This Diner would have got 5 stars if we had been able to get peas with the fish and chips, wed been offered bread like other tables were and the older gentleman at reception hadnt been so grumpy as we left. He needed to read the sign on the wall!Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The decor was awesome and the place was exceptionally clean.The food the starter of mushrooms and curd cheese was excellent and a very good portion, my husbands burger was one of the best hed ever eaten. The fried chicken was good great coating. The mashed potato came with white gravy but the waitress brought me brown as I requested and the flavour was perfect. Wish Id had a slice of roast beef, with it lol 😆 We were on a road trip so may not go again but if were near we definitely will.

Been here a couple times over the last few years. Service was good this last time, arrived a litte before the dinner crowd. The shrimp appetizer was really good. Entree choices are few, but I do not mind that, hopefully they do what they do well, but nothing really jumped out that I had to have. We had a Reuben and club sandwich, hard to mess that up right. Good sandwiches. Four stars for the prices, a little stiff, but hey I work hard for my clams, have to take care of them. Give Cap City a try, not bad.

We went here on a double date Saturday night. It was fairly busy but we were able to get seated outside on the covered patio. The service was helpful and fast and friendly, and the food was pretty good. There was this garlic sauce that came with our appetizer shrimp cocktail. It was amazing and I used it on my cheeseburger. This is a fun place to go eat with friends.

For a restaurant like this I am always amazed at the level of service you get here, and the food is top notch every time!

Great atmosphere, and DELICIOUS food!!! I cant believe its taken me so long to finally stop in here. The service was friendly and quick, although we were a bit late so maybe we just missed the crowd. My son really enjoyed the colossal gumball machine at the entrance. Since the kitchen was closing within 15min of our arrival, we ordered our entrees and desserts upfront. Soft, warm rolls are served before the meal arrives.. The calamari was bursting with flavor and colorfully decorated with sliced peppers, although I will probably request to omit the sauce next time and just dip in salt & pepper. Thursdays pot roast special was delectable with shreds of beef that melt in your mouth, layered on mashed potatoes and an abundance of vegetables. We shared a Buckeye shake and the banana bread pudding, which were to die for! Definitely will become regulars!

What a wonderful Easter dinner! Cap City really made it a great day! Atmosphere, fun and service were all top notch! Meatloaf, pork chops, southern fried chicken and balsamic chicken, and spicy chicken rigatoni were all amazing! Our server Stephanie was perfect!

This location was Amazing! Our server, Cam, was a true gentleman & a master of his craft. He followed up with us after we received drinks & the food just to make sure everything was to our liking. Seems simple, but there are many times once we receive our food at a restaurant, we only see the server 1 last time. The meatloaf was AMAZING!!

Cap City Fine Diner hosted the rehearsal dinner for my sisters wedding this weekend and they did not disappoint! From the moment we set up to the moment we left, the service was outstanding... we had one particular server (Kem) who went above and beyond to help do anything in his power to make us comfortable and feel at home. The food was incredible and everyone enjoyed their time here. Hands down the best service we have ever received from any food establishment or venue. Thank you so much for helping make positive memories for our families as we celebrated!

My experience with Cap City Fine Diner and Bar was beyond amazing. Our Waiter Andres was Thee Best. I recommend anyone that visits this establishment, ask for Andres. The Food, Service and Ambience makes me excited to plan for our next visit. The Meatloaf dinner 🤗. If I could give more than a 5 🌟 I would have. The dessert, oh my Goodness Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake!!! Mercy 👍👍 this is officially my Go to Spot for the next visit!!!

Cap City is super good for a special occasions, its not super pricey, its pretty average. My favorite appetizer are the blue cheese chips, I would definitely recommend. Good for homecoming or to catch up with a friend. They serve a lot of classic American cuisines. I would try it at least once! The parking garage is also right across the street so its good for walking distance. Try to get a reservation on weekends since they tend to be busier for dinner.

We have eaten all over the world, and believe me that’s not a note of conspicuous self glamour, it’s simply to demonstrate that of all the plates and places we have shared, this place really does feel like home and holds up to plenty of more “fancy” feasting or otherwise... So let’s be clear, this is a diner, it’s diner style food, classic savory American cooking; with a touch of gourmet. I’ve never had a single bad experience here, Columbus is growing and it is proud, and these sort of places are the few true local treasures we can share. So come here to enjoy friends or family or both, and some good old fashioned home cooked style diner food! The staff are also so friendly, focused and fast, we had Emily and she was a joy! This place has my vote and feels like somewhere anyone is welcome with a smile, might find one here if you don’t have one of your own.

