Took my truck to the dealership I was told 6500 to have it replaced and it would be about 10 business days decided to take it to Aamco Fullerton since I heard good things about them. Truck was done for a couple thousand less and done in 4.5 days. Truck runs like new couldn’t be happier. Major thumbs up

Check Engine light and misfire. Got computer reprogrammed. Now running normal again. Its only for one and a 1/2 hour of driving the next day check engine light came on again I have a programmer and reset it myself the next day it came on again I called amco they said I need to bring it into an Aamco for a 90 day warranty theres no Aamco in my area I have to go back to Arizona now Im out $320 thanks for nothing Aamco
Went here for the first time with my vehicle I did not even have to have my transmission fluid changed but the Buick dealership said I did I came here and they saved me approximately $150 and the staff was wonderful very professional and very explanatory. Didn’t bother to look at my car within the 3 and a HALF hours that I left it there. I had a bad feeling after I read the reviews so I called after 3 hours and a half and he said “sweety you need to have patience”Please don’t call me sweety and tell me to have patience. For that reason I will not return very unprofessional if you’re going to run a business be professional costumer service is EVERYTHING
Besides my transmission service being well over due, I went in because I thought I felt it slip. Manager was great in explaining to me what they will do and if they come across any issues they will stop and explain everything to me. No issues. Transmission service complete. I can feel the difference. Running alot smoother. The manager also recommended a great breakfast spot, Georges, around the corner. It was great, thanks for the recommendation

In my experience, Aamco has always given excellent service. I had my 97 Dodge van transmission rebuilt, heavy duty with new external cooler, for $4,300. Not the cheapest out there, but it comes with a 3-year warranty, as long as you keep a yearly checkup schedule that will run about $200.. well.... thats my 2cents!
Took my car in for a new radiator, dude told me he by law must do a engine diagnostic. Three hours later I gave up and picked up the car and went down the street to Ford. Ford told me no there is no such law and within 90 minutes got a call telling me the cost to replace the radiator.
Very pleased with the services that I received, all involved were very nice and acted professionally, will return to work done in the future.
I was very impressed by Rick and his honesty. He was upfront and informed me that until he checked the car out he wont know what is wrong. After checking it out he found that an axel was broken and replaced it. He test drove the car after the repair and confirmed that everything else was working fine. Im thankful for his honesty and thorough check of all the workings of my car.

