Long story short, while they were closed for covid I moved away. I was unable to cancel the membership over the phone, so they kept charging my card. Fast forward 9 months later I have to drive half the state of Florida to cancel a gym membership that i couldnt use and pay $95 im fees to cancel.

I wish I could leave less than one star. Despite trying to cancel they charged my dead card, and I had to go in and pay for that on top of the cancellation fee even though I hadnt been in to work out in quite a while. Thank God for that though because the equipment always smelled disgusting. I couldnt wait to get home and shower after I used it. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other gym.

Scammy and unethical company. 10 dollars to cancel membership and you have to do it in person or through a certified letter. Even though I moved from the area they wouldnt make an exception for me. Look for a company that is more caring of their members. Took 2 weeks to get ahold of the manager to find out how to cancel my subscription. Complete disrespectful of my time. Emailed corporate and they dont care, refuse to refund me for the new year that was just charged even though I live absolutely no where near a youfit now. The 70 dollars isnt the end of the world, but the complete disregard the company has for their members is. I regret ever signing up here, pay more for something that is quality. Youfit is the worst gym experience Ive ever had. They closed their locations and then without consent gave another company our banking info and started a contract with them. After 6 months of random money missing I take a look and find out that Crunch fitness has been taking my money, one that is over 22 miles from my house ..... I cant even get there I dont even know where it is. Crunch fitness WILL NOT REFUND YOU A SINGLE DOLLAR. I was not contacted by anybody ever about this nor did I ever even agree to it. Horrible business practice. I will make sure everybody I know never gets a membership with you for the rest of my life.

Its a nice gym its always clean and they play good music with AC. Its required you bring a towel to work out which i think is awful and they asked me to leave one time because i forgot mine or you have to buy one at the front desk. But overall a nice gym for the price.

Weights and machines are always in good shape, maintenance is good, good cleaning too, you can see the staff going over the machines with disinfecting wipes. Its regularly not very crowded but it can be a bit, specially on Mondays around 5 pm. Overall is a nice gym with plenty of space.

I would have given a zero if I could have. Everything is good with this gym until for any reason you decide to cancel. Apparently, it doesn’t matter if we are in the middle of a pay pandemic. This story is too long to go over the details. Just read the other low reviews you will see. They basically hold you into the gym payments. Yes even during the pandemic. They are forcing people to pay to keep their numbers good well hello you fit people are dying out here. Now I have a negative account(I hate the ways that even sounds) because someone lied to me and little miss Kayla who said she was the manager needs an attitude adjustment. She basically called me a liar. This pandemic is really showing how businesses are truly operated.

Excellent trainers (especially Roddy & Jessica)! Super-clean facility, with a huge variety of machines. Theyre all wearing masks and observing social distancing. Best bang for your buck too!

Actually enjoyed my time working out at Youfit. Kept my membership for the first 8 months of the pandemic, figured it would help out the employees even if the Gym was closed. Now its November and I want to cancel; yet, Youfit is requiring I come into the gym I have been avoiding due to a pandemic to file paperwork or send a certified letter. Which is unbelievable to me, whenever I decide to join a Gym again it will not be with YouFit.

I signed up for the two month trial and was told I would have until the 8th to cancel without paying the annual fee. Two months from when I signed up on the 8th. Today I came in to cancel because I havent been able to use the gym in weeks because they dont offer child care and they told me I was too late because I needed to come in on the 7th to cancel. I argued, but was told there was nothing that could be done to change this. I asked for the number to the district manager and was told there was no way to contact anyone except through the generic corporate email address by Kayla (said she was the manager). Kayla was not rude, but she offered no help and tried to thwart my ability to speak with any supervisor of hers. I guess that in and of itself is rude, you decide.I am very very unhappy with the way this gym has acted about the annual fee. Ive already paid my two months in full, but because I was told the wrong day Im being charged the annual fee. This is preposterous and Ill be instructing everyone I know to avoid youfit.This could have been avoided by better customer service and honesty with your customers.There is no reason I should have to pay this annual fee. I was told to come in by the 8th to cancel in order to avoid the fee. Here I am outside after being denied the cancelation.They got me for a two months $50.00 plus the annual fee about $50.00 and then a $10.00 cancelation fee. I used the gym for two weeks.Run from this place. Do not waste your money or time.Im contacting corporate, but the time I spend will probably cost me more than the fee by the time Im done.Tl;dr: Run from this place. I have always enjoyed going to this gym. Its clean, I have never had issues with anyone working there, and I always found the prices to be reasonable and the hours and location to be very convenient. Unfortunately I had to stop going in March with COVID happening and havent returned since I still find it to be risky and have started working out at home. Since June I have called and emailed YouFit here at this location and it was quite the process getting my membership canceled since I was no longer living in Gainesville. I was told via email correspondence that members were eligible for a refund for the months that the gym was closed. It is now October and I have not seen a refund for the time their doors were closed. I have also written to the headquarters and that went nowhere, and there seems to be no corporate number to call. I really enjoyed this gym and the location but the fact that theyve essentially ghosted me on my refund when they claimed they were providing them is extremely upsetting considering how patient Ive been. Ive tried calling in the past but no one seems to know much- they will tell me just to come in but Im 8 hours away. How are they going to expect me to do that? My membership is already canceled but the refund seems to not be happening, and that should be easier than canceling a membership.Im leaving a review because after attempting to get in touch with them the last few times, they have not been responsive. They seem to be much quicker to respond here, so I just decided to leave a little review. Its a great gym but Im very disappointed in how they have handled this.Edit: after posting this and emailing again, I finally got my refund. It took a while and the communication was greatly lacking for a while, but in the end I got my refund and enjoyed the gym so I changed it to 4 stars overall. Thanks!