Chicken balsamic OMG! So good. And light. First time here. So clean and staff is friendly. Unique place and affordable. Everyone enjoyed their meals and when Im in the area again I will be here. Great server. Victoria was so good. Never ran out of drinks. Pre-bused the table and was right there with anything we needed.

Second time here & not disappointed. Fridays are Lake Erie Walleye, & being a Clevelander & fishing for walleye, I know a good walleye dinner & Cap City Fine Diner hits the mark! Excellent! And their 24k Carrot Cake is the best Ive had that I havent made myself. Great atmosphere & food!

Went for lunch. Make a reservation. Atmosphere very pleasant. I had the Balsamic Chicken. Perfect but could have used a bit more balsamic for my taste. Not a cheap place. $42 for lunch for two people not including tip. You cant go wrong on the quality of the food.

Went to Cap City for a birthday party. All of the servers were very courteous and checked on us to see if there was anything they could do to help us. Great time at a wonderful restaurant.

Neat atmosphere. Service was good. The food is not quite at the level of its price. Had a burger that was decent. My kids chicken was slightly burnt. Worth a visit for the experience though.

Phenomenal. My first time here but I was impressed. All of the food was cooked to perfection, generous portion sizes, the blue cheese appetizer was delicious and so was the Romano crusted chicken and the ribeye. We got the 25k cake and WOW. It’s not only delicious but it’s also the size of Texas. OH! And the entire staff passes the vibe check. They all have the BEST energy and they all harmonize well together from what I observed. My waitress was Montana and she was an absolute doll, couldn’t have asked for better service.

Food was good, service was great; but, unfortunately, two women (at the entrance) were snotty to us; they made it seem as though questions were NOT allowed. When a hostess rolls her eyes at you, it ruins the experience; it made me wish we had gone somewhere else (i.e., a location where people appreciate the customers business).

Great upscale Diner in new Dublin district. Has a full bar, and diverse menu. Highly recommend if your in the Columbus area.

Cap City in Dublin is hands down the BEST food experience. We enjoyed every entree we had and the desserts are the best in the city of Dublin. The staff are also the friendliest and most caring individuals as well. Recommend 100%

We went to the Columbus Zoo & ate here afterwards. I had not eaten here before & was not disappointed. I had the fish sandwich & it was the best I have ever had! Will definitely eat here again when I am in Columbus.

I think cap city is over priced for their quality of food. I don’t think their food is that great. I loved the service when I went though and the appetizer pretzel was good. But the past two times I’ve ordered a meal their the food is pretty bland for as much as they charge

Upscale diner in new Bridge Street District in Dublin OH. Definitely lives up to the Cameron Mitchell name. Excellent ambiance, friendly staff. Service is very quick and staff is knowledgeable about the menu.Highly recommended.

For many months, weve see many recommendations to eat at Cap City Fine Diner and Bar from out of state Ohio State parents. Last Friday, we were in Columbus and we took the advice to try this restaurant. Such a great place! Filled with customers. Great food. Impressive desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and know why so many people recommended this restaurant. You should too the next time you are in the Columbus, OH area.

Our server was extremely helpful, kind and spent plenty of time going over the menu items for us. This location is very busy during the lunch hour, because of how many business meetings happening here. That didn’t slow the kitchen or wait staff down at all! Great restaurant in a great location!

Service was great but food not up to par. We actually ordered a slice of chocolate cake to go and upon eating when we got home it was not fresh. Hard and it also tasted like they store it in a fridge next to other food. You could literally taste other food smells on the cake- pretty disgusting.

Made reservations on line. We were seated right away. Sisi was our server and she was amazing. The plate I ordered I didn’t think to ask if the vegetables had mushrooms (I am allergic). Sisi immediately took it back to the kitchen and had a new plate made to ensure there was no cross contamination. Didn’t ask her too. I was just going to eat the other items on the plate. She went above and beyond in her service and the food was amazing. I had Salmon and my wife had Philly Cheesesteak. Both of us had soup of the day. Cheddar Broccoli. Best I have had. Although we live out of state now we will be back to Cap City anytime we are in town from now on. . Well done!

