Fantastic breakfast here when I work around the country I always look for small diners to enjoy a good meal and this one to let me down.Really friendly staff quick and made hot and fresh on everything definitely check this place out for breakfast or lunch

Very nice staff and great food. Got a large amount of food for a good price. Very tasty and well done. Seems to be one of the best breakfast spots in the area and much better than any of the local fast food spots that cost the same.If I wasnt leaving the area I would go back and try more of their options. Highly recommend.

A diamond in the rough. Food is great and fresh, people are nice, and theres a lot of heart here. I wish I could help them with their marketing, because I feel like if they just added a little more charm to their logo and interior decor, theyd be a lot busier.

The owners passion to succeed translate to a very clean, efficient and tasty restaurant. His wide range of food: hamburgers, clam chowder to teriyaki chicken are edible. However the saying Jack of All Trades, Master of None is also true as nothing really stands out. Hes adding tri-tip soon to his regular menu so this may change my mind. Lastly, he is is active in the Sunnyside community so come support his shop too.

Food is actually 4 star, while wait is a 1 star. This is my whole order as pictured. It took 35 minutes to get it. The place was not busy. Only 2 other tables and I am a diner of 1 person. After I sat 3 more groups came in. I waited. After 35 min, I finally got my food. The sandwich was warm and tasty, the biscuits were hard and cold. They were replaced in a couple minutes, I found out afterwards, that people are able to call in their orders, and stay in to eat it. Convenient if you know the trick, not cool if you just show up and are put behind all the phone orders. I do not agree with this order of service, but its not my business. So if your going in to eat and in a hurry, call ahead.

Takes time to get your food.but it is made as you order it..I always get the bfast sandwich, and it is AWESOME.always enough for 2 meals. Will always go there for bfast...so yummy...I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This place is amazing! Very simple nothing fancy but the food is amazing! French toast done the way it should, bacon so meaty and the country potatoes are perfectly cooked! The coffee is really good and have you ever had breakfast gravy with ham, bacon and sausage?!?!?! This place is my new American breakfast spot easily! The portion to price ratio is the also the best I’ve seen in Fresno.👍👌😀

We are from out of town and were looking for a good place to eat. We saw this diner and previous ratings and decided to give it a try. Happy to say, the reviews were correct! Great service, freshly prepared food that tasted homemade and the employees were very nice and attentive. Seems like this may be a little known gem because it was not crowded at all. We were able to eat a nice lunch before heading home to Southern CA. Thank you Sunnyside Diner, for a great experience!

Stumbled here by pure chance. Absolutely amazing food. I enjoyed the service. I had a grilled chicken avocado club sandwich. It was one of the best I’ve had. If you are looking for freshly cooked meal, this is absolutely a place to indulge. The young man and the owner were friendly and attentive. 👍👍👍

I love how normal this place is. I know that may sound strange but I’m from Missouri and I just enjoy a normal place with real food and it has to be clean. This place meets all the criteria and grateful I found it.

Three of us have breakfast here every week and love it. Lupe,the owner is friendly and a wonderful cook. He is an experienced chef having cooked at several of the local country clubs. I have tried most of the breakfast items and they are all great; my favorite is the breakfast burrito. Lupe prepares everything to order with prompt and courteous service. As others have said the facility is always clean and neat.

Ive been coming here for years... its a great little place...my girl n I like to have there when were both able to... we always get the avocado chicken sandwich it a great sandwich... the owner is pretty laid back type of guy... always talks to us... always great time...thank you

Driving through Fresno and stopped in after reading great reviews, and so glad we did. Kind, quick service by the owners/chefs and absolutely delicious food. Picture perfect (and delicious!) pancakes, expertly cooked eggs and the best hash browns Ive had in ages. Highly recommended!

We were in town for a convention and wanted a good breakfast before heading to the airport.This place was clean, with very friendly staff. The cook asked us if it was our first time and gave us several suggestions on the menu. The food was good family cooking and fairly fast. Would definitely like to try their lunch menu as well.... Maybe next trip.

I love this place for breakfast! I have them on speed dial. When Im ready to leave for work in the morning. I just call and tell him what I want. By the time i get there it is all bagged up on the counter for to grab n go! They make QUALITY diner food at a decent price. And you are supporting LOCAL when u eat here.

Best meal that weve had since leaving S.C. 2 weeks ago. My husband had the beef fajita burrito and I had the chicken fajita burrito plus we had two regular drinks all for under $20. The food was excellent and more than filling. Wish we could take them back to SC with us. We highly recommend this little diner.

I could not be impressed more by the Sunnyside diner. The service was fantastic and food came out quickly. We had a delicious breakfast that tasted like a home cooked meal, and the price was unbeatable. Ill definitely come back next time Im in Fresno!

For some time Ive been stopping here on my way to work for quick breakfast that is always fantastic. Had lunch here for the first time today... wow! It was incredible! Everything here is always fresh, portions are generous and they have low diner prices. The person next to me ordered the St. Patricks Day corned beef special and after seeing it I will be bringing my wife tonight to have that for dinner.

Wasnt expecting much when I walked into this small diner with four tables. Came with a friend. But Im impressed. The quality and taste of the food was superb. Pancakes thick and fluffy. Sausage lean but flavorful. I will most definitely be back.

Was just passing through after dropping my husband at the airport, looking for a breakfast nook for my daughter and I. Noticed some good reviews on google and took a chance on Sunnyside. WOW. It was nothing fancy, but you could see the years and years of experience that went into each dish. Ive worked in a few restaurants myself, and Im telling you, you can really see a chefs talent in the simple meals. The pancakes were so fluffy, the eggs cooked exactly the way I ordered. The bacon had that hard-to-achieve balance between crispy and tender. I never expected such quality cooking from such a humble place, and would love to go back if were ever in the area again. Very reasonable prices, a great experience.

Its great place for breakfast definitely affordable. Casual dining. I love the grilled basa highly recommend it! Breakfast samdwhiches are great as well as biscuits and gravy. It is slow...but only two workers most of the time. Definitely worth the wait. The owner is super nice and understanding.

You have to try the fajita plate. It is the best in Fresno. Every time I order it. Custamers ask was did I order. They say it looks and smells good.
