James helped me buy my new bike today. He was super knowledgeable, friendly and honest. He took the time to help me try out a few bikes with different options to make sure I was getting the best fit. Felicia at the front desk was also very friendly. I highly recommend this business!
Highly recommend the bike shop. Bought the Giant Propel in 2015 brand new. After 5 years, realized that the bike havent been serviced except chain cleaning. And today Alex took the bike and did the tune up for free because the bike is free for lifetime tune. So highly recommend buying bike from the shop and great service from the staff.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They take care of you in a timely manner every visit. There is a great inventory of tools and accessories for sale. And I trust them to service my ebike which is not something I can say for other nearby stores
I met James, David & Adrian who were very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I greatly appreciate the Excellent Customer Service I received! I highly recommend this Cool Local Bike Shop!!!Keep up the great work guys!!!Take care, Leilani 🌺
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have great service! Its my go to local spot!
Helpful knowledgeable staff, Ive heard otherwise but all my experiences there have been positive
Staff is friendly and attentive! Found most of the bike parts in-store and staff personal James helped me with quick fixes needed to custom fit parts to my bike.
I always come here to fix my tire. A guy wearing a hat and 2 black masks was really nice to me and was very quick fixing my flat tire. 10/10!
Called ahead. Introduced himself, and answered my questions. When I arrived, they acknowledged me even though they were helping others. Quick wait to fix back tire. Knowledgeable, gave me options to fix, educated on Fremont area. Gave differences in cost with options so I could make a decision. Will be back to this store instead of another. Price is competitive, service is great! Highly recommend!
Got to the shop, Nick ( Sale Person) was very informative on the bikes. Needed a mountain bike for communing to work due to the last bike broke on me. Nick gave me the break down of what type of bikes are for certain terrains and what was the best choice for my needs. Overall everyone were very helpful and knowledgeable. Got the bike i wanted.
I came in to buy replacement bearings for my headset. Because of the current parts shortage, they didn’t have the correct bearings available. I asked about buying a complete headset assembly. It would cost $60.00. James (the owner) offered to remove the bearings from the complete headset and sell them to me separately. He would then replace them in his kit when they arrived. Total cost for the two bearings: $23.00. My kind of shop!!!
Ive been here several times and even though Ive only bought a few things theyve been awesome each time. Though they are busy, it doesnt take long for someone to check to see if youre being helped or not. They always take the time to make sure all your inquires are answered. Also, they are always understanding of my elementary bike knowledge. Thanks guys!
Bought a bike.. good service like bicycle garage.
Friendly staff. My bike.was ready 1 week ahead of schedule. Good communication. I would buy again from this store
I think this is a great bike shop. I have bought several bikes at Centripedal and had all the service done there also. James runs a solid shop. I recommend them.
The service at CentriPEDAL was fast, competent, and friendly. Labor seems to be pricy, but that is understandable and they were happy to just get me the parts I needed so I could do stuff myself. Even swapped the freewheel for me free of charge, because I didn’t have the tool and they didn’t have it in stock to sell to me. Great experience.
Every time I have come here for help they have gone above and beyond what one would expect and hope for in help. From the gentleman in the front helping to put the newly bought pedals on my bike for me.To the gentleman in the back who just replaced my freewheel today with a spare part he had. These are good people who care and just want to get you back on the road and riding!Customer for life.
I have mountain bike need a lot of parts to replace the stuff helping me to get all parts I need. Very good customer service.
Went in for a front and rear tube fix for my road bike. Super friendly staff. Super informative staff: they’ll give you a run down of everything and give advice too. Overall a quick fix, and awesome experience!
Been there a few times due to it being close to my house. Every time we go they disappoint. One time we waited until they opened for them to say they bike fixing (change of tube) was going to take until September! Dont know if the guy was just lazy or what! If that is the case they should put up a sign on the window. Its all about customer service!UPDATE: Replying to owner. How dare you say my review is a lie! Not my fault your employee was lazy and didnt want to help my son out. Stop spending so much time trying to defend your staff and have a meeting with them about customer service. Definitely never going to your store now. If you reply being defensive again I will report you to the BBB. You could learn some customer service as well. BTW these reviews exist to help other people not waste time. I rarely give negative feedback, only if its a MUST!