Ive moved out of Gainesville since December and called multiple times to have the acct cancelled. Meanwhile Ive been charged every month on the dot. Today I call in and Im told I can only cancel through sending a letter..... Appearantly the owners are Amish and have zero idea of technology. I cant even send a email and they cannot cancel it over the phone. Rediculous.

I was a member for over a year because is was the cheapest gym in the area, and to be fair I got what I paid for. Not once was everything in the gym in working order (bathrooms, water fountains, equipment). It was always crowded to the point that I had to wait in line to use any equipment. I was also charged while the gym was closed for the pandemic, and any attempts to correct this were dismissed.

I let them know over a year ago I would like to cancel membership due to a accident. They still took money from my account. Right before COVID they charged my card double and when I called they said they will refund it to come inside and fill out a paper. They had been closed and this morning when I woke up they charged my card double for fees during there closing. How can you charge people for a facility that is not open? Then told me come in today and fill out a paper and it will take 30 days for a refund from the day I first cancelled.

Staff are friendly, 10 dollar a month plan is an excellent value. While at peak times it can get a little crowded it isnt too hard to get to equipment. Supplies are well stocked and bathrooms are clean. They used to be open til 3 am, wish they went back to those early hours.

Have few years attending to this gym and it is perfect to do workouts... Everyone is invited to come and check it out.

Its a great commercial gym if you are looking to get a quick workout in. It has everything you need and more. Several types of cardio machines and weight machines. There are a handful of benches and duplicates of certain machines or weights in order to allow more people to use them instead of waiting. For the price you pay, it really is a good deal if you compare it to residential, clubhouse, or university gyms.

I have been coming here for a few years and it has always been great but in the beginning it was a bit less crowded. However, as membership has increased in this limited space its gotten very packed very quickly. I constantly find myself waiting for several minutes between excercises while someone else finishes on the only machine in the building that does this specific movement. The water is sometimes cold in the showers and the hours are ok but they shut down sometimes without warning or posting any signs. Overall a great gym for beginners or experienced lifters alike who want a quality commercial gym for $10 a month.

I loved my gym experience, but I had to cancel my gym membership due to them not having a place for kids. I was unaware that the gym membership and training membership were totally different. I cancelled my gym membership, but no one communicated to me that you had to cancel both in order to not get charged. I called and spoke with someone and she got my name & number, but no one called me to fix this issue. I called again today and spoke with someone else, but I got the run around. I just called five minutes ago and I was finally told that I have to come to the gym in order to cancel the trainer membership. What makes me mad is that when I went to cancel my gym membership a month ago Absolutely No One thought to tell me or let me know that I had to cancel both. Communication is the key and I didnt receive that at all with this issue. I was very upset and even thought about going back, but thats out of the question.

What can you say about a company that continues to charge its customers a monthly fee while they are shut down for a pandemic? Unscrupulous, dishonest and crooked. Im done with this company and will look into my options for a refund for the past three months.Update, August 2020:Its even worse than i thought. They wont cancel your membership right away and will make you pay for an additional month and then charge you a $10 cancellation processing fee. What a mistake it was joining this gym.

