prices its still a good store
Good service and fair prices
Went when i was a kid brings back good memories
Great fresh meat and produce...very reasonable prices
Young inexperienced cashier but they will get better
Good place to get fresh cut Meats.
I always had a pleasant experience when visiting that store the customer service there is wonderful.
The kind of neighborhood that keeps its good ethic and standards.
Have no problem reporting to BBB for price gouging
Overpriced but usually well stocked
Clean and great selection...
Always stocked and convenient
Great shopping experience!
Small local store awesome staff and store but limited selection deals on meat are amazing though
This store is so much cleaner. And have a lot more choices. Theyve got a lot more products than Baywood had... Love the change
Arlans is a community grocery store with a fair variety of options.
Great selection. Awesome meat and produce. The fresh pico is delicious.
Love this store
What a difference a day makes. So much cleaner. The new Manager is great.
Great food at good prices. We encountered an employee with a bad attitude but the manager wad quick to deal with it
👍
Its not very often I buy groceries in Freeport. It is nice to know how the owner/management thinks of real people spending their crazy money in their store.
They had what I needed.
Clean, fresh, friendly service.
Nice grocery store, good prices, nice produce.
Best vegetables
Its ok the only place to shop in Freeport. I pray we get another nice clean smelling store to shop.
We have always purchased our discount tickets to schlitterbahn through Baywoods and now that Arlans took over they stopped selling them. They’re groceries are also subpar the people working are pretty nice which is why I gave them one star. Overall the experience of going here is not worth it at all I rather go to Kroger or H-E-B where cereal isn’t 6 dollars a box, and it’s not even the family size it’s the regular size box. If you don’t have to go here don’t waste your time.
The prices are outrageous! No friendly emplyees. No one ask you if you need help.
Such wonderful customer service. Lovin it!
Staple prices are outrageous. 2 boxes of Velvetta mac and cheese costed $7.98. That is extremely high.
Kinda pricey but the employees are very friendly
Good choices and good prices
You find everything you need for the house
Friendly and helpful employees
Good grocery selection
Same crummy inventory as Baywood, but it costs twice as much. I wish that there was an HEB in Freeport.
Poorly
Love the meat from Arlans
To high
STINKS LIKE OLD GREASE..
Can of black eye peas was $1.69. Seems too high for me.
