Very Clean Place. I have never been to one of these places. The ice cream was Amazing. Tasty and Creamy. Love the Flavors so much. You have Got to try the ... Taiyaki ... !! Funny looking, but it has got a good taste. Maybe close to a pancake of sorts. I really enjoyed the Twist of Flavors that they have got there. You have Got to try this place.

The matcha soft serve was good and the taro filled taiyaki wasnt bad. Ill definitely return.

Always have issues when I come here. My taiyaki is always hard and cold when I specifically ask for it warm ( FRESH ) not hard and cold. Employees dont manage this situation correctly when I address it. Really frustrating.

This is an interesting ice cream place their fish shaped waffle cones were pretty tasty and they have a lot of options. My wife and 2 small children really enjoyed our ice cream and the cones had a very interesting texture, sort of like mochi?

Cute little spot to get ice cream its kinda a building your own fish ice cream. You can choose a filling for the fish the ice cream you want and the toppings you would like to add. Great photo ops.

Best place by far for some memorable taiyaki, small place you can miss easily but trust me, you dont want to skip this place with the best trusting customer service and best soft serves around town.

Found out they opened just in time for 100 degree weather. That taiyaki dough adds something special to soft serve. Theres a little courtyard with open seating connected for Covid friendly dining. Definitely will be back soon!

You know the taiyaki is gonna be good when you are enclosed in your car driving home and the smell of fragrent cooked mochi batter just blows your direction... Must resist temptation to eat it before getting home and sharing.I could claim I didnt buy any but I would have to get rid of the evidence but what if my gf gets in the car and smells it. Its like cheating, but food cheating. Yeah asian desserts like taiyaki from somi somi are GOOD. Just resist the urge to eat it steaming hot.

This is our first time there and we really loved the ice cream and waffle fish thing. obviously Ive had soft serve ice cream before but this place had great unique flavors and this fish shaped waffle which Ive never had before. It really goes well together just like a good waffle cone but I like it better actually. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love to be there. We also like that they had seating outside on Wilshire which was clean.

First time trying it and I really enjoyed it. The texture of the taiyaki was perfect. Crispy on the outside, chewy inside. They put a topping in it. I went with custard since its my favorite.Then they put it on top of the swirled soft serve I chose. I really enjoyed the black sesame, though I didnt really taste the oreo flavor that was swirled in.At the end you can pick toppings to add at no additional charge, they arent substantial, more like an added bonus. They said I can pick as many as I want, I went with just a macaroon. My son got fruity pebbles, sprinkles, and a macaroon.Overall I recommend it. It seems pricey, but it cost less than other ice cream places around here... and it was more ice cream than I thought we would receive. I couldnt finish it. Its a good sharing amount.

My new favorite place! Super clean, super friendly staff. Delicious goodies and priced just right! The family and I cannot wait to go back and try more. I had the milk/matcha with the fish shaped waffle on top filled with red bean. Sooooooo good! Came with a tiny, adorable macaron. Soo good!

The place was so cute inside and outside. The staff was very friendly and service was fast. The ice cream was awesome and the flavors are unique. Sesame ice cream is my favorite and the Ube is a must, but the regular Milk is good also.. I loved the Taiyaki!! It was prefect sweet where it wasnt overwhelming. I loved the red bean filling! The custard was also the same sweetness and I prefer it to be that way, lightly sweetened. It was all affordable and the toppings were free. I visited at night where the patio area was beautiful lit. The shop is located right at the corner of Harbor and Ameriage. Theres so many restaurants and bars nearby, Somi Somi is a great addition to the area.

Great service by a great team. There was a minor mistake that was quickly and happily rectified. This shined as many other employees at various establishments we have experienced recently get defensive and become stand off ish when they make a mistake or something is wrong. Not here, very quick and happy to fix. I ordered 3 taiyaki soft serves and 2 warm filled taiyaki.Oreo soft serve with custard taiyaki, my most favorite combo. The oreo soft serve was delicious! Very clean and dense with that highly distinguishable oreo flavor. The fish waffle had very good flavor and texture, not too sweet and not bland. Slightly crispy on the outside but also nice and subtly chewy, very good. The custard is also light a delicious. Not heavy like many other custards and not too sweet like most custards. Truly delicious and a great compliment in this wheelhouse.Oreo with Nutella filled taiyaki: similar to the last but with delicious warm Nutella, I wonderful comboMilk tea/sesame swirl: not quite what I expected, the sesame threw me off but if you like sesame, its what youd expect. I had this with a custard taiyakiWarm taiyaki with Red Bean: very delicious, i recommend ordering a warm taiyaki in addition to whatever else you order. This is not to be missed! The warmth is what really sets this apart from all other menu items.Warm taiyaki with custard: my most favorite! Had the matcha Oreo ice cream with a custard taiyaki. Was pretty good overall, though the after flavors are overpowering and lingers. The store itself is really loud. I dont think theres any sound dampening materials inside.
