One of the best record stores I have ever been to. It is extremely organized and the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of all the records in his shop and more. I 100% recommend for anyone starting or expanding their record collection.

Honest hardcore record shop. Golden gem of a place Andrew is the man!!! Know his $h!t hands down. Wish they had a 5⭐++ for reviews. Been shopping here for years and have never been disappointed in any aspect. So comforting to have a business owner do it old school with the passion to actually know his costumers base. I have walked in more times than I can remember with him saying Did you see I got the new ....... Walk around the counter and pull it off the shelf for me. Could be a tactic lol on his end but love it.Keep up the amazing work you do! Please!!!!

Had a nice selection of records. Also their covid plan of action is great, taking temperatures at the door with sanitizer and giving gloves out. Didnt have what I was looking for unfortunately. Definitely a chill/safe spot to dig.

||• Great buying experience on old records, also, Andrew carry new released on Vinyl from many genres which is a plus. The prices are from the 80’s hahahaha…the conditions of the uses LP’s are neat (cover and media). Highly recommend!

An amazing collection of lightly used CDs in a variety of genres from pop to punk. The owner was low key, friendly, and highly knowledgeable of his product and music in general.The owner is still requiring masks (as of 6/17) so make sure you bring one.

They pretty much always have what I need and when they dont, the store owner will order it and it arrives quickly.

I had a great time and got exactly what I wanted! I can feel kinda of out of place when around people that are into vinyl records considering I’m a teenage girl and for some reason there is a stigma around me enjoying things but I felt very welcomed! Will definitely be returning :))

I went in to Hear Again Records for the first time about two days ago and the owner Andrew was amazing! So knowledgeable, kind, and willing to give a record-rookie like me plenty of recommendations. The prices were great and the selection was incredible! Not to mention how cute of a store it is. Both my friend and I were able to find a selection of records and posters. I am so excited to make a second trip.

I LOVE this place. I have been able to grow my used vintage classic rock collection. Ive also gone into his store numerous times with a want to explore new genres. After I suggest a vibe, aesthetic, or feeling, he suggests artists that fit what Im looking for. Hes hit the nail on the head every time. Ive been getting into Southern Gothic and he turned me to Tami Nielson and Bobbie Gentry. I would never have found this level of badassery women if it wasnt for the owners suggestion. Im quickly becoming a regular. Thank you SO much!

This is one of my favorite record shops I have been to. The owner is super chill, friendly, and knowledgeable. He is also very responsive on social media and is willing to hold things/set things aside for you. If by some chance what you are looking for isnt in stock, the staff will take the time to look for it online to see if they can order it. Absolutely great selection for new and used. No complaints. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere! Love to go and browse whenever I can. I always come away with at least one album, their selection is vast and has something for everyone. Almost my entire collection has been purchased from the shop. I have found some of my favorite albums, and found some old ones I love. Andrew, the owner knows where everything is. Its quite amazing. You can ask for any album or artist they have in stock, and he can point you to the exact bin. Overall, its a great experience and a great shop!As for Covid and the ever-changing status of the world, the shops commitment to Covid safety is top notch!

This place is truly a gem in Gainesville. It is everything you want out of an independent record store experience right now—an amazing and diverse selection that can keep you browsing forever, a kind and knowledgeable owner (who will never judge you for your music taste haha), great tunes going in the background that add to the homey atmosphere, and a super COVID-safe environment.Andrew (the owner) is amazing and has consistently gone above and beyond to help out a customer: whether Im having issues with the tonearm on my new turntable, trying to repair a warped record, or need to figure out why a new one is skipping. Since Im new to vinyl I always have a LOT of questions and I always learn something new from Andrew.Worth mentioning again that his COVID-19 procedures are very thoughtful (limited capacity for social distancing, required masks, temp checks, sanitizer, disposable gloves). He clearly states the rules with multiple signs inside and outside the establishment, and is absolutely consistent with them to ensure the safety of everyone. Even though I started this hobby in the middle of a pandemic, Im really grateful to be able to have that classic, irl record-store-browsing experience while still being safe and healthy. Owner was highly disrespectful to me and my friends. I think it was a color thing we were five African-American walking into his story and he was very disrespectful to us made us feel very uncomfortable

Extraordinarily fair pricing ($12 bucks for Grateful Dead Europe 72 Live - eBay prices were $40++ - I dont mind a worn cover), clean, well organized, and the owner doesn’t act like he’s cooler than you are. What more could you want from a Record Store? Highly recommend.

Have bought many records here, at all the right price, and some that are even harder to find in other stores! Also the staff has always been very friendly, going out of their way to help me find records, even offering to order them for me.

90% of the records are sealed reissues and or brand new records at the same price you can buy them from the labels or Amazon. There was a very small used section but a lot of those records were just used reissues. They had some fun vintage posters for sale however that were $1 each.

Couldnt recommend this place more. Once of the best record shops Ive been to in the U.S. Great staff, great selection, great prices, great music.

One of my favorite record stores in Florida. A real gem! Fully stocked selection of any genre you can imagine: rock, jazz, world, blues, punk and more. The owner and staff are very helpful and know their music. I’ve got some awesome albums from listening to their recommendations. Go visit! You will find something you haven’t seen before and something you can’t live without.

My favorite store in town. Im always looking for something new, and Im never let down by their recommendations. They carry mostly new vinyl, but all of the used vinyl is high quality and undamaged. Everyone that works here is exceptionally knowledgeable, as well. Almost never can you bring up an artist about which they do not already know. Very friendly service, also.I highly reccomend Hear Again as your first stop when searching for vinyl.

I have been coming to Hear Again for 2 years. I am a avid collector of records and always been satisfied. Records are always new and up to date. If hear again doesnt have the record you want; employees work hard to obtain the records you want. Records are priced well for being new. I am glad Gainesville has such a community orientated record store.

I was in Gainesville for a tour of the University of Florida and decided to explore around town and I noticed this record store. I recently got a record player and was looking for some good tunes. The guy running the store was extremely friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. I was looking specifically for What You Dont See by The Story So Far and the owner didnt hesitate to help me locate it. I loved the ambiance and the friendliness of the owner. Fantastic store, Ill definitely be back soon.

Hear again is hands down my favorite shop. They have an incredible stock. Will always help me find hard to get albums. The staff is always friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Some of my best times are waiting in line out front the morning of Record Store Day. Andrew took a hold of this staple and helped usher in the new era of music making sure vinyl was always present in Gainesville. This became especially important when Charlie from Hyde n Zekes passed away and Sharpes closed when the owner retired. Without Hear Again my record collection would be nearly non-existent.

In the past couple of months, they have increased and improved their record selection. I really like the new arrivals bin because with the recent improvements, I can see myself being quite a regular customer.This is also a great place to grab tickets for shows around town.

Clean store with ac, all albums were meticously organized in alphabetical order. Some used and lots of new music.

Hear Again is Gainesvilles only real remaining hub for general vinyl enthusiasts. The location is great, the stores layout is nice, and the guys who run the place are generally pretty helpful. They keep patrons updated on recent arrivals via their Facebook page and keep a list of everything they have in stock for quick reference. My only real complaint about the shop is that it lacks the feel or atmosphere of what most would consider a record store. The white walls and clean racks give the feeling more of an art gallery than a record store. Regardless, this is definitely a place to visit if you have any interest in vinyl.
