I stopped by Great Gatherings in Gaithersburg and was simply amazed by the beautiful holiday decorations they had right when you enter the store... And scattered throughout the entire store! They have great sales on holiday items as well as air hockey tables, pool tables, dartboards, and foosball tables!!! The employees were friendly and very educated on their products and could provide helpful ideas.

We purchased our pool table and a few high game chairs from Great Gatherings Store last November, 2019. We also were using their service to install our pool table. The service in the store was awesome. Manager and sales people were very friendly and helpful. We were deciding to get used table from Market place vs new table from Great Gathering store and they gave us pros and cons about each(new/used) table to get. Of course we went with a new, nice and shiny pool table from their store. We chose a fabric and a color for our pool table. The total package and the price for all of it was great and we got delivered our table less then two weeks and placed in our game room. No issues with the delivery or placing the table. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Our sales representative, Steve, was informative, helpful, and low pressure and helped us find and buy exactly what we needed and suited our budget. As promised, received a call the following day to schedule delivery. Our two delivery men, Mike and Chris, were the best I’ve experienced among dozens of moves and large furniture deliveries. Mike is a true professional and craftsman in setting up the pool table. This was the best money ever spent on delivery/set-up. Great Gatherings does not sub-contract this work and Mike has been setting up pool tables for the company for 10 years. Finally, Ben, the Store Manager, was extremely helpful in finding us the perfect mirror to complete the set. Thanks everyone at the Great Gatherings team for making this the best room in our new home.

I want to start off by saying that the customer service at this store is amazing. We recently bought a professional grade pool table and a beautiful wine/liquor cabinet from this store. Jay LaMalchaux is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to show us around the store and helped us to mix and match different deals the store was running to find the perfect setup for our space. I will say the only issue we had was during delivery. We were told that our furniture would be delivered within 1-2 weeks from purchase. The pool table was delivered on time (by week 2) by the best white glove delivery service weve worked with. They were efficient and took the time to go over different set up scenarios in our space that would offer freedom of movement and the best shots. They left us with a clean and level table and weve been completely happy with it and have received several compliments. However, we were supposed to receive the wine/liquor cabinet same day and we werent informed until they were leaving that it was going to have to be scheduled for another day. They couldnt offer any other information other than it was pushed back. I called the store and Jay made himself available immediately. He let me know that they informed him that morning that there was damage to the original cabinet, so they requested a new one to be made and sent. He apologized for not letting us know sooner and promised to do what they could to make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the targeted date for delivery went by and we still didnt have the cabinet. I followed up with the store and spoke with Ben--Again, phenomenal customer service. He reached out to the warehouse immediately and had them schedule a time to deliver the cabinet ASAP. They came to deliver the cabinet, but because it was in one piece, they said they couldnt get it down the stairs into our finished basement. They asked if they could leave it upstairs in another space. We were disappointed to say the least. We were actually able to get it downstairs into the intended space on our own with no damage and without having to take it apart. I called the store to let Ben know and he immediately apologized for the lack of service and refunded the shipping and delivery charges. The delivery people had also left our new dome light for the stairs on a low chair after they removed it and my baby pulled it down shattering it. Luckily he wasnt injured, but Ben asked us how much it cost and promised to refund this as well.Long story short--If the customer service hadnt been so wonderful, this experience would have left a not-so-great impression and we probably wouldnt have shopped there again. However, they were always understanding and did everything they could to make it up to us. The furniture we have is excellent quality. I mean absolutely stunning and solid wood with a beautiful finish. We are really looking forward to our future purchases and working with Ben and Jay again!!

