Brought my Jeep Gladiator here with low expectations. Anyone who has a Gladiator will know exactly what I’m talking about. I didn’t have an unlimited budget, so I wasn’t expecting much. Short story; they absolutely exceeded my expectations. They put together a system that I can upgrade piece by piece as budget allows. Cory (Germaine) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, kept my overall budget in mind, and helped me get a system that I’m overly impressed with. The install woman tuned it almost perfectly, and took the time to explain how it all works. Both Germaine (Cory) and the install person took time to pick up my car, and drop it back with me at work. They also took time to paint a clear picture of what I should do next to improve an already great system. Great job! I highly recommend.

Jake and Hunter took care of me! I came in to have a head unit tested about 15 minutes before closing. They were really cool about it and were also super informative with next step suggestions. I looking forward to going back

We had a difficult problem to solve with our custom van’s tv. Our son-in-law broke the original tv with his head. He bought a replacement tv and we had it installed in California where it was done horribly. The tv was too big and they jimmy rigged it. When we got to Texas we bought a new tv which fit. The second company installed but did not connect it to the speakers. We took it back and was told it couldn’t be done. So we decided to get a third tv with 2 blue tooth head sets and an adapter so both headsets could be used at the same time. We tooth these 3 components to Car Toys and their tech Damien looked at the tv and said it wouldn’t work for what we wanted to do but he would take a look at the tv we had. He was able to do a miracle and get everything working properly. It took some out of the box problem solving where others couldn’t . We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. We highly recommend this company.

Update As Requested By Owner: My review has not changed. I will not be returning until he returns.I will update my review when I verify my vehicle was completed without damage. So far the customer service has been terrible since my first quote. Very unfortunate that their best employee has been out. Prayers for him and his family. I will not be returning here until he returns.

Ive had multiple radar detectors installed on multiple cars by this location. Always do a great job in a timely fashion. If I had any standard audio/video needs for my cars, Ill take it to them first.

Make sure you read the fine print on the “free install” with purchase of a radio. It is just a free hour of labor. It is very deceiving and a way to get you in the door. I don’t like businesses that aren’t honest up front. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Man...what an awesome job these guys did! Paul and Jake were informative and walked me through my options thoroughly. The installer, Pedro, is a master of his craft! Its nice to find someone with the passion he has for his job! 5 stars isnt enough!

The guys at Car Toys in Frisco are awesome!!! I had them install 3 way speakers and build custom speaker pods on my 19’ Honda Civic Type R. It came out absolutely amazing! I’m a mechanic so it was hard for me to find someone to trust with my vehicle, I could have done it myself but these guys go above and beyond to make sure every single thing is PERFECT! The wiring was done clean, pillars look AWESOME, the tuning blew my mind, I appreciate the time they took in making it perfect! They even built a stand for my sub so it would fit perfectly in my hatch & not slide around! It sounds perfect!!!I strongly recommend you go to them for any stereo install, they do a lot more there also.Thank you Allen, Pedro & the man who made the custom pods!!! I’ll definitely be back!!

Corey did an excellent job of helping me find the right solution and Pedro is one of the best installers I have met. I told them I wanted no evidence of the installation being done and they delivered. Additionally, their post sale follow up and attention to questions was nothing short of outstanding.

David Osborn the detail specialist took my black Dodge Challenger which was filled with swirls to a mirror finish. In direct sunlight I could not find one mark on the entire car. He also took time to teach me how to prevent swirls and marring in the future. The photos doesnt do it justice!

I do not recommend this place for car detailing, the quality of their interior detailing is subpar with other companies, I actually end up paying another more professional detailing company to do the detailing again. The manager’s attitude is awful as well, he was arrogant and just care about money without considering the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers. So I would urge future customers to consider more on the reputation of the detailing company rather than the cheap price. Also they took my floor mat for washing and did not put it back, i loss a original floor mat because i did a car detailing in this extremely unprofessional shop, i seriously request all my money back and request 100$ to purchase a new floor mat. I have attached some pictures of my car after their so called professional detailing, you can see the quality of their detailling. Stay away from this company!