Made us wait for over an hour outside the store. Then one of the younger reps came and when somebody in the line inquired about how long it would take, he became loud and rude and started misbehaving with the elderly gentleman. Most of the staff did not have masks on.When I reached the service area and requested to install a new tube, the guy said that my tire was gone and he would only fix it if I buy a new one for $62. I walked out of the store and installed the tube and the tire on my own. There was nothing wrong with it. Terrible service. Will never go there again.
Great service and friendly staff. They steer me to the right purchases and dont overcharge. Recent purchases include a bike, basket, lock, shifter service for an older bike.
Asked for a shifter for 3x7 mountain bike. They sold me the 3 speed front shifter for a 3x8 pair at 2x the price I find elsewhere. Now I will have an unmatched set that cost more. Not recommended.
I am very happy with this bike shop. They go the extra mile and have workes hard during the pandemic to help people. The service man made a minor adjustment on my daughters bike today for free.
Very bad experience! This was my first visit today, the guy claim manager him self seems very mean and rude to customer. I went for flat tire repair and asked about price the other mechanic had look to my bike and told me $12. Then this person told me $15, so I asked him why two different prices? He replied they suppose to charge $20 in very rude way!!They told me estimation of $21 which I agreed and after few minute they did I need to replace tire with additional cost. When I refuse to take their service they charged me $15 without any fb later tire repair!I think this was my first and last experience with this shop!!! In addition when I was taking a pic of that service price he was again rude and said I have to ask for taking pic of that list? It suppose to ment for customer, whg customers need to take permission? Very unprofessional peolle. What a bad customer service!!!
Highly recommended them! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Nice place.
James and his crew are just straight up nice people!
Very good service. I wasn’t buying a small item (tire tube) he went the extra miles to also install the anti flat fluid instead of letting me do it myself.Maurisio is he’s name and I wish other bike shops have that service.
Professional, friendly, courteous, quick Service! Love these guys!!GREAT bikes and products!!! 👍
Centripedal bikes was able to help me resolve a comfort issue with my bike in a matter of about 10 minutes. Such quality and efficient service--thank you!
Great caring service, reasonable pricing for grandsons bike inspection and repairs. I think it was Alex that got the bike in my truck for me. (Grandma & 7yo grandson)
Excellent customer service. Brought in an old bike to get the brakes done and James was very friendly, helpful, and straightforward. Reasonably priced work performed well.
Awesome and beyond helpful team of great employees at Centripedal bikes. Since the season is right I came to have a small refresher course on how to properly put air in my mountain bike. Nick was supper friendly and even helped me figure out my OWN pump. The gentlemen with the awesome curly hair helped me with some questions I had about a trade in as well as recommending hybrid bikes. They also kindly asked if i needed assistance placing my bike back on my vehicle. Please never change employees.
Best place for bikes in Fremont. I had got my chain badly stuck after a fall. James was absolutely gracious to attend to my bike. It was near closing time on Saturday but James did not hurry in the assessment or the fix. He was methodical and incredibly precise. Gabe at the reception is always so helpful. Thanks to James, Gabe and Centripedal bikes. This was long due.
What a gem this place is. Such a warm and friendly shop. Not to mention the Service shop.. they are super quick and proficient in their work. Big thanks to Alex for answering all my questions and helping me get the best service for my bike.
Great place to buy a bike! Personalized service
Very friendly, good service and prices are reasonable.
Sophia was super helpful, knew where everything was and immediately grabbed what I needed and answered all my questions. She was very friendly and I assume that she had a smile on under the covid 19 mask she was wearing. Thank you Sophia
Dont go there for bike service, complete waste of your time.
They were super nice and professional. Will definitely be back.
Great place to bring bikes Id recommend it
I come here a lot and purchased two road bikes from them. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. They spent a lot of time with me to help me select a bike that fits me well. They get really busy in the afternoon on weekends... so if you go then you should bring a little patience with you. The lifetime adjustment that comes with a new bike is really handy. I have had several repairs and adjustments here, and they do good work. They have a limited but complete selection of accessories (mostly Giant and Park Tool brands), but no way to browse online. They are willing to special order things, with a good price. They also organize several bike rides throughout the week. They are very service oriented. I really recommend this place. If I could do more online shopping with them it would be 5 stars.
