Awesome store, but prices are just too crazy. Went early 9:30ish and nothing was out yet. Salads, sandwiches, sushi was being made. I was able to get sushi made and waited for it. Just disappointed stuff wasnt out yet. I wanted bread, a salad, and a few other things. Just dont go before noon I guess.

This is my favorite grocery store to go to in Gainesville when I am in town. They have so many options to chose from. The workers are very friendly here and always are willing to help you if you need help with anything in the store.

Would sure be nice to go there and get what I cant find elsewhere, but Ill go anywhere expect fresh market... You can thank 2 pushy associates for this loss of business. Poor managers cant even keep up with the complaints over the same constant issues.I appreciate the response from the business, but theres no way to dm this business.

The whole place reeked of fried chicken, which its pretty gross to have to smell dead animal carcasses through the whole store. They had very few vegan options which is a huge surprise as I thought the fresh market was more ethically sourced than other stores. Their selection was few and far between, with things even like green beans being $6 for a pound of them which is just astounding, especially as its the same brand they have at Publix and other stores. Even Whole Foods has cheaper stuff, and their products are far more sustainably and ethically sourced than the Fresh Market, and Whole Foods has many options for all diets. It was a huge disappointment, I hadnt been in there in years and I figured theyd have changed to keep up with the times, but I guess not.

Love this store and all of the options it has to offer. Stopped here for lunch today. The food is always fresh and packed full of flavor and is colorful. We like their Bistro meals for $7.99. You get a meat and 2 sides. So I got the Turkey Meatloaf with Sun Dried Tomatoes. This tasted great and was very moist. My 2 sides were Cranberry Almond Quinoa and Broccoli Cranberry Slaw with Almonds.

I knew I was going to enjoy walking in and out with a power up dessert and friendly service of every crew:)!

I love this place! I love to go here and get special items. My only set back here is that the service here isnt always the best, by that, I mean, it gets done; but it seems like it only gets done because its their job. No smile...enthusiasm sometimes. I will continue to go there because its not always like that but, it should be better.

Im officially obsessed with this place. They have everything!! The store is sparkling clean and well laid out. They have a great produce section as well as a large wine area.

Fresh Market has always been amazing. the ground turkey at Fresh Market is the absolute best Ive ever had short of grinding it myself. The selection of meats is amazing. Pristine produce, seasonal favorites, hard to find ingredients, many organic products, bulk candy that would make anybodys Sweet Tooth happy, and a fantastic cheese section!

Loved shopping here. The bakery has some amazing cakes and pies. Lovely market. I felt like I was in europe.

The store manager Bill Baker is very rude and likes to hang up on people when you call to complain about something.

Wish I could leave a negative star review for discourteous and prejudice staff.I go to fresh market about once a month for either flowers, bakery or deli items.The cashier said little to me except to tell me the total. She asked the customer in front of me if she worked at UF and gave her a discount, so I asked for same discount because I do work at UF. She asked for my ID. I told her my badge was in my car and told her not to worry about it. Nothing more was said, so I swiped my local bank debit card. It was taking longer than usual still nothing was said then she loudly humiliated me by telling me my ebt card didnt work, then asked if it was an ebt card and if I had another card for payment. After I told her it was a bank debit card, it successfully worked. I am not sure why she tried to run my bank card as an ebt card other than my skin color. There nothing wrong with having an ebt card. It keeps American families from going hungry in hard times. There is something wrong with assuming a person is paying with an ebt card based purely on the color of their skin.In Gainesville I am not usually racial profiled but I was in my neighborhood Fresh Market. The staff is normally very curt and uninvolved but it was the first time I felt degraded by staff.I didnt say anything at the time and I should have because it was mortifying. The staff could use some training on basic communication and racial profiling.All in all, dont waste your time with Fresh Market in Gainesville. Publix is right across the street and the staff there says hello when you walk by and treats you with basic human respect.

I love coming here. It may be a bit pricier than some other stores, but they carry brands, styles and other items that others do not. It is always very clean, fresh, inviting. The people are extremely friendly and very willing to help and try to supply special goods. I have found a rarity in a root beer that is made from the actual root with no added caramel coloring or artificial flavors. It is awesome.

Nice store, great weekly specials we take advantage of...some item are priced higher than competition, but does carry some unique items and brands not found elsewhere

Everything is alright here except for the expired food they sell. All of the Epic-brand beef tallow and pork lard in the cooking fat aisle are expired. Prices are competitive, but dates of products are of concern. This Fresh Market sells A LOT of expired and outdated food.

Love this place!!! Im here every week, and the sushi selections are on point! Their bulk items are worth the visit alone.

Love this Fresh Mkt. One of the few places I have felt comfortable visiting during this epidemic. It is a 40 mile roundtrip for me but worth it at least once a week. Your specials are appreciated!However, today I had to be in GNV for a Doctor appt so I swung by to pick up a Chicken Pot Pie ( Mon special for $9.99). Have purchased before but its been months.Sorry to say, NEVER again. It certainly wasnt what it used to be & certainly not up to Fresh Mkt standards that we are used to. Very few vegetables, a few chunks of carrots but mostly corn. Very little chicken & it was in perfect squares as though mechanically made. No taste & the texture was similar to tofu.Disappointing & a waste of money.** Please dont start compromising the quality of your food.