All I say is wow! The second I walked in I was greeted by a woman named Sarah. I told her what I needed and still had questions, and she was awesome at explaining everything to me and making sure I understood what exactly I was getting. She seems very knowledgeable about everything I asked her. She brought out a guy named Evan to look at my vehicle to see what was the best option for me for my budget. Evan was very smart and took his time explaining what he would be doing and where he would be doing it. In my case, I was getting an amp installed, along with buying power wire and ground wire by the foot. Overall I had an amazing experience here. I will definitely return and I suggest anyone who is interested in audio that they come and see how welcoming and experienced the staff here!

Great service, expertise, quality craftsmanship and products at the right price.I drive about 500 miles a week and wanted to have rich good quality sound without changing the factory stereo and trim on my car.These guys know their stuff. Car sounds great and they did the install of 4 component focal speakers a JL sub with their respective amplifiers same day.

I really can say I have a reason for a 1 star review but as a business owner myself I know it’s not the place it’s the people. I came in today and the guy who spoke to me when I walked in literally left me standing while I was talking. Someone else came and helped me out. Obviously I’m here for a service as a paying customer and I don’t know everything so that’s why I ask questions or I wouldn’t be here. I kindly appreciate the gentleman who later came to help me out & educated me at last and just want to say plz talk to your staff to not be rude, I almost walked out. And again thanks for the gentleman than helped me at last.

Great people! Easy to work with and very professional. They did a good job of installing my train horn. Was just a little disappointed that a small clamp was not added to the hose from the horn to the compressor. After about 10 uses of the horn the hose came off. It was an easy fix but for the price I paid I just expected the clamp would have been added. Overall they did a good job. It’s not a deal breaker for me. I will still use them in the future. I’m cutting them some slack because it doesn’t seem that train horns are a specialty for them.

I can not begin to tell you the depth of horrible service I’ve had and am still trying to work through with the Frisco, Texas location.They have had my van for 12 days now to do a backup camera and radio install in a Chevy van. Nothing fancy as basic and straightforward as you can get.I dropped it off on Sunday May 16th for what was a couple hour job.I got a call 2 hours later it was ready. On my way an hour later I get a call it’s not ready and they would let me know when.Monday 5/17 - no callTuesday 5/18 - no call; I finally call to check and am told sales guy is off and the tech is saying they misquoted module and the correct one will be $200 more. I asked to have tech call and explain situation.Wednesday 5/19. - I go in person to find out what the problem is; am told by the tech he’s worked all these extra hours that he should charge me for; he still can’t tell me the problem and that the more expensive module is the fix. I agree to new pricing and ask for them to update and call me when ready I’m told it will be ready Friday morning. I ask for an update on Thursday.Thursday 5/20 - No callFriday 5/21 - Call that it is ready to pick up. I show up and pay for the service and when the sales guy pulls it around to the front he notices it’s not working. And gets techs again and they are still confused by what to do. I talk to the manager and he assures me his best are on it and it will be ready today. He calls me (1 of only 4 calls I have received from Car Toys in 12 days) to tell me it’s ready.Saturday 5/22 - Show up to pick it up sales guy takes me out to it. As soon as I turn it on error code across the radio. Sales guy says let’s check the camera (I’m like ok; but big red error code), camera works I shift back in park. He says let’s connect your phone; I say but big red error code. No buttons work; he goes to get tech. Tech doesn’t have time to figure it out. I have no ride so I have to take it. Tech calls me to say he thinks it’s the speakers; we talk about me dropping it off Monday morning so he can hook up some new speakers and test it. I ask him if Monday opening is good he says yes.Monday 5/24 - I drop the van off at 10:00 am; sales guy sales “we’ll call you”. No call that dayTuesday 5/25. - No callWednesday 5/26 - No callThursday 5/27 - No callFriday 5/28 - I show up at 10:00 am opening; the van is still parked on same spot I left it on Monday. The tech seeing me walk in turns and goes straight into back room. Sales guy asks if he can help; I’m asking how it’s taken 11 days to install a stereo and backup camera? Why no one has the ability to make a phone call with an update? Tech finally comes out and complains he’s spent all these extra hours trying to fix the problem; mind you this is the tech that spec’d and sold me the system. He blames everything( including me for not making an appointment when I brought it back in. Again; same tech who told me to bring it back Monday Morning. My original appointment has never ended as it’s never been completed. Asked to see manager; was told no manager on duty today and I could come back tomorrow. Sales guy asked what I wanted other than it working so I can pick it up. I told him all I need today is a phone call with an update or it’s fixed and ready.... it’s now last closing time and I received no call and no update.I would say if you are even thinking of any audio work for tour car go anywhere but here!Hopefully Saturday 5/29 will be a good day and they’ll have figured it after 12 days of trying to install a single stereo and backup camera. I’m not holding my breath since they can’t even pick up a phone to make a simple update call.

