I really love this place I met some nice people there the people on staff. Especially all the ladies in leasing are very helpful and the thing about it is theyre always smiling. Smiles go a long way. The security there is great. Except for one guy I met there: everyone was stupendous and exceptional. Port Royale its just what it is a getaway place from the hustle and bustle of everyday life at night its so peaceful and you can rest so easy

This place is MASSIVE!!!! They have ample parking, the staff is efficient and friendly, and the process was easy. To make it easier do your certification class on the website before you go so all you have to do is check in when you get there!

Good location. Seafood tacos and top shelf margaritas were good. Food is way overpriced and the wait is long so make sure you’re not in a hurry. Gas prices are high and there’s no 87 octane.

Great prices on boat rentals. Every easy to rent a boat for the day and take it back. I have done this with my friends for the last 2 summers

Beautiful Marina on Lake Lanier. Not far off of GA 400 exit 17 which made for a easy drive for us. This place had wonderful views, very clean, and lots of shaded parking. Restaurant and boat rentals were busy.

This is a review of Paradise, the boat rental outfit. Its a tidy, professional operation. But the red tape is awful. An hour of paperwork, orientation video watching, standardized test taking, orientation listening, and being video recorded reading a page of legalese isnt what I had in mind for my relaxing Saturday morning, and it took up literally 1/4 of the boating time we paid for.Considering that about half of customers didnt go through the process at home and end up doing it while the while group is ready to be out on the lake, you need to be more clear about these requirements upfront.I get that this helps with their finances with liability and equipment, but it comes at a significant cost to the customer experience. Ive rented boats elsewhere, and never gone through such a rigamarole. With so many other options around the lake, this is just a bad choice.

Dry stack customers beware. We left Port Royale after several years for a number of reasons - cost, hassle, rental & restaurant crowds, dangerous entry/exit, etc. After fulfilling all obligations of our lease agreement, we exited at the end of March. It is approaching the end of May, and we still do not have our deposit money (several hundred dollars). Have called several times now and each time are told it will take a few more weeks to process. Will update this review if we ever see our money.Update: Check received 2 months after exit.

Went to go see John Amoroso play at Pelican Petes I parked got out of my car went through a little Gap in the woods and suddenly I I felt like I was in another part of the world absolutely magical went to go eat on a floating restaurant if youre looking for a getaway thats the place to go

Port Royal and Pelican Petes are a Huge asset to Lake Lanier and a Fun and Great place and just Flatout a Very well run Marina...Love to bring Family and Friends here ... I visit often and again and again...

Good Marina but taking maximum advantage of the capitalistic situation and better bring your wallet no deals to be found here.

Awesome Marina on Lake Lanier in Gainesville. Port Royale has more than 2,000 boat slips, plenty of boats to rent and also splash pad and restaurants. Great place to rent a boat and spend all day on the water. Splash pad is small but fun for the kids and the restaurant always has live music.

My family has had a boat in dry stack side since before it was Port Royale (Lan Mar Marina). Over the years it has had several improvements, most recently being to the dock and restaurant/store. Customer service is always great, even on holidays when Im sure they get overwhelmed, they dont show it.

Family day at the lake - Port Royale was the way to go! Staff & accomodations are top notch, especially Chad!!

I’ve had my boat here for a couple of months. I really like it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is well maintained. Bathrooms by the docks are clean. Neighbors are friendly. We love Pelican Pete’s. The boat store is well stocked and items are reasonably priced - more than you’d pay at say Walmart, but par with West ... no steep convenience markup. The fuel dock is well maintained. New courtesy dock is very nice! I hope they refurbish the existing courtesy dock because some parts are pretty shabby.

The best marina on Lake Lanier. Luxurious, gorgeous, great location and the best restaurant on Lake Lanier (Pelican Pete’s). The staff is always wonderful. From the office staff to the courtesy slip guys and the restaurant staff...we absolutely love Port Royale and wouldn’t keep our boat anywhere else.

I purchased a used boat from them in the spring. We had a major problem with it about 3 weeks later. They went above and beyond. They took care of everything. Im 100% satisfied.

Excellent food!!! A bit confusing locating the restaraunt after passing the guard house... Poor signage. The restaraunt is litterally floating on the lake in the marina. Views and breeze were awesome. Highly recommend.

We have rented boat from here for past 10+ years. We really enjoy the service and the boats. However, today when we went to marina, I didn’t see anyone of the staff wearing mask. It was pretty saddening experience. I don’t know how the authorities let their own employees be at risk. Very sad. ☹️

If you like boats, the water, lake views, people watching, then you have hit the mother load at Pelican Petes at the marina.P.P. did some remodeling & improved their food offering recently. Good bar food & a good place to bring family & friends whether you are boating or not.I am a sailor so boating is in my blood. There is plenty of boating action to observe. A parade of boats.

This was my first time here. It was a Monday night and wasnt crowded at all. It was beautiful! The water temperature was perfect. We went on a boat with friends, but Im sure rentals are available. It was worth it.

Had a great time. But had some problems with equipment, the driver seat broke and I got injured. It had a lot of missing or lose bolts.

Took my dad for a boat ride on Lake Lanier. The staff at Port Royale were awesome through the whole experience. Maddy was very helpful in helping me through the reservation/boater safety course process. Matt was great in explaining boat operation and rules of the lake. When we returned, Mike was very helpful getting docked and checked back in. It was a great day and a great experience! Would highly recommend!

An afternoon with one of our daughters, enjoy the music and the atmosphere. They play favorites with the regulars. A little frustrating... make it an off time when you go and enjoy. Food is your average lake hot spot, nothing unique about the food, other than the view.

Very nice, well-equipped marina. A wide variety boat slips and boat rentals. They recently stopped renting house boats, but plenty of pontoons, “runabouts”, and wave runners.There’s a convenient restaurant, Pelican Pete’s, on the water and a general store with food, supplies, and all the water toys you need.

Very great service! Rented a 25’ suntracker and tube for a day. My family had a blast. Definitely will use these people again. I’ve tried to rent boats other places and usually the boats were not all that great of quality. The whole fleet with this company is brand new and very exceptional.

Best marina on the lake. I have a boat in dry stack and one in a covered wet slip. They do all of my service work on both boats. They are honest and professional Their prices are reasonable. I love the floating gas dock with full bar and restaurant. Great location and friendly employees all the way around.
