The guy here, Don, knows his stuff. You can ask any question about fitness, hes got you covered. He loves to share information. If he can, hell try to save you some money. I had a great experience and even bought an extra piece of equipment. Dont go in looking for TV advertisd stuff that youll have to replace in a few years. If youve made a decision to invest in you health, do it right. Start with good equipment.

Recently the treadmill on the boat I work on broke so we reached out to get it replaced. Don was very helpful. I told him what we were looking for and he quickly got several quotes on treadmills to me. Then he worked with us in getting the treadmill to us while we were in port. I recently bought a treadmill Don was the person that helped me. Everything was awesome, good service! To this day I haven’t had a problem with it! Love it! However, I referred my mom to them since she loves my treadmill as well and was really interested in buying it. Which she didn’t bc the person that helped her said that, “that treadmill is cheap and will only last 2 years.” A 1K treadmill cheap? After they told me otherwise? Really disappointed at this. Really unprofessional if the guy was just doing it to get them to buy a more expensive treadmill as if it isn’t obvious that was the reason... was planning on buying a couple of more gym equipment but will take my business elsewhere since they lied to me about my purchase.He specifically used the word “cheap” when inquiring about the treadmill and this obviously makes me feel terrible because I was recommended a “ cheap” product for 2 users .. ( my husband and I )... so perhaps the sales person didn’t “ match “ properly. Regardless, very dissatisfied.

I’ve been looking for some dumbbells online which are in short supply these days. I ran by Tx Home Fitness without calling first not realizing they were about to close. Don the store manager kept the shop open and helped me find the weights I was looking for at their west Houston warehouse location.I’d give these guys 4.5 if I could. I wish they provided shipping to the store location from the warehouse, but I understand that cost and challenges of shipping literal weights to various locations. Other than that great customer service, very knowledgeable and great prices for a brick and mortar.

Swung in today for my wife to look at a rowing machine. Don, the store manager, and staff were very friendly and not pushy. Don took the time to explain all of the different styles of rower and the pluses and minuses of each. While he was doing that I looked around the store and found they had Power Blocks adjustable dumbbells with expansion weights. They were the same price as Amazon and they had them in stock, where Amazon retailers have been on back order for a while. I purchased the blocks while my wife is thinking about the rower options. Either way, this is definitely a place to visit if your are in the market for home fitness equipment.

Over the past several months we have been working closely with Don Johnson and his team at the Baybrook TX Home Fitness location to put together a package of equipment that was perfect for our home gym. In spite of the home fitness equipment shortages created by the pandemic, Don was able to put together a package that suited our needs perfectly for what we wanted to be able to do at home and worked within our budget and with our existing equipment. Almost everything was able to be delivered within the quoted time frames, and the Delivery/Install Team did an exceptional job setting the new equipment up.Our dumbells did not arrive as expected, but Don continually and proactively kept in touch with us to let us know of the delay and expected delivery date. I never had to follow up once and felt as though they were genuinely interested in customer satisfaction even though the delays were completely out of their control. He also went above and beyond when I decided to change out the console on my treadmill, making sure we were 100% satisfied with our purchase.This was the second time we have done business with TX Home Fitness, and it will not be our last. We are grateful to have such a good local retailer to do business with, including the continuity of their in-store team, which isnt always the norm in the retail world.

Great buying experience. I went there to purchase a specific rower that I wanted. The plan was to go in, try it real quick, buy it and leave, however, I ended up staying longer than anticipated.Don shared his knowledge of rowers with me, and upon seeing which rower I was wanting to buy and asking a few questions about why I wanted that model, he suggested I should consider other options. Typically, thats the part where the sales person directs the buyer to a certain expensive brand and model, but Don didnt do that. Instead, he seemed way more determined that I try out the different types of rowers and focus on how each type felt.Whenever I brought up price, he basically shut it down, as in, he wanted me to figure out which rower felt best first, then figure out what fits my budget second (thats how I interpreted it). He never even mentioned prices without me bringing it up first, and he literally showed me all the rowers without excluding or trash talking the lower priced ones.Long story short, I purchased a water rower instead of the air one that I was originally going to buy, and I didnt pay much more by doing so. Also, Don informed me how to set it up, how to take care of it, and some of the accessories for the rower that I could buy in the future.In conclusion, I did not get the rower I intended to buy, and thats okay. The one I purchased is awesome and I definitely have no regrets. Granted, Ive only used it for three days, but so far its great. If there are any issues with it, thats more of a manufacturer thing.Thanks for the great service Don!

Wonderful Experience! We were asked questions about our particular needs, and budget and educated on the best options. We felt very taken care of. We were also able to show up in work out gear and test out our treadmill before buying it. We are excited for our treadmill to be delivered and set up. Prices are incredibly inflated. I love to support the local business guy, and I am willing to usually pay slightly more than a chain or big box stores for generic equipment. However, this place literally had the same brands of some of the equipment (TRX, GO FIT, SHEIK, ETC) that you can buy for approx 25-40% more than the big box store down the road. I do not expect them to compete with Amazon or the others, but you at least have to try. Especially when I show you the price comparison to the exact thing you have in your store. The customer service was lacking, the salesman basically said oh well, it is what it is. When asked about this. No effort was made to make a deal or attempt to come closer in price. I am guessing they didnt need my money that badly. Or they thought that I did not know what I was buying and they could get away with the higher pricing. Not sure. They get two stars because they had some clearance items that I picked up for a fair price. Probably will not be returning to this store.
