I went over the weekend looking to trade my jeep compass and get something new. Antonio helped me throughout the day on Saturday and made sure that I left in a car that I loved and was super reliable!
I never write reviews, but we had such an exceptionally poor experience that I feel compelled to share in the interest of other out-of-state buyers. We’ve been communicating daily for two weeks with Antonio about a van that had yet to pass through service and inspection. Although there was great interest, we were the first to reach out and offered to put a deposit down multiple times to secure the sale. We were told placing a deposit before the car was formally approved for sale was not possible, but that we would have priority to purchase. Further, outside of the numerous calls, we were promised on multiple occasions via text to be notified as soon as the vehicle was ready. After two weeks and countless hours checking in daily with Antonio, we called the dealership directly only to find the vehicle had been sold the day prior. Out of state buyers beware. A simple, proactive phone call to explain the situation would have been appreciated, but instead we were ghosted by our salesperson. We put a ton of time and energy into this sale, and meanwhile lost an opportunity to act on another vehicle as we were promised this one at Roger Shifflet Ford. We are massively disappointed by the lack of responsibility, professionalism, and organization by the sales staff. I cannot recommend this dealership.
Dropped my truck off just after opening for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Made it back to the dealership roughly an hour before they closed and not a thing was done to the truck. 7+ hours is more than enough time in my opinion. Only reason I brought it in to get it done was to have a paper trail for resale value. Lost any faith I had in this dealership.
Very pleased! They were well organized and efficient. And dont get me started on the massive big screen tv in the showroom seating area!
This is the ONLY place to buy a car. Great staff, I feel like the dealership gave me a realistic trade in value for my car instead of low balling my car. I told the sales rep that I would return the next morning to finalize the purchase.informed him my wife has multiple health issues and wasn’t going out much. When we drove on the lot the next morning they were sanitizing the entry door handles, desk chairs and pens to ease her concerns.
Basically they always send oil change coupons in the mail, which are a great deal and a few oil changes back when I told the lady I had a coupon she was quickly dismissive saying yeah they always had that. And theyve never asked me for the coupon beforehand so I stopped bringing them which hasnt been a problem until this past oil change where they just didnt apply it. Which yeah I should have caught before paying, but the guy I spoke to on the phone was very rude about it and basically called me a liar and said screw you, your problem. He tried saying the prices went up conviently that morning until I mentioned my brother just had his oil change that morning where they applied the coupon no problem without asking for it. My dad, my brother, and I have all bought cars from here, but screw us right? I dont suggest dealing with anyone here. Not the first time theyve been rude to me.

Made a appointment to have my back up camera fixed on my 2020 F350 two weeks prior to coming. Truck was dropped off at 8:00 AM was called at 10:00 AM said truck would be ready by noon. Pick truck up at noon, and no one has even looked at it. Service department is beyond rude and told me that technician had not had time to look at it because he was in the middle of replacing a motor. That is not my problem! I was told trunk was ready to be picked up after having to leave work twice my truck is still not fixed. We have done lots of work and purchased many vehicles from Roger Shiflett Ford, and we will not be back ever again!!
I have purchased many vehicles and never have I had a experience like this one. This was everything I could have dreamed a truck buying experience could be. This will definitely be my first and only stop when it comes time for the next one! All around great experience.
To be totally transparent I did not end up buying with this dealership because I found a better deal elsewhere on a new 2020 transit 350. With that said I cannot say enough good things about the service I received during the looking and negotiation process. Antonio Parker and his manager were excellent. They were extremely responsive, helpful, knowledgeable and understanding throughout the process. I also love the fact that they do not charge the BS documentation fee that many other dealers hit you with on the tail end. I will definitely reach out to this crew first next time I’m in the market for a new vehicle

This place was awesome! Shout out to ANTONIO PARKER! I live in Griffin GA and saw the vehicle online and knew I was going to get it. I drove from Griffin GA to South Carolina. We started the paper work over the phone. By the time I got there to test drive the car ANTONIO was outside ready to greet me. He was very professional!During the signing of the documents they did pressure me to purchase additional services. They simply asked if I would like additional services and said no. Open shut. I was able to complete the transaction very satisfied. I even received a courtesy call a few days later.Thanks again ANTONIO PARKER!

