We liked the selection and discount on some really great toys.

Very nice and pleasant. Took time to look for certain toys we were looking for, even though they didnt have items they offered similar items. The cashier was very nice and did not mind listening to our stories. Just a all around nice experience.😊👍

I have been in several Toys R Us across the country over the years among the various duty stations the military has taken us. Birmingham, Al; Panama City, FL; Salinas, CA...all those locations had me convinced that this toy store was not the same I remembered from my youth. I have to thank the Gainesville location, because yall are exactly what you should be, what I remembered from childhood & more! Thank you! Your clean & perfectly ordered store, your friendly & helpful staff, your spotless bathrooms, your stocked shelves, all of it, thank you! From one over-protective, detail-oriented mama of five little boys, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Simple toys r us never had any issues. Seems though that the employees don’t want to work there. Which is understandable. But all and all good experience.

The store is clean and the employees are helpful. The products are over priced even the cheesy products you can get at a dollar store for a dollar they want upwards of $10. We go there when my daughter is gifted with a gift card. You can get the products so much cheaper elsewhere. Their selections on video games is very lacking. Things they should have for the video consoles they sell they just dont have. So you would have to go elsewhere.

Nice employees, great layout and great sales. Having my daughter gives me an excuse to be a kid again so I always love going to the toy store. Only complaint was the bathroom needed to be cleaned. It was pretty nasty. Other than that great shopping experience.

They are.awesome. they have a wonderful staff and the staff seems to always be the same so I dont think they have a large turnover. Max is the manager and he is super helpful and very professional.

Sadly this store is going out of business. However, even now the staff was warm and friendly when I went the other day. I do recommend going soon before the sale continues to go on, since they will quickly run out of certain toys.

Always enjoy going in toys r us.. I have two kids and I still can find myself looking at things for me lol. Ordered online and picked up at the store. Basketball hoop and stand. Also did a bit of shopping while there. Mostly good deals anytime I go. Thursday if you have a credit card with them you save and earn points for gift certificates.

I have a rewards program with them and they help me to get free stuff. The area for this specific Toys R Us is not great but the staff is friendly and the selection of toys is good. If you are ever looking for something the staff can always check to see if they have it in store and what isle it is on. Of you sign up for the rewards you also get the option to save paper by having the receipt sent via email.

Let me start by saying that usually this location has decent customer service. Beyond that, this location seems to have really gone downhill from what it used to be. Its a smaller toys-r-us so their selection is fairly limited for this type of store, with some of the stock being fairly dated.Its not very clean these days, and the baby department is non-existent. My kids and I have been pretty disappointed our last few trips here. We were just there about a month ago, and we ended up leaving empty-handed and running over to Target to get the video game that they were looking for after being told over the phone beforehand that this location definitely had it in stock.Its kind of sad because for years this was a great place to come to find whatever you were looking for or even just to have a bit of fun.

They are having a going out of business sale. Right now, most items are 10% off, but some seasonal items are up to 30% off. They anticipate that the discounts will get better over the next month, but then all of the stuff that nobody wanted will be all thats left, I suspect. They will no longer accept gift cards after April 22nd, so spend it if you have it.

This is one of the better ToysRUs I have been to. Their clothes selection is awesome. Found a lot of toys my kids love!

Its good if you know exactly what youre getting and dont care about pricing. But they refuse to honor their own price matching policy, reason their going bankrupt. On top of that they require your license for returns even with a receipt. Horrible policies.

Over the years of living in Gainesville, Toys R Us in town has gone through its ups and downs. Prior to my recent visit, the store felt it was at a disarray state and workers were meh. Mind that visit was almost 1 - 2 yrs ago. But my recent visit last week looked like they had fresh new staff and the store looks a tad bit more organized. The workers were more than helpful during my time there and that to me is very important especially trying to purchase the right gifts. If things go up from here for them, this is the place to go for all your toy wants for friends, family, or yourself.

The store is pretty run down but they have always had the items my children love. I can appreciate Toys R Us for allowing us to still get a change to physically see the quality of the toys prior to purchase.

Place looks like a bad Kmart. A lot of holes in their inventory. Doesnt look like its had love or good management in a long time.

Its fun to take your kids now and then, but normally Id rather just order their toys online where I can see ratings and reviews.

Sad to see it go. I still remember coming here to by Jurassic Park toys as a kid. Looking back nothing really changed. I will miss this store. Im sad to see Toys R Us go and I also went to the one back home in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico thats also closing. Sad to see it go.

Really busy at holiday time but people were still helpful and not rude.

Went to toyrus to return some of the items from my registry that my daughter didnt like. They made the process quick and easy. I also wanted to pick up a few items and they sent someone to meet me to help me decide. After that, he carried my items too the front for me.

They had ample associates to assist you and were very informative, even though they were out of the items we were there to purchase.

I love the look in my daughters eyes when she enters the store and sees all the toys she loves.

Going to miss it once its gone. Would visit here frequently with my daughter.

Such a shame that they are going out of business!! But there are REALLY good deals going on!! I got my Son a Cars racetrack that he has been wanting, usually $100, got it today for $60.

After a gift was lost in the world of Fed Ex, we quickly got in touch with ToysRUs & while we were grateful to be able to replace it with a product from this particular store, this wasnt the greatest experience. The store was filthy, bathrooms destroyed by customers, but clearly in need of a deep cleaning regardless, maybe even a paint job. The exterior walkway was missing so many bulbs & it was the holidays, it was like walking a scene in a scary movie. Even the employee who walked us out agreed with the intimidation. He dropped our expensive purchase twice & broke the box because he didnt want to roll the cart outside. It was aggravating to say the least. So, while I was grateful to purchase the much needed gift from this store due to my delimha, I wouldnt shop there on a regular basis when considering the cleanliness or lack thereof, the customer service & the shape the store is in entirely. Management would do well to inform corporate that this store needs some tlc. Its not too far gone yet!