He has helped me with our furniture purchases more than once and each time we received a 5 stars customer service from the very start till the end. If anything, the quality of the store was understated; it was one of the best customer service experiences weve had in a long time. Dylan, the store director, and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and professional, striking a good balance between offering insights and knowledge and allowing us time to browse through the merchandise. Our furniture was delivered quickly and professionally and, when it became evident that it was going to be difficult to get everything onto our fifth floor patio, Dylan actually came over and personally helped with the most demanding aspect of the move. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

During my recent visit to the Crown town center for a dinner Ive discovered an amazing toy store for grownups. I was amazed at the extended collection of outdoor furniture they have. From outdoor seating to dining seating the choice was amazing. Additionally they had some game room furniture, arcade video games, barstools and billiards tables. Awesome sales help-- cant wait to get the furniture! We went last week to the Great Gatherings store in Gaithersburg, MD looking to hopefully finally settle on patio/deck furniture, something weve wanted for eight years now. As soon as we started looking around (and possibly like we needed help) we were approached by salesperson Steve Plitt, who was awesome throughout the entire process. He was amazingly knowledgeable, got answers where he was unsure, helped us to plan our entire deck/patio arrangement, meeting all our quirky and specific requirements. He was extremely patient and helpful as we picked out every detail and then processed all the paperwork. Steve also gets extra kudos for being awesome at addressing whoever asked the questions (me or my husband) but also always answering both of us together. It was a nice balance we seldom see in the retail world when we are shopping together. Everywhere else wed been since this past April we ran into dead ends or sales people who werent listening carefully enough to really understand our wants and needs-- but Steve did all of that, giving us his endless attention, help and guidance. We had an overall amazing and positive experience from beginning to end, and now are anxious to finally see this at our house and be able to use it after waiting so many years. Its a big investment, but one that well hopefully enjoy greatly for many years to come. I was in the market for a new outdoor patio set for my backyard, however, I wasnt too familiar with pricing, quality products and what style I was looking for. When I walked into Great Gatherings of Gaithersburg, I was promptly greeted by Mr. Rick Wang who was a great help for me. He was quite knowledgable and was more than willing to help me find what all I needed. He was able to answer and assist me with all my questions and I felt like he was honest and trustworthy which made me feel good. I didnt feel like he was trying to make money off me or anything like that, a very genuine guy! I ended up purchasing a nice patio set that my family will definitely be using a lot this summer. Theyre products are of great quality. I will continue to go to Mr. Wang and Great Gatherings for my outdoor needs.

I love this store! We just received our patio furniture and it is beautiful. We visited many stores for furniture and accessories but always come back to GG. The quality and price are just right. Shout out to Rick Wang in the Gaithersburg store. Easy to work with and knowledgeable about the products. Hes a real 10! But the customer service didnt stop there...our delivery people could not have been more pleasant and professional. Great experience at Great Gatherings!

Bought outdoor furniture about a month ago and it was just delivered - looks fabulous. Jay was our salesman and he really took a long time to help us customize the pieces and get exactly what we wanted.

I have been familiar with great gatherings for years. Living in Gainesville Virginia, we had a location that I would look around from time to time. Now living in gaithersburg, I find myself in there more frequently. Darryl was able to answer questions regarding absolutely anything in the store. The staff at this location is very knowledgeable and professional. I recommend all my friends and family to stop in and shop with them! Job well done gaithersburg!Also, popcorn on Saturday, most amazing thing ever!!

Nice, but a bit pricey.

I was recently on the east coast visiting family in Maryland. After lunch we stumbled upon Great Gatherings. The associate who greeted me was was very friendly and seemed genuinely pleased to have us in her store. Her name was Valerie. She made us feel very welcome which made our visit that much more memorable. She explained to us what the store was all about. My family loves to host parties and we found some very unique items that worked perfectly for such occasions. Valerie was very knowledgable and helpful in aiding us with our purchases. I wanted to make sure to leave a review because nowadays it is very rare to walk into a store and receive such great customer service and it is something that I appreciate very much. Had Valerie not been so helpful and friendly, we most definately would not have purchased as much as we did. We found some great outdoor furniture and new barstools for my families kitchen! I will absolutely be back on my next visit to Maryland, and I hope that I get to see Valerie again. She is absolutely a gem and a valuable asset to the company she works for. Also, I should mention, that although Valerie was the one who assisted us on our visit, all of the employees we encountered (I did not get anyone elses name) were delightful! Kudos on a great staff, with excellent customer service! Always a breath of fresh air to see a company take pride in making their customers feel welcome! Thank you, thank you!