Excellent service. Great bike techs!
I taking my Klein bikes to then excellent service and the mechanics know theres stuff.I had my bikes tuned up from them and never had to take him back .Great Job Thank you
Fixing a bike here is a bit of expensive thing. Just a flat tire cost you 21+ bucks. Customer service is not satisfactory. For example, you need to wait for 2+days to get your bike serviced. No calls after service made. Pick your bike if you remember it.
Personal story: I got invited after 5+ years of not biking to bike again... Tomorrow. Fearing since my front brakes were blown (hose to master cylinder blew) and my grips melting from sitting out in the sun I brought my bike to my shop to fix (I mean a auto shop has 70% of what I need to fix bikes.)Thinking it would be cheaper and cleaner to install a pre assembled Hydraulic disc brake kit, I used Google and tried to source a basic (just for now since were not throwing our bikes off hills... Yet.) Brake system. Shimano being a reputable I called in to inquire if they had it in stock since online said maybe.Called not knowing it was 11:35am I realized they dont open till noon. Left an voicemail and surprisingly, I received a call around 12:30 with the fact I gave them an oddball part number, but asked about a basic brake kit. Guy on the phone offered we got this kit and so things were settled. Im going up to Fremont rather than driving to Santa Cruz.took lunch to drive up to Fremont to this store and was nicely greeted asking what I was looking for, pointed me to the products I needed (with recommended products, but not pushy to sale a specific (potentially higher markup) item. I selected my items and went to the parts/repair area. What were you looking for exactly?I replied a Shimano handle and caliper premadeHe replied oh you called earlier right? After that I was handed the item, paid for it and booked back to the shop and rapidly threw it on, bedded the brakes and Im now ready for our socially distancing trail ride.Too long, didnt read: no pushy sales people, prices are fair, didnt have any bad vibes, wish they had more variety (but cant blame them totally because the store looked like a target after black Friday haha)Oh and I didnt really dig into the parts section since there were too many people in that areaWould recommend if its near you. As for me they luckyly had what I needed in one stop.
Love this place. I went biking once and got 2 flat tires. We decided to buy a new bike altogether and the one i wanted was still being built. Next day, they called us and said it was ready! It was amazing how fast they got it, and their staff is just great.
Bad business never answer their phone and sometimes when they do they pretend that they will going to look at what you need and they will hang up on you and when you call back they will do it again.
I went there today to fill my bikes tires with the air. The person at the counter was friendly and welcoming. I went to service department and got my tires fixed with welcoming as well. Thanks
Great shop staffed with courteous, knowledgeable people. Im an avid cyclist who handles most of the routine maintenance and upkeep of my bikes myself, but anything that I cant handle I hand it off to these guys. Turn around is fast and the work is excellent. In my time in the shop, Ive seen them patiently explain entry level bikes to beginners and discuss high end equipment with seasoned riders. Prices are reasonable, in-store selection is good for most maintenance items, and they happily order parts for upgrades/replacements. Im currently having two wheels built up by them, and am sure they will be of high quality. Cant say enough good things about this shop, definitely one of the best in the bay area.
One of the better bike shops!
Hands down best bike shop in Fremont - super helpful and even showed got to fix my bike problem myself even when they were backed up with orders
This store is just 5 months new and my experience has been great. James and his crew are very knowledgeable and helpful. They dont force you into buying anything and are very patient to answer any questions you may have.I bought a hybrid bike from this place and I am extremely happy with it. Even though its not the stores policy to deliver, James made an exception to deliver the bike to my house in Fremont. The service and support is excellent. I highly recommend you to check out this place if you are in the market for a bike.
These guys are pretty friendly and know their stuff. Not overly snobby like at some places. It is a very large and popular shop. So they may have a big line, but they work it pretty fast. Ive had mixed experience getting service here, at least for wheel truing - I think they seem to only like tightening spokes. Ive since switched to a different shop and have had better service there.
