I took my car in to Matthews Auto Center for a Virginia state inspection and oil change. They are absolutely lovely people and did good, quick work on my vehicle. While I was there, I got a quote for some additional work needed and it was a very fair price, so Ill be taking my car back to them for that repair and plan to return for anything else I need in the future. In sum: good prices, good people! Theres a reason they are busy!

Matthews does good work. Prices are comparable and often much better than dealership. They will try to work you in and are very good and call backs and price quotes pretty much on the money. If they cant help you they may know who can. I highly recommend them.

My car needed a lot of work and other shops told me it wasnt worth it and priced it pretty high. Matthews checked my car out and found things the other shops missed. Fast and kind service staff

(About 2 months ago) I bought a car that failed state inspection because the last owner cut the muffler off (shady dealer in Stafford) asked Matthews auto to add a muffler I bought and a hangar and to reinspect the car so it would be legal. Picked up the car and went home, looked underneath and saw some decent welds, 3 hangars welded to the body and noticed they cut off all the rusted exhaust pipe at the end and replaced it, they also added a 6” length of pipe to the muffler tip so it actually went past the bumper so it would pass inspection honestly. not a single leak or problem since. Didn’t know what to expect when I brought the car here as I usually do all my own work but these guys are officially the only shop I would trust with my cars. Good to know if there’s anything I don’t have the time or equipment to do myself. Highly recommended.

They diagnosed and repaired my 2005 Honda CRV correctly after I had it towed there by AAA. I will use them again if I need repairs.

These guys were so helpful, we were on our way from Florida to New Hampshire and were having a issue with our truck and they took it in right away even though they were swamped. Then looked over the whole truck greased some joints and gave some advice and didnt charge anything. Outstanding people with great integrity, I highly recommend.

Ive taken all of my vehicles to Matthews for the last 15 years and Ill never take them anywhere else as long as I live within an hours drive. Theyre honest, fast, thorough, skilled, very affordable, and very nice to work with. Weve had em work on a BMW, a Mercedes, Jeeps, Nissans, Subarus, Fords... and weve never had an issue they couldnt resolve. Howard and his staff have been fantastic to us over the years.

I have been here 3x and each of those times was a very pleasant experience. They kept me up to date about my vehicle and did very thorough work. I highly recommend matthews auto and its the only place I will take my vehicle.

My fiance took her car here for brakes because she felt it must be that time, and instead of just taking her money they called to tell her it wasnt necessary yet. Absolutely fabulous! My first experience with Matthew was in July when the serpentine belt and one of its pulleys on my car failed and it was towed to Matthews. They had it repaired within a few hours for a total of $350 including 10 miles of towing.Yesterday my car was inspected for just $16. It needed 1 new tire and 2 light bulbs which I purchased at Autozone and the bulbs were installed for no additional charge today. The staff at Mathew are courteous, trustworthy & prompt. I waited no more than 20 minutes on either occasion. They have earned my unwavering loyalty.

Ive gone to Matthews Auto Center for every single car event since 2007. I would never bring my car anywhere else. I have always had the work done efficiently, promptly, and honestly. They have brought dead cars back to life and extended the life of my latest car for six months. I have moved an hour away, but I still bring my car back to them every time.