Never ever will I buy another vehicle from this dealership. I purchased 2 Ford Vans as a repeat customer this year and after receiving both vehicles I have had nothing but difficulty trying to get the titles and license plates. My sales person was Steve Sluis and the finance person was Kayla. Due to several rounds of miss information from the dealership I am now stuck sorting out the situation with the Division of Motor Vehicles.
It looked promising. Made an appointment online. Their system allowed me to select a day and time. It even gave me the service tech to speak with.......Then I arrived. Walked in and explained I was looking for the service tech denoted on my online appointment (see photo). The lady replied “He doesn’t work here anymore”. OK, no big deal. So they don’t keep up with that online. I can see that. I explain I am there for a recall. She asks “Is it a diesel?”. That’s when the second bad feeling started. Yes, I replied. Then the final strike. The lady replied “We will have to reschedule that. Our diesel man is out until Thursday.So I made the appointment online. I feel sure their computer system would have told them I had a scheduled appointment, for a DIESEL. So I drive all the way there, they can’t fix a FORD RECALL and no, “I’m sorry”, “let me see what I can do”, or anything. Only let me know they have ONE diesel guy and no one knows how to use a computer. Never to return.
Purchased new car at Roger Shiflett Ford. Cost over $350.00 for transmission fluid & filter. Will not go back!

Kept my truck 5 days, engine light was on, running not quite as it should. They replaced the water pump, 8 spark plugs, and a coil pack. 1600.00. The engine light came on as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot. It ran worse than when I took it in.

As a female traveling solo, I appreciate the service provided by this dealership. On a recent trip, my panel displayed a tire pressure sensor error message. As I was approximately an hour from my destination, I didnt want to take chances on having a flat tire and stopped by RS Ford. They performed diagnostic services and assured me that it was safe to travel. I was not charged for this service. (When I returned home, my local dealership - to whom I always take my car for service - told me they charge $110 for diagnostic services.)

I had a great experience with Allen at Roger Shiflett. I went into the dealership and let Allen know what I was looking for and we made a deal. Most times when you are looking for a vehicle it takes hours and hours to try and make the deal. It only took a few hours to drive and get all the paperwork finalized. If you are looking to buy a vehicle without the hassle, this is the dealership.
Friendly people, good prices and NO DOC FEEs. ! I saved $800 just because of no doc fee. Will buy all future vehicles from them ! They even called me a couple of weeks later and made sure I got my tag and paperwork in the mail. This is how car buying should be. They treated me like I owned the place. I will be sending all friends and family here.

I had an overall good experience here. It was no hassle and no nonsense from the phone call to signing the paperwork. The truck I bought, did have some issues, but I got a good price on it. There was an issue that I found after I left the dealership that required repair. Since I lived two hours away, I had to take the truck to another dealership to get it fixed. This is where the service from Roger Shiflett Ford, and in particular, Salesperson Jamie, really shined. I worked with Jamie concerning the issue, and he was able to work with his General Manager to compensate me for the repair bill since, I called him and told him about the issues on the way home from the purchase. Nice work Jamie, and I thank you again for your help!

I recently paid a visit to Roger Shiflett Ford and it was the best dealership experience Ive ever had! I called before hand to let them know I was coming to look at a particular car and when I pulled up it was up front and waiting. I was greeted by my awesome salesman Adam Tamplin and within a few minutes we were test driving. After going inside to talk numbers, Adam did an excellent job making me feel comfortable and I got a good feeling that he was being honest and straight with me, not your usual beat around the bush for 4 hours car salesman. No sense of shady business at all. This was the easiest and fastest car buying experience Ive ever had. Total time it took for me to arrive, talk business, trade my old car in and drive off in my new car was barely 2 hours! And I would say 30 minutes of that was me chatting with the various staff members! I came prepared to make a deal and Adam made it an easy experience. Fast and very good mechanic services, got my car back up and running in less than a day. No appointment, just left at night with the keys in the night drop box, it was ready and waiting before 3 pm the next day, on a Saturday. A pleasant surprise.

Don’t waste your time here. Take your business to Spartanburg. I lost all respect for everyone at this dealership today. I took my car in for an oil change at 3:30 PM and didn’t leave until 5:30 PM when I finally had to go ask about the status of my car. My car was locked up in the back gate. They have been done with the oil change and no one even bothered to let me know.

Dealer misrepresented the vehicle and wanted to offer me $500 off as if I wanted the vehicle still. The carfax showed on the website showed no accidents but the vehicle clearly has been in an accident. Was missing the navigation that they have listed for the vehicle. Be careful when purchasing from this dealer. Sales manager wanted to walk outside and talk to someone else instead of at least coming to apologize for the inconvenience of driving 4 hours for nothing. Edit they did, get all issues taken care and I love my mustang.

On our long trip back home from Raleigh to New Orleans, all of a sudden our old 97 F150s check engine light came on and it was obvious something was wrong. Fortunately we were right by Roger Shifletts exit. The guys took less than 30min to diagnose, fix, and advise us on what to do if it happened again before making it safely back home to get it fully repaired. Plus they gave us a break on the costs. Would highly recommend this dealership for excellent service.
Good place to get work done on your truck. They put my truck on a machine, it said I needed a new motor. Got a 2nd opinion and it had a broke spring. Paid $450.00 part and labor.

Great dealership! Top notch service department. I was over 700 miles away from home when the check engine light came on in my 2013 F250. I stopped in to Roger Shiflett Ford unannounced without an appointment. To my surprise they got me right in diagnosed my issues as a failed exhaust gas temp sensor, replaced the part and had me on my way.......all of this in under an hour. Talk about customer service!