Not impressed. Went in to look around and ask about membership....staff wasnt very helpful or friendly. When comparing to other competitors, YouFit didnt meet all the criteria I needed. Pricing is comparable to other gyms but does not have 24/7 access everyday. Good location with easy parking, but there are better gyms in town.

I have to say, I just joined this gym because of the location and convenience but Bryce and his team really make you feel welcomed and feel like they care about your fitness journey. The gym is very clean and the lay out is nice. The attention the employees give and seeing them help their guest is what really made me want to sign up. Great job.

Equipment always functioning, generally do not have to wait, very pleasant staff, clean/nice environment. In addition to working out on the machines, I had been attending the Silver Sneakers class. It is a great program and Kelly is a wonderful instructor, but it got so popular that the room is just too crowded for it to be enjoyable any longer so we stopped attending the class. Would be nice if you had more Silver Sneakers Classic classes so that there would be a smaller size with more room.

Overall really quality gym, especially for the price. Having been to several Youfit locations in Florida, this one is the best I have experienced. The employees keep everything running smoothly, and the gym is kept tidy and organized. Definitely not a place where youll find free weights all over the floor and/or broken machines. It can get busy with the after-work crowd, but even during those times it is much more manageable than most gyms. Most of the time, the gym is pretty quiet, and youll have plenty of room for your workout.

Okay gym, but can you guys make sure your employees don’t close shop 45 minutes before closing time on the drinks? I’m spending extra monthly primarily for the benefit of the discount on protein shakes. How does it make sense that 45 minutes prior to closing you guys are closing the system down for checkouts at the counter? Feel jipped, and I’m writing a letter to get my money back this month because it seems like the time you guys close the counter keeps getting further and further back.

People love to complain. It is 10.61 per month. You walk in the door, they greet you, scan your card, and you then proceed to the gym area. From there, you lift weights or whatever else interests you. Then after that, you leave. Ive been repeating this process daily for years without issue. Keep up the good work man, wouldnt change a thing!

Great gym without the high cost. We changed to this gym because we were paying so much for another gym and just didnt feel it was worth it. For about $10 a month this gym is excellent. All the free weights, machines, and classes as a bigger gym without the hit to your pocket.

The YouFit staff is very friendly and always greets and says goodbye whenever I walk through the door. The fitness class instructors are awesome, and I love going every week. The only complaint I have is that it gets pretty crowded, and I wish there were fitness classes on Sundays.

They have great classes, including many for senior citizens and all the staff are wonderful. They are friendly and nice and quick to answer any questions or concerns. I really enjoy going there.

I joined this gym about 8 months ago and have SO enjoyed going. I try to go at least 3 time a week. The staff is always friendly when you walk in and at least one of them will acknowledge you when leaving and say have a Good Evening or Night. My only complaint is GYM ETIQUETTE LOL. People need to be aware how much time they spend on their cellphones while on the machines, do the work-out and move on. I understand we need to do a rep and rest, but come on, put the phone down. Every time you rest, you do not need to pick up your phone, wait until you are done. We go to the gym to work out and get away from technology for just a little while :)

Clean, youthful and well kept. Not to mention the great price... You fit is a great place to work out and has all of the standard gym fare. Just remember to bring a towel as they charge for them but showers and daily lockers are provided for no cost. Of course you do have to bring your own lock for the lockers. The trainers are also great and gym is like a little south west on campus made up of mostly college students.

I came here while on a 3-month travel stint at North Florida Regional and was very pleased. It’s even got two squat racks, unlike most Youfit locations.

Exceptional gym on all fronts. This gym is very clean and well-kempt. There are various machines to choose from, with plenty to prevent long wait times. As far as service, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Rahman was especially helpful and has great customer service. I would highly recommend this gym.

Its 10 bucks a month. Of course there are stupid fees when you sign up and Ive heard also when you cancel. But for 10 bucks a month its about as good as it can get. Its fairly clean (yes people dont always wipe stuff down and once they were out of paper towels, but thats why I bring a gym towel). The people are nice. Its not super crowded in the morning. If you want a cheap, fairly decent place to get a basic workout or personal training sessions in, its great!

This is the most unprofessional gym I have been a part of. I have worked out at dozens of gyms across the country and trust me when I say their management is screwing You! Good luck trying to cancel your membership! They will gladly charge you years down the road for it!

The environment is very appealing. The club that I mainly go to in Gainesville has an amazing staff. They are all so kind and friendly and always greet me when I arrive as well as wave goodbye on my way out. Love it here!