I highly recommend Car Toys, Frisco. Ask for Big John. He was a godsend. I needed advice and guidance and he was honest and trustworthy. He made what was a stressful situation much easier. He took his time to answer my questions and set goals and stages that fit my budget for building my sound system.This location had a very large variety of speakers that I was able to play with and test out. When other places literally start at $150 for their entry level speaker, Car Toys offers a great variety to meet every budget.Do yourself a favor and come see this team! Ask for Big John!! Great guy! The installation went seamlessly, and looks as if it came out of the assembly line that way. These people really know their car audio. Well, thats their business! They are knowledgeable and friendly and are not afraid to answer any questions. I spoke with the manager and he gave me all of the info I would need to upgrade my car stereo.He obviously tried to upsell me, which I completely understand, and was not pushy about it. I didnt buy anything today, but I will be back in the future.

These guys rock! Was able to install my new radio at closing time they didn’t mind staying after hours. Very friendly staff and very professional.

They smashed both of my passenger side doors and refuse to take responsibility for it. I have the pre inspection as proof and they denied it saying they may have missed the dents. They noticed a much smaller door ding but not the huge dents they left? Never coming here again, i recommend you don’t either.UPDATE 08/14/20:Have had nothing but issues with this radio and installation. Radio never connect to my phone, always says device not compatible, will randomly go black and blare static, will freeze. STAY AWAY FROM CAR TOYS!!!!

We wanted to provide our daughter car with a GPS system. So my wife contacted the sales team. The remarkable service started there with Douglas. He provided her with all the necessary information. So she sent me in to buy or fly. We bought exactly what the sales team suggested. It was a perfect fit. The remarkable service continued with the installer Dominique walking my daughter and through entire process, but there is more. Her car was a mess, dirty interior, exterior, and headlights with much dirt build up. He suggested a cleaning that would make them look new. I said, thats what everyone says, but truth was in the pudding. This when he brought out the secret weapon. His name was David. He began to explain what he could do for her car if we wanted it detailed. He did exactly what he said and more. My goodness, he provided our family with Best in class service. We knew it was special because the entire sales team said we would be amazed.when arrived to get her car.I got to go back to sleep for now, but let me say this Car Toys you CRUSHED IT.

Don (Frisco location) took good care of us. We upgraded the stereo in our teen daughters vehicle, and also added a rear camera and navigation. She wins because her jams sound better, we win because shes safer--and on those occasions when I end up driving her car, MY jams sound better. They do great work--go see Don.

The guys (Dave and Don) at Car Toys Frisco took great care of me. They thoroughly explained options, without being pushy. They had interactive demos and were knowledgeable about their products. The install team did a great job getting an electric start, digital media receiver, and back up cam set up in my car all in one day. Id highly recommend these guys.

I walked into Car Toys wanting to upgrade my audio and saw that they also installed tint as well. Cory was a GREAT help. He navigated me through making a choice on a audio player and explained how they’d work with my phone as well. Cory also explained very thoroughly the difference in the tiny options to ensure I was knowledgeable before my purchase. To top it all off Dustin found time to complete my install of both my audio player and tinted windows the same day! I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the staff and the willingness to help me figure out what was best for me.

