Must read! This guy agreed to sell me some tools for less than the price on the store tag and after negotiating what I felt like was a really good price, I still turned out to be a few bucks short. I could tell the guy was wishful for me to have brought more money but he was still willing to sell the tools for someone in need. I was certainly happy but people say its not a good deal unless both parties walk away happy. So, I offered a few tools of my own to make up for the few bucks and the guy just let me keep my own trades in case i might ever need them one day... 6 STARS!

The owner is widely known, well liked, and highly respected in the community. From what Ive seen and experienced, he looks for any available possibility of buying and/or selling for not only the customer but the item as well. He genuinely wants to help fulfill the needs of anyone looking for some financial assistance, and will find a way if its within his grasp to do so! The shop had some really great things and will never disappoint.

The group of people that run this store do an excellent job. Its tucked just off of 13th street, on a road that can get super busy, but theres plenty of parking on the side of the building opposite of Starbucks.Every time Ive come inside, theyve been nothing but respectful, knowledgeable, nice and understanding -- especially to repeat customers.Im no stranger to customer service, and they do a superb job Theyre thorough, speak highly of their customers, and take good care of the items they sell.In a pawn shop, these are very important qualities.Their store is a bit smaller, but they have a great selection as well.I definitely recommend.

Went in this afternoon, about 35 mins before closing. I lost the diamond out of my original wedding ring and my husband offered to replace it if I could find one st a reasonable price. I was told by the woman at the counter that they had already put the jewelry away. I asked if she had diamond wedding sets that weren’t clustered and she simply stated she was not getting the stuff out to show me. Poor customer service

I always go to Midtown, awesome and quality selection, great staff, all very helpful never trying to push a sale. Most pawn shops get a lot of criminals so they start treating everyone like a criminal. Midtown feels just like a small mom and pop shop for buying and selling used goods. Great place for Stereo and microphone gear!

I needed a back up small A/C unit and I found one at Mid Town Pawn. They were awesome to deal with, he had the A/C hooked up and running when I got there so I could test it and then gave me a great price without even having to haggle! I am very happy that I found Midtown Jewelry and Loans! Not only have I purchased and sold items there but I also just like to pop in and see what is new. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I love that they even remember my name. The store is super clean and organized and I have never felt like they were to busy to help me! Tried to give us $12 a gram for 14K gold! But Ill still give 5 stars bcus I googled this and found that its normal pricing for pawn shops bcus its a business. So, dont sell gold at pawn shops bcus gold is literally money or even better than, bcus it appreciates over time as more and more federal money is brought into circulation via inflation. Find a jeweler who pays closer to market value for gold metals bcus afterall, its more valuable than federal money.

I have been going to Midtown Pawn & Jewelry for many years. I have bought & sold things from them and Tom & Kristin are always very helpful and kind. They always give me a fair price for what I am selling, and the same when Im buying. They treat customers with respect. I have never had to do a loan with them but Im sure that is a easy process just like everything else they offer!! Very neat and clean pawn shop.. By far best in Gainesville, so check them out!!!!! Their selection is higher-quality and very diverse. While I dont have any experience with selling to them, the owners are Good People and I would trust them. They also do a lot of fun giveaways and raffles on facebook and at the store... theyre definitely worth the visit!

WOW! What a great place to just walk in and look. They have everything no matter what you need chances are they have it (for cheap). most of the stuff ive seen is all higher brand names than some of the other shops. If you cant afford to pay the price they have listed they will barter a better price for you. Its a-lot of fun. when i upgraded my stereo he even bought my old one. The people that work there are full of knowledge of there items and can help with whatever. GO SEE THEM.

Never plan to go here without calling first. They have posted hours on their door, but at least 5x I have gone by there only to find they were closed when they should have been open.

Spoke to Somebody over the phone in reference to an ad they posted on craigslist and was treated terribly. Man was short, rude, and mocked me when I asked for further details on the item. Dont give them your money.

The two times Ive been there theyve been nothing but helpful and kind.