I have a gym membership there and enjoy going about twice a week. The staff there isnt too friendly and dont really want to help you unless they have to (or so it seems). The classes are nice, a great membership for the price but it can get super busy after 4pm so you might want to avoid going in the prime hours so you dont have to wait for a machine. Good place for the price.

Good price point and lots of machine options. But the gymgoers barely clean the machines because they only have 3 sanitizing spray bottles in the gym. Many times the machines will be dripping with sweat. Recently they were even out of paper towels so you couldnt clean the machines if you wanted to. If a sanitary gym is what youre looking for, and youre able to pay more for a membership, try somewhere else.

I love this gym so much. They have all the basic equipment that a person should need, and its very clean cut and easy to navigate. I especially love how the machines are color coded by muscle group. Its great as a student because sometimes the UF gyms can be extremely crowded.

Real cool small gym with great personnel. The guys are always there to help and answer questions. Its also a clean place with machines that feel good. You cant beat it for the price!

Great gym. Plenty of cardio equipment, strength training machines, cable area and free weight area. Friendly staff, clean, nice bathrooms with showers. My only warning is dont go in the afternoon/evenings on Mondays, its the only time Ive ever really seen it packed.

Absolutely ridiculous, that I have to pay $10 to cancel my membership. Then says it’s a processing fee, also have to go to the gym to sign papers. Was going to sign back up she I had more free time, but surely won’t now knowing they want to over charge. Oh and the one in Gainesville doesn’t have any amenities but charge the same as other locations, that have pools, saunas and tanning.

I dont understand why they need your bank account number to bill. Planet Fitness just charges your card each month. Im not giving my bank account number to a bunch of people I dont even know. If my account gets drained, who is going to pay for it? I even offered to pay for a whole year up front and nobody ever contacted me back about it. For this reason, Im not joining this gym which is too bad because its a lot closer to my house than PF.

Great place to workout. Never really had to wait for a station or machine. Nice locker rooms. Only thing I would like to see are a couple machines they dont have that I think every gym should have.

I have been going here since they opened a few months ago. The location is great and the gym is very clean with a good selection of equipment. Youfit is a great alternative to avoid the crowds at Southwest without paying too much.

Ive attended this gym more than a couple times. It has everything you need minus the need for 1-2 more squatting racks/deadlift platforms so people arent forced to deadlift in the middle of the gym. The cleanliness of this gym is really sub-par considering the labor costs that are going into the number of team members working a on a daily basis. Several of the gyms employees are consistently talking to one another and walking around the gym conversing with trainees for the sake of discussion. Which is a win/loss. Win in developing a gym community. Loss as in overlooking the fine details of production rate among team members. Often times, theres a medley of cardio machines that are always out of service. Every day a new machine is down. Potentially this is something that can be fixed with a weekly preventative maintenance checklist. Theres a lot of small details that can take this gym from a mediocre gym, to the best gym in Gainesville. All of this can be fixed with proper Management. With Crunch Fitness coming in early 2020, the Management must take into account all of the small factors to have the competitive edge over the newer and fresher Crunch Fitness.

Clovis is very unprofessional and ostentatious. There are other gyms that offer better amenities and are hassle-free. You should never be insulted for canceling a membership under false pretenses.

Great gym. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it has all the basics and they all work. The gym is clean and staff are friendly. Plus, they have all sorts of deals and competitions making going to the gym fun.

Love this gym. The quality and people are fantastic. My only complaint is no child care like some Youfits have, cant win them all though.

You MUST take the Total Sculpt class with Quintin! The class is so fun, and works everything!! You will not leave that class without feeling like youve put in some work. Also if you like Zumba...my favorite instructor is Jared!

Well theyre making my life a lot more complicated with their cancellation policy. More so the company itself than this particular location because they use ancient technology to manage their memberships and then the cancellation process becomes a lot more extensive.

Do not sign up for personal training, all they want to do is to get you on a contract, they say its cancellable, but after 3 months continue to bill each month, I was signed a trainer and before the first block of sessions are over he is fired or quit, then I never went for more training under another training with more sessions left, now they still want to bill for 3 more months at $160 a month. I told them to cancel the 3 months since I havent even used the first set because of trainer issues, the manager Victoria says I signed a contract, me writing online does not matter since she is acting under company policyI still go there to work out, still have training sessions left, dont sign a training contract, just go to the gym for $10 month.

Go to any other gym. Hidden fees, terrible customer service, corporate line is impossible to reach. Equipment is broken, and they continue to charge customers during a pandemic, and they make you come in during a pandemic to cancel a membership. This gym exists to take your money and nothing else.