If you are looking to do anything aftermarket regarding sound, alarm or paint supreme work please visit this store! I will keep going back because of the 10 star service from Sara on the sales side and Pedro building the extreme boom system! I am not only happy with my 2018 Platinum Superduty sound system but now I am taking them my 2020 Audi R8 Turbo and a custom order Z51 Corvette. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else! My husband got truck detailing done I believe by Danny? Such a great job! His truck was pretty much brought back to life! I am the wife and even I was amazed!!!!! He also had a new sound system installed and my husband is loving it! He is like a little kid loving his new toy.

Working with Nick Adams and Pedro Rodriguez was one of the most pleasurable experiences I’ve had in upgrading my Tacoma. They took their time in listening to what I wanted, what were my concerns, what my budget was and the type of music that I listened to. I felt as though I was their only client during the entire process. At one-point Pedro even took me out to his car and showed me what today’s systems are capable of, that was nice.During my entire experience I never felt as though I was being pressured into having to buy something that wasn’t part of my overall goal. At each step I was shown what the best options were for me and they answered any questions I had about various products and what they used in their personal vehicles.I highly recommend them.

This is the second car these guys have helped me with and their work is always super clean. On my latest build today I dropped by because I needed some wire cut in my car(lack of proper tools). The assistant Manager Dustin came out and cut the wires for me on this 105 degree day. Awesome guys up here!

We had a great experience at this Car Toys location recently. We asked Bruce (Sales) and Chris (Installer) to install a trailer wiring connection harness, a rear view camera, and to make the camera work through the factory head unit.We also got the vehicle detailed. Im a former Detailer, so I know that Im a tough customer on that front.Everything was done well and done on time. Communications were clear throughout, and all of the costs were explained and were reasonable.This was our third major transaction at this location; we remain confident in using and recommending them to our friends and family.

Our car was in desperate need of detailing after 2 road trips to Michigan. I brought it in to be detailed and was blown away by the level of attention given. It looked amazing and the staff was very kind and thorough.

I’ve taken all my Mercedes to the Frisco location and every time Sara and the staff there have done an outstanding job with my cars. It’s rare for me to take my high end luxury vehicles somewhere and not have to worry about the care and quality of the work performed on them; however I never have to worry about quality at the Frisco location. Truly grateful to Sara and the staff for the amazing work!!!

David did a fantastic job with the ceramic coat, paint correction and polishing. Did fantastic work getting out a lot of past neglect and swirls in paint. Team also did a great job with remote start and custom power wiring required. Will definitely use again!

Every time I come into this Car Toys I experience amazing customer service and the work they do is pristine! They’ve done both my radio installation and the tint on all of my windows. I’ve worked with Alan a few times and he is always knowledgeable and kind! I really think this crew puts their heart into the work they’re doing. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

I had to make 5 trips to the store to get my stereo installed due to problems with the installation. Once problems arose management did not get the issues resolved in a satisfactory or timely manner. My stereo works now but I dont have audible sound for my blinkers, forward collision, lane departure or back up warning. I made the store aware of the issue but I have not gotten a call back with a resolution.

My radio was 25 yrs old and I couldnt turn the volume down .went to car toys and got a new radio. These guys and gals were fantastic super nice and very helpful. Thank you so much for your help.

I recently had a new stereo, back-up camera, and windows tinted in my 2010 Mazda CX-9. The sales associate I worked with, Don, was great. He was very knowledgeable, but not pushy. He just laid out all the options for my wife and I, and let us make our decision. Our installer, Damien (not sure if that is the correct spelling) did a wonderful job. The finished product looked clean. We dropped off our car at noon and were told it would be done around 6:45. They were able to finish a couple hours early. Overall, a wonderful experience all the way around.

Car toys on Preston in frisco is definitely the place to go if you need a new sound system or anything installed. Sarah, Dan, Pedro, and Charles Took great care of my truck. I got all new door speakers, 2 amps, a 10 inch sub, and a remote start installed. Sounds amazing and they are very cool people and very trust worthy. Definitely will be back.

Was jsut looking to add some bass to my 16 yr. old daughters new car. Sara was SO well-versed in technical specs, options, and their available systems that fell into our price range. Our set up needed some adjustments the next day for our preference and she again was beyond accommodating!

