After an unexpected death in the family, I found myself suddenly in need of extra storage space. Brenda patiently showed me around and really worked with me explaining the different options and telling me about units that were on sale. I took a unit in the newer building which is climate controlled and immaculate, and spent two months sorting through and finding homes for a very large collection of books. During that time I felt completely comfortable and safe working at the storage unit. Brenda continued looking after me, making sure I had everything I needed, even bringing me hot coffee! These days it’s hard to find customer service that goes above and beyond in exceeding expectations. Glad to see that level of service is alive and well at Freeport Self Storage!

Where do I start this place was phenomenal for the 7 months that I used the facility I had absolutely know worries about my possessions being stored there. Every time I stopped in the facility was always spotless and odorless. The staff was pretty cool as well especially Brenda so if your looking for somewhere to store your possessions look no further this is the place...

The facility is amazing. But unfortunately my review is 3-stars because there’s attitude from staff that is completely unnecessary, if you can get their attention through the glass door that they seemingly can’t see you through in the first place 🤷🏾‍♀️. If things like that don’t bother you, the facility is clean, well-lit, and there’s space so you don’t feel all piled up on the unit next to you.

This is a awesome storage facility. I will recommend them to others that are in search of a high quality place for their personal keep sakes. They are also very prideful with cleanliness. 👍👍

Where can I begin. First, I had a pleasant experience. The customer service was awesome and i got an amazing summer deal that I couldnt refuse.. Second, the storage facility is so clean, neat and modern. Third, its well lit and has adequate parking. I can probably go on and on. But I wont. These are just the important things to me.

With large doors, elevator wide hallways, and tons of carts available for use, the unloading process was seamless. Its True! From the employees to the owners everyone is courteous and very helpful ! Nothing like renting a box truck from your own storage rental company! Family Owned and extremely attentive to your needs. Having been a resident and business owner in Freeport for close to 40 years I would recommend David and his crew hands down! Their newest facility is very modern and easy to access and well thought out.... Unlike others in town they dont flood in storms. I have friends that used a company south of merrick road that not only flooded but were not even notified for weeks. Almost all their tenants lost everything they had!

My storage unit for work was in Garden City for about 10 years. I just moved to Freeport a year ago and wanted something closer to home. I was nervous about moving because I got so used to the other place. Im so happy I finally did it! I moved all my supplies about 3-4 months ago and I have no regrets.Honestly, this place is so much cleaner and nicer than any other places I looked at and even my previous storage facility. Actually, I should say super clean! No spiders so far :)Its also more modern in terms of entry systems. I love the fact that I can pull up and use an app on my phone to open the gate!! I hated punching in my code at the other place to enter and exit the grounds. The people that work at Freeport self-storage are always friendly and helpful. Happy I moved!

Freeport Self Storage is a breath of fresh air, a family-owned small business in a sea of large corporate companies as its competitors. The owners and staff are wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and strive to provide the best storage solution around. They just finished construction of a new facility, keep all of their facilities in great shape, and also offer a moving truck. Their facilities are safe, secure and out of the flood zone in Freeport. Ive used them for two different units during a period of a year and a half from 2017 to 2018. I would not hesitate to work with them again and highly, highly recommend them to anyone requiring storage!

Ive had a storage unit with Freeport Self Storage for about 10 years. In my experience the rates have always been competitive. A few years ago I had 2 or so late payments and the owner Paul personally called me. After a conversation and understanding he worked with me to change units to something more affordable. I am finally moving into a home and dont need storage anymore, but I would recommend Freeport Self Storage to anyone who needs a clean safe place for their personal belongings.

Do not rent from Freeport Storage. Yesterday July 15th I had a Issue with the elevator lift that carry items to my storage unit. I walked to the office and explained I am having an issue with the elevator. The rep responded Im sure its something you did and seemed put off that I asked for help. She was not too happy having to walk to elevator and correct the issue. She instructed me that the 2nd door on elevator was not locked and stormed off leaving me to deal with the issue.Thats some bad service. Freeport Storage I am paying you, not you paying me for my service. I will be canceling my contract in August being that I am going away.

If u need to store ur stuff sum whr and not worry bout it getting stolen or damaged this is da place I lost my ring and sum guy found it and returned it

9.8.21: An update to our previous review: Due to Covid, our business has changed dramatically over the last two years. We dont require as much storage space now because we direct drop ship a lot of products. Three months ago I asked about getting a smaller unit, but in the same building we are currently in and on the first floor. Nothing was available. However, David, the Facilities Manager, contacted me last week and said something he thought would fit our needs because available. Not many businesses would notify a customer something less expensive was now available. Most want to sell you as much as they can, for as much as they can! We appreciate David remembering our request and taking the time to contact us. He was also very helpful in physically moving some of our stuff I couldnt do by myself. We kept our old unit in pretty good shape and I did some cleanup myself so we paid no cleaning/move out fee. Most places would probably charge something! Paul, David, Cynthia, Brenda, Rosalyn and Allan make a great team! So as always, I greatly recommend Freeport Self Storage for your personal storage needs AND your commercial storage needs. In fact, the row we are in now is mostly other small businesses, which is great! So if you dont need a warehouse but want to move your growing biz out of your kitchen/garage, check this place out!My father started using Freeport Self Storage at least twenty years ago as a warehouse for his food service supply and hardware distribution business. I started working with him about a dozen years ago.My Dad said he chose this place because it was the only self storage facility that would accept packages for you via UPS, USPS, FEDEX, or common carrier such as A. Duie Pyle.If youre just storing furniture or other household items, this is not a big deal. However, if youre running a business and trying to keep your overhead/rent low, this is critical! And based on the number of pharmaceutical reps and other small business owners I see coming and going, we are not the only ones utilizing this great facility as our base of operations.We have always found the staff here to be extremely courteous and helpful. Its a family owned and operated business, which is very unusual in the self storage industry these days. Most are owned by large Real Estate Investment Trusts; in another words, faceless conglomerates with a corporate office in a low-tax state. Not the case here. Paul, the owner, is here most days, and his son David is here at least five days a week. We know if there are any problems, Paul and David will make sure its taken care of either by them personally or their top-notch staff who are in whenever the facility is open for business.Freeport Self Storage recently completed a major expansion and we have moved our business into their new building. Its well-lighted, clean, and climate controlled with a nice new bathroom. And we were able to consolidate our two smaller units into a larger one, which will even save us money.They have also upgraded their drainage system to prevent any future flooding, a major necessity in this day and age.If youre looking for warehouse space for your business, or have simply outgrown your apartment or house and need some extra room, I highly recommend Freeport Self Storage.
