This dollar store just opened up on the corner of Stonebrook and 423. Its tucked away in the stores behind the CVS near the dry cleaners and dentist office.The store was neat and clean. I liked the store space, but do not be deceived. This is no Dollar Tree or 99 cent store. It is more of an upscale dollar store. Most items are more than a dollar. For this reason, I am giving this store 4 stars. Its not a dollar store in the true sense of the word, but it is a neat space.

Great concept. Family owned and local. Many items are $2, others are specialty items made in TX and others are products that are just more than a dollar.

Great selection to choose from. My friend turned me onto this place after introducing me to my new favorite hot sauce. I ended up walking out with 2 other new sauces Ive never heard of, both of which are also possibly new favorites. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful (something you dont see often anymore). I will definitely be recommending this place to friends in the area.

I was visiting my sister and her fiance in Frisco and was out on my way to Walmart one evening. There are so very many new little places to check out and thisDollar Store, on the left side of Stonebrook heading east from the Del Webb community, caught my eye. Its called the Barnyard Dollar Store. Its not your typical Dollar Store. Its quaint, but there are many different things to look at and purchase than what you find at a Dollar General Store. They encourage local products. The manager was very kind and helpful. I purchased a couple of things that I had not seen at other dollar stores. He made it a point to greet me upon entering the store, asking if there was anything in particular I was looking for or that he could help me find. Also, upon leaving, he thanked me for stopping in and welcomed me to return whenever I was in town. He informed me that they received new inventory on a regular basis. It was a fun little store to explore.

LOVE this store. Not only does it have cool Texas only items, but the prices on the everyday essentials are great. The store is clean and organized. I typically dont find that in other dollar type of stores. Lastly, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you havent visited this store, you need to give it a try. Lets all support locally owned business like Barnyard Dollar Store!!!

Quaint small store. Has a variety of convenient food options, along with toiletries. The prices are very affordable. I like that they offer items that are locally sourced. Its a family run business, and the owner was very friendly.

I stopped in with my family over the Christmas holiday to pick up some last-minute gifts for my dog children. They had chew toys for less than a dollar that my Lab and Pit both enjoyed and kept them occupied while the rest of our family opened our human gifts! Toys i buy at Petsmart never last that long and are far more expensive. Will definitely be back!

Barnyard is a little gem that you hope to find but, rarely do. I had a lot of fun poking around the store. Its owner run so that makes it feel less corporate and more interesting. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Hidden gem, a dollar store that specializes in local Texas made products. Youll find the typical dollar store fare as well as artisan soaps, tons of hot sauces and a lot more. Worth visiting just to see the place as it has an awesome rustic design. The owner Steve is super friendly and helpful.

Shopping at Barnyard Dollar Store & More was incredible. The high energy exhibited by the staff made me want to stay all day and find hidden gems. The layout and organization of the store allowed me and my family to find everything we needed from kitchen supplies to a new T-shirt. Highly recommend everyone stopping in.

I prefer local businesses over big box. A nice addition to the community and ha a good variety. If they do not have something you are looking for..ask. Good variety of goods and no long lines!

Fun little shop. Very similar to a dollar store but cleaner and more product. Some Texas themed items good for out of town souvenirs.

Great store with friendly staff. They supply everything you would get at Wal Mart without having to deal with the Wal Martians. They also stock items made by locals from Texas. Ask about their Rewards Program for even more savings!

During a roadtrip I stopped in to Barnyard Dollar Store and I could not have been more pleased! They had an awesome local selection of merchandise and being a Texas native that was so important to me. The staff went above and beyond, they were so friendly and helpful! While not everything in the store was a dollar or less, it was still a bargain. I even picked up a few unique things for my classroom. This will definitely be a must stop anytime I’m in the metroplex!

I liked that they had locally made items there like O-B-Que and the selection of other items was good. The employees were helpful and eager to assist any way that they could that is something you really dont find any more.

Off the wall place, more in the middle of a dollar store and dollar general type store.We didnt purchase much on our first visit as we were checking out the place.But would definitely return and recommend the place.

Really a waste of time nothing much in the store is a dollar! Not sure why its called Barnyard dollar store... . Nothing in the store worth buying just over priced cheap items. I rather keep shopping at the dollar tree. I see that its hard to put in a true review with out all the back lash from the store owner. Sorry but Sir... Thats why its a review! Thanks and I will continue shopping at my cookie cutter store. Sometimes the truth hurts.

I personally won’t be going back. Over half of the items I bought turned out to be terrible quality. I wanted to like it due to it being a local owner but was not impressed. I bought a duster that was supposed to be washable but just fell apart in the wash and fluff was everywhere. I also bought some food containers, but the lids wouldn’t stay on them so I have to tape the lid down when I put food in it (and no, it wasn’t overfilled) lol the toilet bowl wand was just a bit too flimsy and the brissles kept falling off of it after a few uses. Also I have to say for a place to be called a dollar store you’d expect at least the candy or drinks to be a dollar but they were the same price as any other store. Like I said, I wanted to like this place but would recommend to anyone to just go to the regular Dollar Store instead. The quality is better there.
