A few people may say that this place may “feel like a scam” or “dishonest about pricing” but I completely disagree. I brought my 350 Chevy block to these guys to completely go through it and freshen it up a bit. They were very honest and did not overcharge whatsoever. They did everything I asked and then some. Manny has helped me out very much and he’s super honest and understanding, as well as a really cool guy.10/10 I 100% RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR WORK TO THE GUYS AT AMS

If I could if I could give negative Stars this is the place to give it. Took over a month and a half to resurface a single cylinder head. They said it would be done in a week. The front desk Manning must have sold used cars before. Cylinder head failed less than 2 hours into it they What I paid them to surface it, I could have bought two new ones from Amazon. Ive learned my lesson not to do business with shops like this again.

I have been a using auto machine specialties for over 10 years and they always exceed my expectations. Very professional service and helpfull employees. They trully are the greatest value in machine work.

Steve Moody and all the guys are top notch. Totally willing to work with you on a one off project. Hes offset ground a crank for me, welded up another. All the machine work is spot on and fairly priced. I wouldnt go anyplace else.

Sorry business does not want to cover anything on warranty. They over haul engines and really expensive. They always put you on hold. They need a receptionist

Dishonest about pricing, I called to get a quote then get told when i arrive that it was going to be more. Also what business doesnt take business checks.

I have nothing but great things to say about the guys at AMS, especially the owner, Steve Moody. These guys helped me with the engine dyno break-in and tune on my freshly built Ford FE. This was my first ground-up engine build and first time using an engine dyno. Steve and his crew were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with my newb questions. The engine dyno run was worth every penny. I will be back to AMS for all my engine-related needs; these guys are true professionals. The review I read below about a competitor must be a joke - I used that shop mentioned below for the machine work on this engine block and I will never go back. I wish I would have found AMS sooner.

Very poor service, tried to charge me for damaging my brand new part, there are other shops in Fresno who do much better work and definitely more reputable. Please avoid this place at all cost.