I have a 2013 Jeep Lattitude, which I recently paid off. Had been taking it in for regular maintenance to Pepboys on Harbor in Fullerton for years. But was not happy with their service techs. Pepboys work not as always good or consistent and I would have to retake Jeep in extra times. I had been wanting to find a better place for service. About three weeks ago had to drive out to Moreno Valley. It was 90 degrees out had my car air conditioning on high, going up freeway incline. I got a transmission warning lot on. Had to pull over off freeway in Moreno Valley. I was scared, had my daughter and her boyfriend in car. I called my local Pepboys in Fullerton. Every single time I had gone to them I ALWAYS say please check fluids, everything. They always said yes, but they did not. Reason why I had to take it back more times. So I questioned Pepboys manager about my transmission. My Jeep has over 103,000 miles. He told me they dont check transmissions. I thought all these years and times of going there, Pepboys would have at least told me. Never once did they talk to me about my transmission. I thought they were checking fluid. My transmission did not have dip stick, it was sealed they said. So they just never bothered telling me. I was not very happy as I did not know this. I was relying on Pepboys to be more professional. So they told me I should have had my transmission checked about every 50,000 miles. Well, my Jeep was 53,000 overdue because Pepboys failed to tell me. I will not go back to Pepboys ever.I CALLED MY LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP, BUT JUST TO CHECK MY TRANS IT WOULD COST ME MINIMUM $225.00. IF THEY HAD TO REPAIR IT COULD BE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS.SINCE I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE MY TRANS CHECKED. I CALLED MY LOCAL.AAMCO FULLERTON FOR FIRST TIME. SPOKE WITH RICK.HE TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN, NO CHARGE AT ALL TO CHECK IT.BUT IT TAKES 2 TO 3 HOURS, BECAUSE THEY CHECK CARS FOR FREE, BUT DO PROCESS IN BETWEEN OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE COMMITTED JOBS.STILL IT WAS FREE FOR CHECK SO I COULD KNOW WHAT ACTUAL ISSUES WERE AND WHAT IT COST?RICK RESEARCHED MY JEEP TYPE AND EVEN CALLED A COLLEAGE WHO KNOWS ALOT ABOUT MY TYPE OF VEHICLE. AT FIRST HE GAVE ME A QUOTE OF $500.00 SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO G ED T A NEW THERMOSTATE. IT WAS NOT READING. BLEED TRANS PUT NEW FLUID. BUT AFTER HE CALLED COLLEAGE, HE FOUND MY JEEP HAD 2 THERMOSTSTS. HE SAID IT WOULD BE CLOSER TO $650.00 FOR EVERYTHING. HE SAID HE WOULD WORK OUT NEW QUOTE TOLD ME HE WOULD HONOR HIS ORIGINAL QUOTE. MY FINAL BILL.WAS $489.00. I HAD TO LEAVE MY JEEP OVERNIGHT. RICK DROVE ME HOME AND PICKED ME UP NEXT MORNING. MY JEEP IS NOW IN GOOD RUNNING CONDITION. HIS SHOP CAN HANDLE EVERYTHING EXCEPT TIRES. SO FROM NOW ON, I WILL GO TO RICKS AAMCO ON EUCLID IN FULLERTON. HE HAS BEEN WORKING FOR AAMCO OVER 25 YEARS. HE IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEADGEABLE. KNOWS COLLEAGUES WHO ARE ALSO HE CAN CONFER WITH. HE WAS VERY FAIR AND I HAVE PEACE OF MIND KNOWING MY JEEP IS FIXED PROPERLY. HIS TECHS CHECKED ALL MY FLUIDS, TOPPED OFF COOLANT ALSO. RICK ALSO GAVE ME A SUMMARY SHEET ATRACHED TO MY ORDER TO ADVISE WHEN I.WOULD NEED FUTURE SERVICES DONE. SINCE HIS TECHS HANDLE ALL SERVICES, I WILL SWITCH AND GO THERE FROM NOW ON. THANK YOU
Better care than Pep Boys, for sure. Got my problem fixed, and it was fixed, and, two weeks later it is STILL fixed. Unlike Pep Boys where I am now on the 3rd starter, and will be going back AGAIN to make them replace it AGAIN. I would gladly pay a bit extra to know it is done right the first time! Love my Aamco.
This place will ruin your car and hand it back to you. My car was driving when I brought it in and when i picked it up -it made it across the street before it completely stopped and i had to get it towed. They will be nice to you and act like they are willing to help but when i went back to them after my car died they acted as if they had no responsibility for what happened. They said they test drove my car and i know they had to have pushed it too much so i would have to replace the transmission drums with them. AVOID this place its nothing but people just trying to make money off of you

My transmission started failing on my Nissan and when calling around to different shops Rick told me that I should call Nissan public relations because he saw that it was still under warranty. His honesty created a loyal customer and if Nissan can’t do anything to fix my car I will definitely be coming to AAMCO for my repairs.

My transmission unexpectedly gave out. I had my Chevy Silverado towed to AAMCO in Fullerton. Not knowing what to expect I was a nervous wreck. But Rick, the mgr, went over the top in helping me get back on the road. He work the numbers tofit my tiny budget. I did think it was possible. AVOID this place at all COSTS!!!!!! My boyfriend took his car in because the check engine light came on, at first the technician, Rick was very friendly offered a free diagnosis and provided a hand written quote.We decided to have the care repaired there since it was near our house. He was told the job would take about a week because the sensor would have to be ordered but to our surprise the car was ready within a few hours. Less than 24 hours after picking the car up the check engine light comes back on!!! He called Rick to find out why and if the car had actually been worked on and of course friendly Rick is now defensive saying it could be something else and they cant tell the future!!! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!!! $650 down the drain. These people are a bunch of crooks looking to make a quick buck!!!