There are new rules every single day. My friend had a membership so she could bring a guest. The first day they allowed me to come, but the next day they didn’t allow me because I wasn’t 18 year’s old.

The gym is ok as equipment and hours however they have major issues with corporate greed.1. membership is double pay -one is regular monthly $21,99 and SECOND is another fee Annually $ 53.43 increased every year about $112. if you want to cancel, they will not let you cancel until you pay in FULL the annual fees even you used the gym for 1 day in the new year, ignoring the fact that they have on the website clearly stated that the annual membership starts 60 after year starts.3. even you sign cancellation paperwork at the club desk it will continue to charge cc for refusing to pay Annual membership you dont need.GREED

Came in for the first time last week. Staff seemed distracted. I hope to increase my rating after I get to actually work out (just stopped in to pick up my lime card). Love the location, but Im new to the gym scene and would like to have at least been offered a tour.

Visiting area while my stepfather had surgery at the VA hospital. The staff there was so kind to let me get in a cardio workout during one of my breaks.No charge. It was an awesome gesture.Thank you Youfit!

Much better than GHFC. My one critique is the way the express circuit is managed. If youre going to advertise this area as a way to not wait and get a 30 min work out, you need to enforce that for people who are NOT doing the circuit. I have seen trainers use these machines when there are people using the circuit and if the issue is brought up to management they wont do anything about it. This was a main reason I joined the gym, so its very frustrating to have to skip around or stop mid workout to wait for someone doing repeated sets on the circuit machines.

I joined last year and havent had any real issues. The gym is nice to workout in, good music etc...and I always enjoy my workout. But Im not sure why things keep breaking. Just a few weeks ago the water fountains were down. And then just today the Wi-Fi was down and I couldnt purchase any drinks afterwards. It makes it inconvenient on members when we cant get beverages; both free and paid. Im hoping things will run smoother in the future.

The Zumba instructors are awesome but the classes are too crowded. They need to offer more Zumba classes.Also, other Youfit clubs have amenities like massage tables, womens work out rooms, and babysitting for the same price - this place just doesnt have the space for that.

They have 2 Eliptical work out machines and one of them has a Temporarily Out of Order sign on it since May 8th!! This place gets crowded which is good. But I noticed that 3 Treadmills now have the ominous sign on them. . . .

Great place to workout for cheap. Have treadmills, ellipticals, aerobics/core area, machine weights, free weights, a circuit system, class exercises, and knowledgeable staff to help along the way. I dont feel heavy judgement like at some gyms. Did I mention its cheap?

Probably one of the best gyms in Gainesville. You definitely get what you pay for and more here. The gym is divided in several sections by the types of machines/equipment you will be using. There are a high number of treadmills and arc trainers that are offered there with a couple of stair masters, able row machines, and octane fitness machines as well. There is the free weight section which includes 2 bench presses, 2 incline benches, a Smith machine, a couple of squat racks, a leg press, sit down calf machine, a fixed military press, cable towers/W pull up bars and a lot more. Then there is the cable section which spans across the whole gym that includes cable machines for the majority of your muscle groups. Then there is the you stretch area In the back of the gym where you have a good amount of room to do body weight exercises, it has mats, weights, equipment for abdominal workouts and a stretching cage. Last but not least is the GX room which is where the have classes for members and where the personal trainers they offer there take you to workout one on one. They have 7 paper towel dispensers and 6 spray bottles around the gym so people can clean up after themselves. I noticed that a youfit cleaner is pretty much always around cleaning the place up so the gym is clean almost all the time. Then there are the locker rooms/bathrooms where they also have 2 showers for you. As you can see the gym has a vast variety of options for you to enjoy for at least 10$ a month. They have promotions all the time here for people wanting to sign up so give them a call and ask about any promotions or specials going on.

Its cheap and has most of the stuff you need. The problem is they dont have enough benches or free weights and its pretty packed. I like anytime fitness a little more when it comes to machine/weights selection. Anyway, if youre on a tight budget you can get a good workout here.

The one girl there in the morning acted like she hated her life and did not want to work there very rude and unprofessional I would receive a call from Youfit Health Clubs telling me that I had a promotional with my account and when I asked about it she was not helpful and Acted as tho I was trying to take advantage of the gym I will never come back to Youfit and hope she gets fired you lost a membership today and I will tell all my friends about how awful the employee’s have been

It was great when I started there, but at the end I was told lies and was charged a whole bunch of money that I was not told about. Worst experience every a a gym and Ive been to several. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