Love this diner! Everything tastes good. The cinnamon buns at brunch are AMAZING. The wait staff has always been very kind and the place always presentable. I love the back patio as its always available in every season.

Wow talk about delicious! This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. I ordered the chicken Parmigiana and it was amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly crispy and juicy and the pasta and sauce was tasty. The chocolate covered peanut butter pie was amazing. The staff was very attentive to the table and I never had to ask for a refill. If you’re in the area you definitely want to give Cap City a try.

I really like this place. It has a great atmosphere and some decent food. It isnt truly a 5 star restaurant but I would hate for someone to give up on it because someone gave less than 5 on a review

What an excellent place. Had a delicious meal complete with their meatloaf and the carrot cake at the end was delicious! The country fried chicken is a must have as well. Our server, Abby was amazing. Great personality and very attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Update2: owners reached out to make things right. Which is respectable.Update: they sent me the missing item which has been sitting out for 3+ hours. The frosting is melting (and separating) and the cake is warm.You order things online, they charge you for them and then you don’t receive what you ordered. Also when you lodge a complaint they try to steal and sell your private information unless you opt out which is a weird thing for a restaurant to be doing.

Pre-covid, i would have said that the food was a 4-5 star experience, but post covid, the food has been cheapened, imitation potatoes, no house made chips, and the unbelievable meatloaf is mostly bread crumbs.. The cakes are still amazing, but the main course is awful.

We ate out on the patio. The whole staff was friendly. We ordered the meatloaf plate and the pork chop plate. Everything on our plates was perfection. Mashed potatoes made from real potatoes, broccoli that tasted like it had been picked from the garden that day, and perfectly seasoned and cooked meat. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went here with 10 people to celebrate 3 peoples birthdays. The service was great... Our server had many tables but was fantastic. I ordered the pecan crusted pork chops - delicious! I also tried my husbands fish and chips - AMAZING! Fish melted in your mouth. The server let those with bdays pick a dessert from the menu to take home with us - which is very generous as most places offer something small but this was the same portion from their dessert menu - the chocolate covered peanut butter pie was to die for! Will for sure be back. Great atmosphere, great food, great service!

Decent enough. Terrific outdoor seating, which was a big deal for us as we had an unvaccinated person with us. Service was fine, albeit a bit slow. Food, however, was pretty pedestrian. Tamarind wings were tasty, but accompanying fries were stone cold. Two others split the wedge salad and meatloaf. Wedge was fine, meatloaf was cold. Mashed potatoes served with were bland and a weird texture. I was assured they werent instant...but they did a heck of an imitation of instant. Better options in the area

I love Cap City Fine Diner! I have visited this location the past four times I have been in Dublin and it has been great every time. The food is delicious. The service is excellent. I always order seasonal vegetable plate and its delicious. The ambience is very nice and has a positive vibe. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options available, last but not the least they offer bread butter dinner rolls while you wait on for your meal ordered. 🥖

Classy and fun restaurant

Not the best.. server was awesome but quality of food and drinks was pretty lacking. Ordered a couple of their chipotle bloody marys and it seemed like the mix was spoiled, large difference between both drinks in quality and taste.

The food was excellent, I ordered the tomato soup which was the best I ever had. I ordered the 3 decker grilled cheese sandwich which was heavenly. I was so full I took half the sandwich home with meMy granddaughter ordered a large bowl of the tomato soup, the 3 decker grilled cheese for children and a salad, everything was amazing. The only problem was the noise, it was very noisy and loud, the next time I go there I will eat on the patio.

The meatloaf there is disgusting, it tastes like tofu with barbecue sauce slathered on it. There is no texture. The drinks were fine because I got bottled beer, but besides that youre being overcharged for pretty untasty food

My family and I have had great meals here, as well as their other locations. We love their potato chip appetizer, and the meatloaf is excellent too. Weve always been met by a polite and knowledgeable servers.

Get the blue cheese chips and you wont be disappointed! The salmon salad is delicious as well. Some entrees were a bit small for the price and some drinks too sweet, but overall a great spot for drinks and food.

Excellent service for mid day lunch. Fish and chips for Lent were flaky and friend to perfection. Wife was able to go without chicken in pasta to make it vegetarian. This is the Cameron Mitchell experience I have always remembered.