Bruce took care of me with no questions asked other than, what can I do for you?!Long time customers got a system from them years ago, decided to transfer the equipment to a new car and teach myself along the way. Needed to assemble a new power wire for my amp, instead of buying the tools, Bruce assured me he could take care of it, let me walk in, get my cut, strip and crimp done and be on my way in less than 20 minutes. Definitely gonna be stopping by more frequently to take advantage of the awesome atmosphere and some unique items they have for sale in the lobby, Japanese air fresheners!

I had an issue with my sub and amp and made a very long drive to get it fixed here at the Frisco location and it was definitely worth the hour in traffic. Pedro and Bruce took care of me very professionally and addressed my needs with honesty. They make you feel very welcomed into the shop. You can easily see their passion for audio equipment and its never a dull moment being at this shop. Will forever continue to come here. Customer service is, top notch!

Car toys went above and beyond to explain the system elements in a car that I purchased. The team upgraded the firmware on the radio and got Apple car play to work. They also did some troubleshooting to get all speakers working. Very knowledgeable or radio systems and alarms. Recommend going to see these guys that know this stuff inside out and look after their customers.

Pedro and Don were very attentive and polite. Brought my subs and amp in to have them installed after deciding I wanted it done professionally. Paid more than I wanted to, but its a job well done.

*Update* from my previous post I wasn’t clear on exactly what I needed installed so I made a follow up appointment and they took care of it no questions asked. They installed exactly the parts needed and even placed the amp where I can hide it. These guys are definitely worth the money.

One of the best experiences Ive ever had I got in and they were quick to assist me and took my car back immediately and worked hard at finding out why my amp wouldnt shut off. After doing three different tests they found out the reason and laughed and took care of it and now my stereo is up and running and Im very happy! Good people that werent bothered by working hard you can tell they were happy at their job thank you car toys guys!!!

Sarah did an amazing job helping me pick out the proper equipment for my car and Pedro did outstanding work installing everything. From the amplifier rack to the wiring and radio installation, everything is clean and amazing. The time he took with the car to ensure everything was perfect is something you do not see anymore. Love the staff and the fact that Sarah sold me on equipment that I listened to and liked over more expensive equipment that did not meet my acoustical taste. Cant say enough good things about this shop or its people. This is the third car of mine that they have improved for me over the years and they are awesome!

Will never recommend Car Toys in Frisco. In mid-September, I paid $2800 for a stereo system with a backup camera. I wish now that I HAD NEVER DONE THIS.  I have been back to this place over 5 times since September, with stereo problems and installation issues. The stereo would not play all the time.  Said they fixed it, but had to keep going back because stereo kept cutting off. The door chime sound when the key is in the ignition was way too loud. Took it back for this problem.  Then my power mirrors stopped working!  Each time they could not find what was wrong.  Finally I took it to my truck dealership. They found that when CarToys put the door panel back on the passenger side door, they screwed into the wiring harness shorting out the power mirrors. There were also broken door panel clips when they did the stereo speaker installation. The last time I was there, I watched what they did because I no longer trusted them with my truck.   Now today, the backup camera stopped working!...took it back and was told the camera was bad!!  What next is going to happen??  And what happens when my warranty runs out???  I want the system taken out but I do not want them to touch my truck anymore because of their poor quality workmanship. The manager, Allen, does not understand that I do not want them to touch my truck anymore. So it appears I am STUCK with a messed up system!!!! CAR TOYS IS NOT THE BETTER WAY TO GO!!

Talk about excellent service, Allan, the Store Manager went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family! We had the ultimate exterior detail done to my car for a reasonable price. Dave made my car look show room ready and as a detail enthusiast, was very satisfied with his quality of work. Allan and his store has earned my trust and confidence. Highly recommend!

Prices are too high for quality of work. Took a car in for the classic interior detail and was expecting a spotless interior however it could have still been vacuumed better. Expect car to be kept majority of the day, but staff is still nice. Just wish the interior was done a little better for how much I paid