Great service!!!
This was my go to bike shop in Fremont as most of CentriPEDALs staff is friendly, they have excellent knowledge and are FAST in getting your bike fixed, I went recently to have a flat fixed and I told them that my derailleur was broken but they said no its fine. Well I took my bike out today and a half mile into my ride the derailleur broke apart.Tell Alex that he should stick to repairing flats as his expertise is next to zero on anything else!
Great staff, great prices, great service. Very knowledgeable and experienced. James (the owner) is a nice guy and gives great advice to anyone from beginner to advanced.
Knowledgeable staff and great customer service!!
Very helpful and friendly.
James and his crew are just GREAT! James is very passionate about bikes and it shows when you talk to him. They have great deals as the icing on the cake!
Great people and staff that know their stuff. Theyre cross town from me but still the shop I go to if I need their service!
Iv been to this bike shop a couple times about 4 to 5 years back. And i have no complaints about the service they give. the reasonable prices for bikes and repairs is amazing. ill be sure to stop by anytime soon to either purchase or repair my bike. the employees there show passion in the work they do and it makes you feel comfortable and want to go back again and again i wouldnt go to any other bike shop knowing my bike is in good hads here. but the employees are 100% and very conversational. I appreciate the work they do.
Centripedal blkes has a Spanish speaking employ .Very professional friendly at all timesand honest😀
Great set of folks working there, good selection of bikes and accessories and they can get a bunch of stuff they dont have in stock very quickly!
Best Bike shop in Fremont bar none. James and crew will hook you up. Service is best in town.
Very friendly staff and knowledgeable. James, the owner, is a really nice guy, he helped me get my bike fitted.
Excellent service!
Awesome service, going above and beyond!!
They are my new bike shop of choice, quality service, helpful and friendly.
Had a crankset switched out by James. The service was quick and reliable. No issues what so ever and never tries to upsell anything!
Class Race Bike Enthusiasts:CentriPEDAL just finished an overhaul of my newest classic bike acquisition from Italy, an original F. Moser Pernod. Earlier this year after completing reassembly of my Raleigh Pro I gained an understanding of their operation and devotion to the old race bikes.I appreciate the attention to detail by James Gluth, Alex, Adrian, Mo and other team members including the owner James. They adjusted and repacked all my Campagnolo bearings & parts with professionalism. They understand the art and engineering of classic Euro race bikes of the past.As a rider of classic steel since 1971, I trust these guys explicitly to do the job right the first time, and they pull it off well. After they restored my original Raleigh Pro this spring, I rode the bike for three solid months w/o a single glitch or issue. Thank you CentriPEDAL.
Highly recommended place to bike repair / maintenance. Staff are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable.
Great staff, very knowledgeable. Prices are a little high, but their products are flawless.
Helpful and friendly staff! Nice shop with good prices and deals.
Great customer service.
Very cool guys. I had a flat and they helped me to fix it
Been there multiple times already. Really great service, and my issues are resolved.
Great place... Learned a lot in a little time....
James Rardin, Rachel, James G, Adrian, Danny, all do excellent work for me on my bikes and trailers.Highly recommended.
Great customer service but really expensive. For example I found a $20 bike helmet for $40.
Excellent staff and service
Awesome shop with honest employees. Most definitely be coming here again.
Outstanding service, very reasonable prices, an AMAZING trade in program that allows you to buy a beginner kids bike and then trade it in for the FULL PURCHASE price for a bigger bike as your child grows, AND as others have mentioned, super honest, fair and efficient service when making repairs.
These guys are great, have good service. Plus you can wait at the coffee shop next door.
Fast and cheap, everything we want when you need to repair your bike, but if you need to buy a bikes is a little bit expensive.
Friendly and honest, very helpful staff.
I went to CentriPEDAL because I needed my bottom bracket loosened by one turn. The bike was down to the frame, no cranks, no chain... only the bottom bracket. They charged me $7.00 for 45 seconds of time to loosen a bolt.
Good assistance and knowledgeable people about the bikes!!!
Good
Very professional and friendly!