Weve visited Cap City Diner twice on our travels to Dublin. Both experiences dining in and taking out are positive. Employees are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Theres alot to try and portions are shareable. The slice of chocolate cake had to be cut in half for takeout as its so large, also very rich. Blue cheese potatoe chips were perfect!

The service was really good and it was nice too eat in a restaurant again.Unfortunately, the food was not very good and certainly not worth the money spent. The chicken wings were a particular disappointment.

We had placed a to go order last night. The order came out correct and food temps pretty good however, we received NO plastic wear to eat pan seared fish and salad. Attention to detail is not a plus at this location. This is the 3rd time we have received this situation. In addition, the fries we ordered came out in a brown paper sack soaked with grease. If I wanted to have greasy fries in a bag then I would go to a fast food location; 5 guys and fries to have my fries in a bag. I expected more from a Cameron Mitchel location especially for the cost that is charged for their food. Unhappy with this service again. Something should be done different to service the outgoing orders. It was disappointing.

Absolutely amazing food and probably the best service we have ever received! You have to try the chocolate cake too, its amazing and huge! This is a casual and fun atmosphere where couples and families feel welcome alike. I am highly recommending this restaurant!

Great experience! If you’ve been to the Cap City Diner near downtown, you can expect a similar feel here. The food is fantastic and the waitstaff is nothing short or amazing.

First time at this establishment and it did not disappoint. We arrived an hour or so before closing. We did not receive defective service nor did we feel rushed to leave at any point. Our server, Asia I believe, was amazing despite having over five tables at the time. Her recommendations on food where spot on. The price seemed high, but not so for this area and the quality. This food and restaurant are easily in my top five ever. Amazing!

The food is fabulous! We all had different dishes and ALL were amazing!!! Unfortunately the server we had must not really like her job because of the following: we were seated with not knowing we had to scan the menu because the scanning card in a plastic covering, that we later discovered was on every one else’s table was missing from ours but we did get paper menus after she asked us what we wanted; got no silverware until one of us in the party had to go inside and ask for some along with napkins; half way through he meal she brought carafes of ice tea and water. Now if I were the only one to notice I would not complain but it was noted immediately by all 5 of us. Also wanted to note the amount of food particles and pieces of food that have fallen into the slats on the patio tables; that was disgusting. I guess we should have eaten inside. I truly understand the crisis of not being able to get people to work and, possibly, this is not her calling. But my group are all healthcare workers, don’t ask for much. And I have never written this type of review before. Don’t know if I be back or you even care.

Fantastic! Service was wonderful (thank you Jess!), food was delicious. Reservations recommended, there was an hour wait for two people on a random Tuesday night. When I made the reservation they asked if I had any special dietary needs. I am gluten free and when we arrived they had a gluten free menu ready for me and the waitress brought out gluten free rolls! They have a dedicated fryer, and a plethora of gluten free choices. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent! We will definitely be back!

I generally really love Cameron Mitchell restaurants, and Im so trying to love this one as well. The atmosphere is great, the upscale diner vibe is well done, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.However I struggle with the food. Its all solid / good, but aside from the meatloaf Im struggling finding other things that are excellent.A pretzel appetizer can be delicious. And for their version the sauces were really good, especially the sweeter sauce. However the pretzel itself I found dry (I dont know if Ive ever run into that before), and it was under salted.The mixed green salad was fine though I found it wasnt quite enough dressing on it. And perhaps not enough dark greens.The steak & black bean chili was very solid.The cheeseburger I found was slightly more well done than I would have liked, and definitely needed more seasoning. And the fries that accompany that I found to be on more the lukewarm side than hot.Ill definitely try again, maybe they just had an off night, or my expectations are off, or I picked the wrong dishes.

Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious. Come hungry, portion sizes are huge!

I really wanted to love this place and think if/when I go again I will however I was not impressed at all with my 1st visit. It largely came down to the waiter. As my 9 year old said, “he’s a nice guy but should find a different job”. I had my water refilled once and it had been empty most of the time we were there. And if I could have waved he or another person down I would have but they seemed to either be running to others or not there. Then from the time he took my plate until the check came was 20 minutes. Again MIA waiter. The icing on the cake (largely my fault) was paying $8 for a small side salad which was the price of a full salad. (IF that was a full on salad it was a joke). I didn’t catch it or I would have inquired but after the wait I just needed to get my card into his hand so we could get going with our day. I think the place could be great under other circumstances.