I arrived at the service counter at 10:15am for a 10:30am appointment for an oil change. It is now 12:05pm and I am still waiting on my vehicle. Very poor management skills in the service department. They decided to let a walk-in customer take my 10:30am slot. I finally got my truck at 12:30pm. I wasnt very happy with the people at the service counter. They told me not to worry about paying for the oil change, like that would make everything better. They wasted an hour and a half of my life for no good reason and made me late for my fishing trip!
My family has purchased several vehicles from Roger Shiflett Ford. I have also used their Service Department as well as purchased parts from their Parts Department. They have the best prices and friendliest staff that I have ever encountered at a dealership. I would not even consider purchasing a vehicle anywhere except Roger Shiflett Ford. Do yourself a favor and give them the opportunity to earn your business.

Unlike any other car dealership experience! Our purchase started with an online request for an Explorer. Adam Tamplin reached out to us very quickly to confirm with us what we were looking for and informed us that he would work up a price and reach back out to us shortly. In less than 30 minutes he had called us back with a very competitive price for the vehicle we were looking for and without pressuring us at all to come in. We decided to visit the dealership to look at and drive the car, throughout the test drive Adam was very friendly, polite, and professional and was genuinely interested in helping us without being pushy. We decided to purchase the vehicle and Adam and the sales manager Scott were extremely efficient and quick throughout the whole paperwork process. Unlike most experiences where you have to pack lunch and dinner just to get the paperwork filled out, we were in an out in about 2 hours with our new vehicle. I would be more than pleased to visit Roger Shiflett again if I needed another vehicle.

As a loyal Ford customer for close to 25 years who brings their car in for a transmission coolant problem, we expect them for the problem to be fixed right the first time.Rodger Shifletts Ford of Cherokee County in Gaffney, South Carolina has thought to be a reliable, dependable, and knowledgeable dealership with me and my husband for over 10 years. We brought our 2014 Ford Transit II Connect into them for repair out of loyalty, dependability, and the customer service we received in the past.Our transmission coolant problem started and we found out it was the hose from the transmission to the radiator. We allowed them to fix the issue due to not having any other issues with the dealership in the past. Less than a month later, the coolant system was acting up again. We took it to two other Ford Certified service technicians and they showed us metal in the transmission fluid. Both stated it was because of an air pocket by Rodger Shifletts work on the vehicle a month prior. When they removed the line, the transmission lost fluid, and before returning the vehicle they didnt check the levels. The transmission does not have a dipstick and has to be checked at the dealership.We went back to Rodger Shifletts and he will not take responsibility for the losses we incurred in this incident. Also, he will not acknowledge that his own service technician did anything wrong before giving our vehicle back. They made a mistake which cost us close to $1,200.Needless to say, Rodger Shiflett has fallen from integrity in our eyes as he was just even a year ago. This lack of customer appreciation, lack of valuing their customer over profit, shows I will not be returning to his dealership in the near or foreseeable future.
Cindy Bailey in service is the BEST!!! cares about her customers and if you have a diesel nobody can seem to get fixed go see Cindy and let Bill McNeilly look at it he will get fixed and both will be honest with you!!!

This is my third car buying experience and was by far the easiest. I loved the small town feel of this dealership. They let me make all the calls, remained patient with me, and didnt sway me one way or the other. I have dealt with many dealerships in the Greenville and Charlotte markets and they fall short by a mile. I was able to meet the whole team at Shiflett Ford to ensure that I was going to be well taken care of during and after the purchasing process. Adam made me feel at home and talked to me like a normal person versus the wheel and deal I have dealt with before. Scott Gragg is the Service Manager and after speaking with him I had no hesitation that my car would be well taken care of anytime I had to bring it in. You cant go wrong with this team!
This place sold me a lemon. 2013 Ford Focus. Had to wait 7 months to get my clutch replaced. I purchased the car in June 2016, had problems July 2016. Got the clutches replaced February/March 2017. I had problems with the RPMs going up but no acceleration. Dropped it off last Friday(7/14/2017) to get a call today the following Thursday(7/20/2017) to be told my clutch is being replaced again but its under warranty. The kicker in all of this? My total for my car is $880.00 and thats for a new O2 sensor, spark plugs and a wheel bearing. This place is awful. I will never buy from here ever again. Ive even called other Ford dealerships and they have told me that they are overpriced. Very disappointed in people.

Worst experience in my life, over priced vehicles and rude salesman. I literally left this dealership drove to Greer and bought the same vehicle with more options, 15,000 more miles and saved $7000 dollars. No lie! Alan is the rudest and most arrogant SOB salesman I have ever met. Buyers do your homework before you buy from here i will guarantee you will find a way better deal. These guys are a joke. Buyer beware!