The manager Aaron was great i.towed my truck there. Transmission problems. Well the diagnosis was bad. He reluctantly informed me I needed a new transmission. But the way he told me was what set him apart. He was genuinely sad to give me the news. I could tell immediatly based on our phone call and my visit that he. I had originally been going to Toms Transmission but her retired and I was orphaned. A couple of months later I noticed some people working on the property as though they were getting ready to open up again but the name was changed. When I saw the Aamco logo I was a little reluctant due to previous experience we had in Whittier many years ago. I went in and noticed one of the mechanics that worked on my car when the place was Toms. So I then felt at ease and left my 91 Mustang, my babe, with them and they did not disappoint me one bit. Worst car repair experience I have ever had in my life. My sons car will have been there for THREE WEEKS in a few days. Every time I have had contact with them there is another issue and an up charge. My son is a college student and needs his car to get himself and three friends home. School ended so staying in the dorm is not an option. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AAMCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My check engine light was on I had taken it to Orileys before I received a code, so I decide to take it to Aamco to see if they could fix the problem, when they did the test apparently they couldnt figure it out, so they did a complete diagnosed ( $189) still couldnt figure it out, they said the only thing they found was that my air filter was alittli lose. The check engine as been off until a few days ago .this time I took it to AutoZone the same code came up . So why cant Aamco get this code ?The Manager was nice, but i had to call (2)to figure out what was going on with my car when they had it, I knew they closed at 5, so i called at 5 to see what was going on and Thats when I was told that they would need to keep my car, I told him that I understand that their busy but letting me know that they have to keep my car would have been nice . He said he doesnt call until they close and thats when he lets customers know .Im so disappointed I feel Like this is a big company that just took advantage of me, just goes to show that you cant trust anyone . Their are no more honest companys .Thanks for nothing.

So I am on my third visit after getting my transmission rebuild (when I originally came in for a slow leak, reseal). It is 8:47 waiting the manager since 8:00. I have been complaining about how ruff the transmission feels and how whiny the torque convert is. Now they are blaming the transmission mount and they are going swap converters. I dont understand why they even think the car was ok to return like this. I am hoping that the owners read this and contacts me for better details. At this point friendly customer service does not cut it. I need my car fixed as I already paid for repairs. Your car is suppose to run better after service not before!8/28/18 3:13 PM. My review will change pending the final outcome.8/31/18: I got my mustang back yesterday as promised, however this morning I found and 8-inch in diameter oil spot of transmission fluid. This is totaling 3 visits and 3 weeks. This is completely unacceptable. Dont be the next me, the stress headache is not worth it.10/2018: Turns out my original leak was from the dipstick seal. It made me believe I didnt need a rebuild in the first place.01/20/19: Back to the shop. Torque converter started to whine again. I meet with Rick (which I believe is the manager) and it turns out all previous visits were noted as fluid leak, they didnt notate that they replaced the torque converter. If you look at the managers reply in this thread, they admittedly replaced it.2000 Silver Mustang GT.

It has been a mixed bag of service quality so far. Took wifeys car there for a water pump then about a week later a speed sensor failure. After the speed sensor (hub) was replaced it was running poorly when hot... Asked to check for exhaust leaks when cold. They didnt find any. As wifey has been driving our backup car it hasnt been a problem for me to have the car for a few days. I left a coffee shop about 2 miles from home, headed towards home, the car said reduced power and threw a vomit load of codes... I didnt have my code scanner but the through the DIC in the CTS I was able to view them. The main problem seemed to be the throttle body. I popped the hood and the throttle body connector was not plugged in all the way nor was the safety latch snapped in. Plugged the connector in, snapped the safety latch in and got home okay. Was having hesitation from a stop so I did a throttle relearn on the car the next morning and all is okay now. I dont know when the connector was unplugged, however, I presume it may have been unplugged when the water pump was replaced. I was told they did a throttle body relearn after the front hubs were replaced. Its hard to find a good auto repair shop and I believe the techs at this Aamco are honest and they are trying hard to do quality work. This is a busy repair shop and I believe that if I would have had my car towed in, Mike and his team would have been honest about the problem and the repair.Edited: after I replaced the injectors because one failed I discovered that the weld on the flange at the top end of the pipe to the catalytic converter was cracked. Reducing overall rating to 2 stars and will not return.Edited after owner response:Mike: Ill bring in the same car (04 Cadi CTS 3.6L 168k) for you to figure out the random popping noise at wifeys convenience, in the next week - 23 Aug 18 to 30 Aug 18. I cant find any other problems at the moment...30 Aug: Wifey said not going to happen... They had the car long enough already, and some other choice words that I cant repeat here.