My wife and I visited the Fresh Market this morning about 10 am. We were looking for one particular item to send to a family member across the country. As we entered I asked the cashier on the first register if she could direct me to that item she was extremely nice as she showed me right where it was. Another Lady filling the loose candy was very nice to me also. There was a spill near the coffee that was immediately closed off with a yellow cone and a lady came to clean it up, I offered to clean it up but the lady told me I was very sweet. That made my day as I am an old guy. When I got to the hot foods the busy gentleman behind the counter cut me half a piece of meatloaf when I told him I couldnt afford a whole one. That was so nice of him. He didnt make me feel awkward. When we got to the fresh bake shop everything looked so nice and fresh. They were out of my favorite, crembrelay, but that was fine as they had other favourites. I made my way to the self service coffee area and it was clean neat and stocked,(very nice). Coffee was delicious and hot. I didnt shop the produce dept. but could not help notice that fruit is all placed, not dumped on the displays. My wife just told me not to forget to mention the large variety of foods in the store. There was a gentleman dressed in street clothes filling the bagged coffee section, he was totally oblivious of my wife and I. He didnt skip a beat as he worked around the mess on the floor that the young lady cleaned up. He clearly is in the wrong profession. By the way we used the rest rooms that were immaculate and well stocked. As we checked our groceries out at register 1 we were treated like valued customers, asked if we found everything alright, very polite and respectful and bagged our items correctly. Then last but not least the last thing we will remember after leaving the register was the cashier thanking us for our business and enjoy our day. What a pleasurable experience!! Pretty pricy, but honestly worth it once in a while. I went for the first time yesterday and the employees were super nice and helpful. I had dental surgery and the staff in the deli/hot food section helped me pick out soft stew meat and sides for an 8.99 meal. Lady who was my cashier was also nice and friendly. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends. They also have super cute giant coin chocolates (I bought some and used them as prizes at a work event) ♡

I usually love this store and shop here weekly. I bought my groceries today ($90 worth) and at the same time returned a bag of potato chips I purchased last Thursday. Serving them with dip my company nad I found upon opening them they were rancid. I brought them back to the cashier who asked if I had a receipt. I told her I did not but bought them Thursday and I also suggested they check the other bags in the store as this bag was so rancid. She replied they sold a lot of these implying I was lying whereas she could have opened the bag herself and smelled how bad they were. I asked for the manager who came out and was also somewhat abrupt and not at all apologetic. All I am saying is I returned a very rancid product and left feeling like it was my fault. Im not sure I will be going back.

Its a lovely place to shop. Unique items that you wont find at any other grocery store in Gainesville. It is a bit more expensive that most places however.

The place feels stuffy and dont have much better produce than the Publix across the street. I always feel judged here and they dont treat me like a customer, but more like an intruder. I didnt have this problem at the fresh market in South Florida.

Fairly good, with good meat. Noticed recently that observable ham has appeared in the Quiche Lorraine, which appeared to be almost ham-less for so long.

Great people at our Gainesville store Kenny in meat and seafood suggests the Scottish salmon and am now a big fan. Best piece of salmon ever. I went back tonight and got a whole side, we cut to our portion size did the sealer and will have them frozen for later dinners. If you’ve never been to a Fresh Market you’re missing the whole experience. FYI I cook the fish on a soaked cedar plank with a maple syrup and touch of bourbon glaze. Do not over cook the salmon!!!

Many things are overpriced here but they have the BEST veggie sushi rolls with seaweed salad in town especially for the price. huge selection of refrigerated specialty drinks and lots of wine samples

Bakery staff today was horrible. Asked for help, one lady spoke so quietly, I could’ve been 2 inches from her and still wouldn’t be able to hear her. The other lady that I could hear was quite rude.

When I first walked in I was greeted by Zach who directed me to a fresh cup of coffee to start my shopping off right, thank you! Turner was also very helpful guiding me to the canned pumpkin. Great place to buy Fresh & Natural Foods. They also have really great bulk bins. Theyre bulk candy and coffee are awesome. They have a really great daily with a wide variety of foods. Its also a great place to pick up food 4 special diets. Plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options.They also have free samples of their coffee, as well as hot coffee you can purchase in store while you shop!

Always liked this place. The sushi is the best supermarket sushi you can get imo. Great service. If you pay attention there are good deals to be going, but some stuff is definitely overpriced.

If you view The Fresh Market as a competitor with Publix and Winn-Dixie, then the prices are generally high (with occasional BOG-x sales) and the selection is quite small. The quality of the products, however, are high, with a majority of the items sold belonging to the non-GMO and organic categories. On the other hand, if you view Fresh Market as a competitor to Whole Foods, then the prices are good/competitive (Whole Foods is a ridiculous rip-off, hence the nickname Whole Paycheck:), albeit the variety still remains poor. Compared to Publix, Winn Dixie, and Whole Foods, however, Fresh Market does not ave much in the way of rooibos tea, nut butters, non-dairy milk and yogurts, desserts, frozen meals, or meats. TheyAdditionally, with the exception of cashier Nicole, service is quite poor. The staff, as a whole, are just not that friendly. Every time I am there, I see bored cashiers and managers walking around either on their cell phones or talking and gossiping with each other. When they are stocking, they do not say excuse me and have no qualms about getting in customers way and blocking access to merchandise with their carts.Nicole is a wonderful cashier, and resulted in the 3rd star (to keep this from beign a 2 star review). She consistently provides great customer service; every single time that I have been to Fresh Market, she goes out of her way to open up a checkout lane when the single other lane that is open gets backed up. She is friendly and takes her job seriously, unlike the girl in the Coffee section and the elderly cashier who works at the furthest checkout lane closest to the managers office.
